  1. My issue with the last part is all four children still to stand to benefit significantly fianancially from this which weakens the argument that it is more credible. Had one or more of the children actually been aged out and will not benefit at all from signing this then it leads to more credence to the allegations.
  2. What are you talking about? https://www.tomshardware.com/news/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3090-ti-launches-at-1999-dollars Given this is in $US, it still prove you are going out of your way to look for the most ridiculous price ask to justify something clearly you clearly got wrong. Also 3090ti is definitely not mid range. K I know I'm off topic so I'll stop before derailing this into a tech thread.
  3. Lol a mid grade gpu for $5000. Dude don't exaggerate. A 3090ti cost below $4000 during the peak of the shortage unless you are looking to screw yourself over. Two of these which for one is completely pointless as I'm not sure it can even do sli, cost $8000 at most. Rest of components at inflated prices would still mean a computer cost at most 10k.
  4. I accounted for that and it does not get that high. Heck Autodesk360 cost $1555 for three years. https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/overview?term=1-YEAR&tab=subscription
  5. And you clearly have no idea about high tech and engineer8ng software cost. Yes it is high but definitely not that high. Not saying it is not justified but really curious on how it got that high. I work in high tech hardware and used many engineering softwares and such at work and school so I do have an idea of the costs associated.
  6. I been through engineering school, the cost even buying the programs ourselves instead of using school licenses does not come close to that price tag. I am even factoring in going all the way to PhD. Software cost on that level usually entails group or enterprise licenses instead of individual. Only reason I can think of is if they need really customized software for their research which first would mean getting funded by the Professor and be in PhD programs which doesn't sound like the case here.
  7. I think JR was thinking along the lines of a theater like briefing/meeting room that a lot of professional team have now. He said that the media room is getting converted to something.
  8. Better question is it even possible to build a $48,000 personal computer. By personal I meaning a CPU and at most 2 GPUs. Anything more than that should be covered by the University. I know software can cost a lot but it ain't getting higher than 20K and that is being very generous.
  9. Question is did she get fired or just left for another opportunity. Either way she had red flags coming in with how short all her tenure is in various position. From an outside view, she does seem like the type that is not a team player.
  10. You worded it better but essentially the same thing. He wants prove that he is paying for their stated purpose. I see nothing wrong with that. If I am asked to fork over tens of thousands for something, I also would want to be damn sure the money is going to the stated purpose. This is not defending anyone or parroting anyone, just common sense business. The kids and wife are entitled to those money but the issue is if they had met the burden of prove needed with the limited information they did gave. I do not know what the standard is hence neutral on the situation. Original comment was for those posters that just assumes Francesco is in the wrong for not just paying whatever amount they put in front of him. Let the courts hash it out.
  11. A $48,000 computer! That kid better be a PhD candidate doing a dissertation on astrophysics simulations.
  12. Hence why I say let this play out in court. We are all conjecturing without knowing the personal details regarding the relationship.
  13. I doubt character witness is gonna change anyone's mind. He can have his maid or brothers say he is a good dad and none will believe it. So that is out. Phone records from the kids and wife is not something easily obtainable without court orders. We are talking about allegations from a long time ago. Details will be fuzzy and the allegations don't provide enough details of timeline to get anything useful. Lie detector can work but those things really ain't that reliable anyways. As for the four kids signing, it really doesn't matter to me anyways cause they all have a vested financial interest so you may as well treat it as one entity. It, for me at least, carries more weight had one of the kids been considered an adult and reap not financial benefit from doing this or they had say their nanny or neighbor sign on. Just my 2c. Let the courts and police sort this out.
  14. The contentious issue here is that the kids and I guess wife is refusing to show proof of the expenses accured from their education. I would not label anyone a deadbeat for refusing to reimburse cost without receipts from the stated purpose. That is busines 101. Let the court play this out before labeling anyone anything. There is just way too many holes to plug with the information we have. That said Franky need to step away from the team for the time being to avoid becoming a distraction.
  15. Pretty damn hard to give evidence that you didn't abuse someone. The burden of proof is an the accuser as they would have evidence like photos and medical records.
  16. There are ways to setup third party to verify all the information without the opposing sides having to know all the details. This court case seems a bit extreme if all side are being faithful/truthful in their actions.
  17. Yes but there is also the case that these kids don't want to or unable to wait for their father to die and inherit the money. That might take another 40 years. They may need money now for whatever reason. Not everything is gonna be textbook in the real world.
  18. This have way too many holes to make an informed opinion at this time the biggest of which is the refusal to show proof of enrollment. There is absolutely no reason to not fax an enrollment letter of just the official tuition bill to Francesco unless there are shenanigans involved. As for the Canucks, Francesco needs to excuse himself from being the face of ownership and let one of his brother take over. As for selling the team, as others have said, Francesco ain't the owner. The Aqualinis don't need to sell team as long as it is clear Francesco have zero involvement anymore with CSE should the court decide the abuse have legs to stand on.
  19. I don't think that is true anymore unless we are talking about low end retail like jobs. Many companies are already implementing hiring freezes and layoffs. Then again it may be just my perception due to recent struggles in the high tech sector.
  20. Well I think we can officially say Boeser is made of glass.
  21. All I am going to say is I better not see record profits from these gas companies in their next quarter or fiscal year.
