[Rumour] Canucks interested in Patrik Nemeth

Replacement for Schenn if he decides to leave -
If only that were true, he’ll report to training camp unless we force him away

Agreed, since we aren’t a contender anytime in the near future, does this really change anything when its likely our best moveable asset? Besides Petey, Bo, Hughes, Boeser what do we have that is more valuable than a 1st? Are we that sold on Miller that he’ll make that much of a difference to trade our 5th best asset? I’m not. I like the player, I’m not sure I like the trade, especially when we need a much better player than Miller on this team to be a contender and just gave up our most moveable asset

No one can make that claim logically, what is the probability of making the playoffs? It can’t be determined. What you can do is look at the roster as it is and see that we are far away from being a contender. Not being a contender is at much more risk of missing the playoffs then making it. You guys just have your homer glasses on. Last year we were 5 wins away from the playoffs and 5 wins away from 2nd last place. Somehow that translates into making the playoffs. The argument is we are improving as we have young kids whom will get better. True, so does every other team. When you have huge holes in your top 6 forwards and top 4 D, its going to be hard to reasonably say this team makes the playoffs

That is under the assumption that its a coin flip both years, would you say a team that has missed the playoffs 4 years in a row has a 50% chance of making it? By that logic that every year is a coin flip we’ve defied laws of probability. Keep up with the personal insults though, makes you look like your point is more valid when you sling mud. In reality though, just makes you look like a tool.

Well the position got screwed yesterday when we locked up both 1st round picks in the Miller trade for the next two years
-
I hope so, sounds logical
-
He won’t sign for 2 years, he’ll go somewhere else. Good chance he does anyway unless we overpay.

No guarantees Tryamkin is coming back. Supposedly he didn’t really like the NHL, didn’t understand why when you through a clean hit, you have to fight. I somewhat agree
-
Gaborik did, so it must be true
-
Eriksson will show up unless we trade him
-
Sounds about right

Which you had to give up a 1st and a 3rd. Hayes cost a 5th to negotiate and sign him to UFA numbers, I would rather have Hayes and keep a 1st rounder. Would I trade Miller for Hayes? No way, but if this type of player was yourvtarget would I have traded for his rights and sign him for a larger contract to keep a 1st round pick, yes I would since the pick can easily be a lottery pick
