Okay I'll shoot
#1:
A. Markstrom, in the last year of his contract, really depends how good Demko is. Will he be ready by 20-21? Markstrom could also be a candidate for Seattle in the expansion draft if Benning resigns him for 2+ years. I don't see him being on the team longer than that. By 2021 DiPietro should be ready for the backup role.
B. Sutter, expires July 2021. I expect him to remain on the team for the entire 2019-20 season. And perhaps being traded with retention in 2020-21 or being bought out. Either way he's gone by 2021.
C. Tanev, last year of contract, probably Canucks' best trade piece. Their likelyhood of making the playoffs by the 2020 trade deadline will depend on if he's traded. Otherwise I could easily see him walk in free agency and cash out if he has a good year. Likely gone by 2021.
D. Baertschi, 2 more year left at $3.36M. Budget contract will look even better when the cap goes up. I could see him playing out his contract here. He is a solid 3rd liner who will put up 40 points consistently. But I feel he will be pushed out in favour of younger players like Hoglander and Podkolzin who will likely be on the roster by 2021-22. As I said Baer will likely play out his contract and walk in free agency in 2021, if he is not traded by then.
