CanuckleHorse replied to RWJC's topic in Canucks Talk
There is this jinx that seemed to hit many players maybe you heard of it they call it the sophomore jinx. -

CanuckleHorse replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Not to mention greedy superstars who demand a huge part of the cap and ruins their teams chances of becoming a dynasty. -

(Article) Ilya Mikheyev's recovery may keep him out of pre-season games
CanuckleHorse replied to RWJC's topic in Canucks Talk
I would love for him to miss the second of back to backs for maybe the first 2 or 3 just to give him that more time to be fully recovered. -
His skating and stick handling reminds me of a Slovak named Miroslav I used to call him the magic man.
-
Watching him grow is pretty amazing this is almost a homegrown talent we had him since he was 18 that’s close enough.
-
I would buy game tapes of his shifts if they sold it.

[Report] Sven Baertschi announces retirement
CanuckleHorse replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in General Hockey Discussion
He had the puck and Kf*ck wasn’t coming from the blind side also didn’t throw an elbow. -
Sorry if this was suggested already I didn’t go through before posting but this gave me goose bumps when it was used for Bure.

What started his concussion issues not even a call or suspension for the hit to the head. -
[Signing] Bruins re-sign Trent Frederic
CanuckleHorse replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Now let’s try and acquire this young man who is going to be a force to be reckon with, him and Lawson Crouse are at the top of my list of players I’d love to see in Canuck colours. -
My guess is spot duty vs 1st or 2nd line minutes was better for his development he can work on his offence and get more time with the puck on his stick.

What I like about this kid is it’s all about developing the tools to become a valuable piece and you can tell he’s committed.

Just because you think it don’t make it true this dude has the skill to play in the NHL now I’ve seen goalies come and go this is not a flash in the pan and who are you to say when he’s ready it’s not an exact science so quit pretending like you have all the answers.

[Discussion] Payback is a …..
CanuckleHorse replied to shiznak's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
I think some coaches destroy a player’s confidence when they don’t do what is expected this kid is a speed boat Gerard probably was trying to get him to play more of a complete game when he should be given a tiny bit a reign and let him run a bit.
