    I disagree, Canucks have very few players worth protecting, so adding Lucic to the list isn’t much of an issue. Lucic is much more valuable to this team than Eriksson.

    I don’t undervalue him, I just don’t think he is very good. He’s a 3rd liner IMO, doesn’t skate overly well, doesn’t have hands, doesn’t play overly physical, has a nice release and average offensive awareness. Sounds like a 3rd liner to me. Glad to have him back though, as he’s better than a lot of guys on this team. Pearson is an ever slight improvement on Leivo but not by much, another 3rd liner.

    Yet he has to clear waivers before being able to be sent down. So really he only collects his two-way salary if no other team wants him for the NHL. So people saying he’s too crappy for the Canucks but not crappy enough for the Stanley Cup Champs is crazy; he’s an NHL player until no team wants him.

    Probably because Luongo has a job lined up with the Panthers and he can’t be on LTIR and working for Florida. Either that or he wanted to screw us on purpose.

    Wow finding out that he was offered the same contract by the Habs to re-sign and he chose Vancouver makes me like him even more. Great job JB for the signing and especially the contract!

    In: Myers, Benn, Miller Out: Granlund, Gaunce, 1st, 3rd, Hutton, Pouliot Seems like a great offseason so far especially since JB didn’t overpay for Myers and Benn.

    Well we aren’t there yet, but we are much better than the end of last season. A physical guy in the bottom 6 like Reaves or Lucic would sure help things nicely
