How would he like being put out there with a group who was sent out to fight?! That would change his tune real quick! Gotta put people out who can handle themselves!

Best way to deal with the Oilers is patience. Wait for them to make their mistakes. They are quite great at that.

Funny...other than the goalies, all the players at the skate today are players coming back from injury or have something to prove.

These are points the team can not afford to lose. I really hope to see some young guys like Kassian and Dalpe step up tonight and have big games. They want the opportunity to flex their offensive muscles, they have got it. And if Kesler gets close to 30 minutes tonight, I won't be happy.

Those guys are a 4th line who can play too though. I wouldn't buy that Russian Fedotenko is out there to fight. And I would take Brandon Prust on this team, over any of our 4th line. No questions asked!

Have no interest in any more than 3 Flames. He is definitely not one of them. Only guys who's names rhyme with Cracklund, Bjordano, and Frodreau. -
O'Reilly would help for sure. For Edler...Mmm, I don't know. I do know a couple things: 1) Edler is really not doing so well under Torts. His points aren't even coming. Some discussion has to happen to find out how happy he really is here. If he isn't, he must submit a list. 2) With the circumstances we are currently in, Ryan O'Reilly would fit (or Paul Stastny). I am betting Henrik doesn't play Tuesday... 3) Guaranteed MG has been trying to find some way to dump some salary. Nobody is going to bite on Booth and Torts isn't seeming to give him enough rope to play himself out of this funk. If we had the salary to play with, someone would be added with alot of scoring ability. 4) MG already knows how badly the twins need a puck moving defenseman to make them a threat off the rush. One who can skate the puck in hard. It shows in their stats. It would take an idiot not to notice that. Campbell would be perfect for this team and that's pretty easy to see. So the question is, do you write off this season and ante up next season? I think that depends on the Edler situation. Maybe just maybe AV would value Edler in New York. He is fully aware what he is capable of.

[Lebrun] Canucks want a Center

Tanev for Vermette if Edler can't be moved. I believe they would be equal value. -

wouldn't be surprised to see Booth "shut down" for the rest of the year to ensure the buy out. But then again, if JML can be moved, he should be able to be moved too! -

Goes to show how much this team misses Burr. We need him back more than ever. And we need him scoring goals!!! -

That being said, the only reason to trade for Ott is because we move some our bottom 6 redundancy for some quality goal scoring. Last tonight's game is evident enough. -

Yeah. Ott is the only "rental" that really makes sense. I am also with the group who doesn't want to give up picks for just a rental this year. -
You know, alot of people really underrate Brendan Gaunce. Yeah, his skating may need work, but speed can be adjusted with leg strengthening. His shot is very good though. His release is outstanding. It's NHL caliber without a doubt! He has the brains. If his speed was there, he would have probably been a top 10 pick, I believe. I still see him as a Mike Fisher ceiling kind of guy. If that's what we got in Gaunce, I am quite happy with that 1st round pick.
-
Does Sutter just really not like Gaunce?! I mean, there's gotta be a reason. Maybe it's his skating that didn't get him on the team. The WJs are overseas this year, so larger ice surface, but one could argue that he has played better than Shink so far. I just don't understand. Happy Horvat and Shink made the camp though. Shink is definitely a bubble guy though. Really needs to impress.

Interesting as I have thought about this too! If Mike Santorelli can continue his pace though, how much is he going to be worth as a top 6? Thus far, he is definitely producing as a top 6 forward. I thing it all depends on what he signs to be. Let's say Horvat makes the team next year. It's quite likely he will. The kid has got it! If Santorelli wants top 6 dollars, we just can't keep him. If he agrees to a bridge contract and flops between 2nd and 3rd line with Horvat, as they both develop. The better man at the end of his bridge contract, gets the top 6 role. As it stands now, if Horvat makes the team next season (really believe he will) and if Santo signs a bridge: Sedin-Sedin-Kesler Burrows-Santorelli-Hansen Higgins-Horvat-*Kassian Sestito-Richardson-? Weise* Schroeder* Dalpe* Welsh* Tanev* I think Kassian is coming to a crossroad. He will be an RFA along with the other 5 I starred. It's coming to a point where we can package a couple of good young players for a more developed young player. People rag on Edler here and then say that he needs to be traded for 2 or 3 pieces. All we have is depth!!! I'll take talent for 500 please, Alex! A rebuilding team will gladly take a couple of young depth pieces like Dalpe, Kassian, Schroeder, and Tanev and give us a good young player. Would rather Kassian just develop into that kind of guy, but how long must the team wait for him to take that next step. Also, if Edler somehow does get traded (which I would rather over Tanev) it will be a 1 for 1 deal.

3 best Prospects, 3 teams. Some will believe it's coincidence. I believe it's providence. Morpheus.
