  1. I’m not a big fan only because I really like McLeod; hence why I’m open to see how he turns out. I’m not against the pick by any means. I don’t believe you should draft for what you need instead of taking the best player available. I think McLeod has very good potential to be an impact player. You can never have too much talent as you have no idea what’s happening in the future. Heck Defence used to be our position of strength now its our weakness in a very short period of time. Things and needs change all the time. Best player available is the best way to draft. I hope Woo turns out, I’m just not sure what his ceiling will be
  2. Nice solid pick. Character guy, could be a real gem as a depth player.
  3. Not a huge fan of this pick, but we’ll find out. We definitely could use a good two way right handed D with some offensive upside like Woo. However I really like Ryan McLeod who just went to Edmonton
  4. Yes we will be terrible enough!

  5. Please just sign him already and get him over here for the last 8 games
  6. A friend of mine saw him buying beer pong supplies at Walmart, he's taking his off season very serious it seems
  7. Ugh... good prospect, but I still would've tried to add another skater rather than a G. Demko is a better prospect at face value, so I don't think it's a priority. Great goalie prospect though, huge in the memorial cup
  8. Except he's a team first guy and a leader
  9. Really excited about this pick, hopefully he can work on his skating. Most goals by a draft eligible player in the OHL. Say his ceiling is Jeff Carter
  10. Sportsnet Pacific, same channel as round 1. Starts at 7
  11. Hague and Ratcliffe are definite considerations. Both are huge, both are talented, both are what we need and what we can use. Please no goalies today, I know we want prospects but we have more than enough depth in net for a year to pass. Time to stock the cupboards with some players, especially in round 2 and 3.
  12. Moving forward only 1 or 2 of those likely have the ability of scoring 30+ goals a year, and only two are 70+ point players; only 3 of those are apart of our future. So yes, we are lacking skill, especially since none of them are bonafide top line players, with only Boeser and Horvat have the potential to turn into one.
  13. I agree with you, except our toughness can be found in Grenier, Labate, Gaunce, Dorsett. The problem is the team employs Skille, Megna, Chaput etc.
  14. We don't have nearly enough skill to do anything significant besides having a lottery pick. I don't think we have even hit rock bottom yet.
  15. While toughness is important, this team right now needs to focus on getting skill. Doesn't matter how tough you are if you have no skill then you aren't going to go anywhere
  16. I think fans are just concerned about when the Sedins retire and we have Eriksson another few years at 6 million when his best days are behind him. I guess we'll deal with it when it happens
  17. Yes Year 1 and 2 - NMC Year 3 and 4 - Full NTC Year 5 and 6 - Limited NTC
  18. No but an easy trade to a team to hit the cap floor. Easy contract to move in the last 2 years
  19. Looking forward to this signing. He plays a style that could be productive at 36

    Linden Vey | #7 | RW

I understand that JB was desperate and needed to make his mark on the team, but this trade was a $&!# show from Day 1. We will probably regret not drafting McKeown
  21. Hopefully he keeps driving to the net, it's easy to revert back to being a perimeter player, only way he's going to be successful
  22. Oh for sure but with the size he brings you know he's going to have to stand up for himself eventually, it's a small piece too a much larger picture
  23. Let's just agree that he hopefully will become as a beast to play against and that he intimidates the other players. He definitely has the potential and him having to fight is a small piece to a much larger picture
