I’m not a big fan only because I really like McLeod; hence why I’m open to see how he turns out. I’m not against the pick by any means.
I don’t believe you should draft for what you need instead of taking the best player available. I think McLeod has very good potential to be an impact player. You can never have too much talent as you have no idea what’s happening in the future. Heck Defence used to be our position of strength now its our weakness in a very short period of time. Things and needs change all the time. Best player available is the best way to draft.
I hope Woo turns out, I’m just not sure what his ceiling will be
Not a huge fan of this pick, but we’ll find out. We definitely could use a good two way right handed D with some offensive upside like Woo. However I really like Ryan McLeod who just went to Edmonton
Ugh... good prospect, but I still would've tried to add another skater rather than a G. Demko is a better prospect at face value, so I don't think it's a priority. Great goalie prospect though, huge in the memorial cup
Hague and Ratcliffe are definite considerations. Both are huge, both are talented, both are what we need and what we can use.
Please no goalies today, I know we want prospects but we have more than enough depth in net for a year to pass. Time to stock the cupboards with some players, especially in round 2 and 3.
Moving forward only 1 or 2 of those likely have the ability of scoring 30+ goals a year, and only two are 70+ point players; only 3 of those are apart of our future. So yes, we are lacking skill, especially since none of them are bonafide top line players, with only Boeser and Horvat have the potential to turn into one.
While toughness is important, this team right now needs to focus on getting skill. Doesn't matter how tough you are if you have no skill then you aren't going to go anywhere
I think fans are just concerned about when the Sedins retire and we have Eriksson another few years at 6 million when his best days are behind him. I guess we'll deal with it when it happens
I understand that JB was desperate and needed to make his mark on the team, but this trade was a $&!# show from Day 1. We will probably regret not drafting McKeown
Let's just agree that he hopefully will become as a beast to play against and that he intimidates the other players. He definitely has the potential and him having to fight is a small piece to a much larger picture
