Kakko hits and blocks shots? I would like to see that. Agree to disagree, I guess. Kakko isn't huge he's only 6'2 190 and he's a sniper while Hughes is a playmaker. The Matthews/Laine comparison isn't skill type it's difference in skill level. Matthews was the consensus #1 pick all year and so is Hughes. But I hope you prove me wrong cause then you will look like a genius instead of a fool! (JK)
I'm sorry man. 100% respect to you for trading for the 1st overall. But how do you not take Jack Hughes???? It's like passing on Matthews for Laine....
Even with Mike Richards' drugged out corpse having been taking up $5M of space in the locker room for the past 4 years, Minnesota still has just under $20M of cap space. No contract is too big!
@Salter
Minnesota releases:
JT Brown
Brad Hunt
Anthony Bitteto
Chris Butler
Josh Jooris
Taylor Leier
Andreas Martinsen
Michael Chaput
Anthony Peluso
Brett Lernout
Dillon Simpson
Leafs will lose Kapanen and Johnsson but I wouldn't call it cap hell when they have lots of guys in AHL waiting for a call up, and the still have $7M to sign two defensemen. And then after this year they get Marleau off the books. They will sign Marner, I have no doubt.
Minnesota will not be re-signing Ludwig Bystrom, Vaclav Karabacek and Egor Yakovlev as they have all signed overseas.
We request they be removed from our 19/20 roster.
Thank you!
Why would Colorado be interested in Markstrom when they traded for Grubauer who will likely be their #1 next year?
You might want to change your thread title because your OP doesn't once mention any of the 4 teams in the thread title.
I was hoping for an analysis on how screwed they are or possible ways to dig themselves out, but no, just more ramblings from CDC's top rambler.
Dallas Stars qualify Robby Fabbri, Nick Cousins, Joakim Ryan, Cody Ceci, and Sergei Shumakov.
Dallas Stars release Valtteri Filppula, Andy Greene and Magnus Paajarvi.
