  1. Just the type of player he is, he is a hot commodity. I don't wanna see him on Anaheim. Even for Etem, Silfverberg/Lindholm/Vatanen, and a 1st. If we were to take Fowler from them, I would think about it then.
  2. Uhhhhh, Anaheim is already a favourite to win the cup. Do you really want to male them better. And even worse, watch Kesler shut down the Sedins for 6 games per year. Might as well write 6 losses in the L column, because it's unlikely we would win.
  3. Or we may just have a change of heart if Vancouver deals Edler for Mika Zibenajad and Cody Ceci. Sedin-Sedin-Kesler Higgins-Zibenajad-Kassian Burr-Matthias-Hansen Booth-Richardson-Sestito Hamhuis-Bieksa Garrison-Tanev Stanton-Diaz Lack Yak Not bad

  5. Seriously...not cool everybody ripping on MG. MG got schooled at the draft by the best GM ever. Understandable. Horvat is still a stud though. The fact that this cloud over the team from the whole Lu debacle can finally start to dissipate is the biggest part to this. Now the healing can begin.
  6. Apparently we retained some salary. Don't like that as the contract still has 9 more years in it.... Yeah, not too happy about that. Better be less than 2 million.
  7. Kind of thinking Edler will be sent to Ottawa. Looking at all of what has just happened thru waivers and such, they definitely have something cooking.
  8. If they aren't interested in acquiring Kesler, they are probably interested in weakening the Pens roster to the point that they will lose in the playoffs easier. I.E. Softening on their stance on Matta.
  9. Umberger is a great piece. He isn't just a throw in. We would have to add Hansen, I suspect.
  10. Yeah, laughable, my a$$!!! Everybody is lowballing. Kesler is QUALITY!!! We don't want to give him up! So if we are gonna give him up, we want the player or players you don't want to give up. It's that simple!!!
  11. That's player development and scouting for ya. Dumping players before they go bad. I'd say stay away from Pittsburgh, MG!
  12. I mean, when he makes the team. Having Shorty say it on live TV.
  13. Agreed. I like the idea of a defensive bluechip too as we have none. I mean, except for maybe Ben Hutton. Even then, I still wouldn't say is on Pouliot's level. Personally though, including salary, I don't believe Pittsburgh has the ability to get it done, which is why they have been trying hard to knock down Kesler's value. Uh uh, not happening! We will just ship him to Columbus! Gotta believe Kesler and Umberger would be professionals enough to work together. What do all of you think of Kes Schroeder for Dubi Jenner Murray ? Considering the quality of players coming back and Kesler being the best player in the deal, I would do it.
  14. Gotta say...watched a couple videos of what Bo has done recently. There was one pass where he left 3 guys scratching their heads, thinking how the hell did he get that pass thru?! Also, is "BO-Dragging" gonna be a thing now? I feel like that needs to be a thing.
  15. Wouldn't call that interesting. I would call that another attempt to knock down Kesler's value. "Kesler is worse than Staal offensively and defensively." Nope! Second best penalty killer in the league and his "cushy" time with good line mates and tons of powerplay time. Couldn't be more wrong.

  19. If it were Chicago and it were Teravinen and Saad and the next two years of 1st rounders, I would add Higgins. Or maybe another prospect added on their side and make the 2015th 1st added if they win the cup.
  20. I say not a chance he waives for Montreal. If he did though, those pieces are needed. And if Galchenyuk is off the table, for sure no Kesler. I like Gallagher, but not that much....

  22. I doubt it would happen, but I would be all over Prust in the bottom 6. Him, Galchenyuk, a 1st and a 3rd I would seriously consider it.
