Should us "elders" say that the Opiod crisis only affects people under 40, so that we should not help them, or care for them?

Remember, in the regular season , if the Canucks play a back-to-back game on the road, they are not playing the same team. So they have to travel over night and maybe play a rested team that is at home. If they had a tough game, that may have gone into overtime in their first game, the team they play against on the second game won't have had that. So, one thing about these play-offs back to back, is that it is even for both teams.

One thing that a lot of Canadians might not know is that, in the USA, the school funding is done district by district. So, if your district is in a poor area, then you may get less money per student (sometimes by far), than the white richer district only a few blocks or miles away. In BC, we try to even it out a bit more, so the level of teaching, curriculum, and equipment is more even.

I worked for 13 years in a school that was all self-paced, in all courses for all students. We had up to to 1400 students taking 8 courses each all self-paced. It worked! But it took about 3 or 4 years to get to where we wanted to be. There was very little online courses. Most courses were reading to get the information. I did 110 Math videos under "minkusbc" to help out, but primarily it was reading with lectures involved as well. It is possible. But it will not happen easily right away. So much depends on how self-motivated the learner is.

Watching this team reminds me of that great line from the movie, "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid". They kept looking back at the posse chasing them and saying "Who are those guys anyway?". I thought those guys were out of it last night when they were down 3-1. Almost turned it off, but like the posse, they just kept coming and coming.

It has always bothered me when refs "put the whistle away", especially on a blatant foul. I remember a World Cup Rugby Final that went into a ten minute overtime. Both teams scored on a penalty kick (then one won it with a drop goal). But they still did call penalties in the overtime of a World Cup game, they didn't put their whistles away!
