  1. He's earned his rest although, more than likely, he's already busting ass on workouts and training for the upcoming season.
  2. The question on our minds after the big win over Calgary: How old is Kate Upton?

Does it really matter? We all still would...

  3. Now is not the time to jump of the bandwagon, it's time to circle the wagons! Fight hard! GCG!

Never would. Go Canucks Go...one game, we'll get it back and some!!

  4. We shall have fisticuffs not unlike a giant primate who flings barrels at a small, italian plumber!

  5. Two years ago, that player was Biega. Recent play of his has changed the minds of many fans. Sometimes it just takes a little extra time, the right coach, or being given an opportunity for a player to succeed.
  6. Let the smear campaign - BEGIN!!

  7. Agreed, really stoked about this kid. The change in his game since the beginning of the season has been dramatic - and I thought he played well early on! Faceoffs, as we all know, have been what he is most known for but I've really noticed his physical play, blocked shots, and speed rounding out his game a lot this past little bit. I wasn't sure whether I wanted to make the playoffs this year in order to solidify our talent pool but I think that the playoff experience for our young guys like Bo will be invaluable. I also think that with the success of this "experiment" of having a rookie (multiples this year, though mostly due to injury) in the lineup it should pave the way for others like (my pick/wish) Gaunce to come in and have the same opportunity next year.
  8. Phil Kessel: All time low in hockey, all time high in donuts & twinkies

      Source?!

I heard that Kessel was traded for Ovechkin and a 1st.

Kessel was traded for Seguin, Hamilton, and Corbin Knight. This trade makes me laugh every time

  9. Torn between wanting a decent draft pick this year and having all of our rookies experience playoff hockey

  10. He's finding a way to contribute every game. Against Minny, he knew he wasn't doing well in the dot, so he just took it up notch everywhere else. More often than not though he is winning more draws than he loses, he's finishing his checks, keeping his feet moving (not just "watching" the game like earlier in the season), being a thorn in the side of anyone coming through centre with the puck, and getting to the net to grind those goals out. Really having fun watching him develop every shift.
  11. I remember at least a couple of good feeds - showing some offensive iq. I'm loving the composure he's showing. Also took a defensive draw when we were up one IIRC. Early trust from the coach. Definitely earned another game.
  12. It does cost bucketloads of money to learn english...This will likely be the determining factor whether this kid comes over or not. He could just learn english the way the rest of the world does - by watching MTV, Jersey Shore and random Adam Sandler flicks on Youtube. Or, you know, the Canucks could hire a tutor.
  13. I heard Roland's name called in the background while Button was yammering on and thought we'd picked him--what was the trade?!?
  14. Definitely gonna get another good one at 50
  15. wow, a little disappointed there - not gonna lie. Good goalie though
  16. Team 1040 has a draft show going - still lots of decent talent available, looking forward to the next few minutes...
  17. Time to take a flyer on Guillaume Gelinas?

If he's still available from rounds 5-7 sure.

Went undrafted, anyone can sign him now

  18. After watching those Perlini highlights, it seems that the TMLs got their own third-round steal in Verhaeghe last year. While I don't see us taking him in the 6-7 spot, would love to somehow get McCann - he looks to be something special.
  19. Shanny will find the right angle, don't worry.
  20. Anyone think we'll get a look at Markstrom tonight?

The selection process for the award is in three parts. First, the head coaches of NCAA Division I schools nominate the top three players in their league and the top three players in the nation. College hockey fans can also vote online at this time—and fan voting can be an important factor in the balloting outcome. Price Waterhouse Coopers tabulates the votes and the top 10 candidates are announced. Voting then commences for the "Hobey Hat Trick," which is a narrowing of the field from ten players to three, from which the winner is selected. The primary voting in this part of the process is by the Hobey Baker Memorial Award Selection Committee, a geographically balanced group of 27 individuals representing print and electronic sports media, college hockey coaches and officials, and NHL scouts. Fans may also vote online for their favorite candidate during this phase of the process. After the three finalists for the award are announced ("Hobey Hat Trick"), the countdown begins toward the announcement of the award winner in a nationally televised ceremony. Voting by fans is part of nature taking it's course...
