1. Canucks finish 1st in the North Division: 39-14-3.
2. We are going to dominate most games from start to finish. By the time the our opponents take
us seriously we will be well seated in a playoff spot.
3. Hoglander plays select games and wows us in a few.
4. OJ has a slow start but gains momentum and is huge for us in the playoffs.
5. Demko makes us forget about Marky. Holtby has some off games but shines in most.
6. Miller/Pettersson/Boeser continue to grow.
7. Virtanen stays even with his point production last year but is huge for us with the hits.
Lastly we win the cup vs the Islanders.
The questions come off so poorly because they are almost passive aggressive by there nature but
subtle enough that they hope the players dont notice. They DO notice and its an insult to think they
wont be noticed. Did Holtby or Shmidt get asked about weight?
How has no one noticed this??? Horrendous questions, anti-team/anti-organization questions.
The questions are absolutely NOT grounded in genuine interest from the fanbase. Its like the
media are giving them zero respect for what they did last season. Fyck sakes i would have
their heads! The audacity to ask those questions!
Markstrom was not THAT good sorry. He was IMO in that part of a goalies development curve where he got the league
figured out so he looks awesome at times, but the league has HIM figured out too so he gets exposed on some softies
at some very bad times. I thought the game got in his head a bit.
"when he wants to" thats my ONLY gripe with the guy is he needs to be a little bit more tactical about how
he deploys himself. The game he took 9 penalties was on one hand a bit much because of how much it
took him out of the game, but on the other hand he brought his physical dominance to Chara levels at times.
Its what we have been begging to see from Ferland. We lack that level of grit so he elevates himself far
past Edler in my books.
Im lost on the whole TT thing could someone fill me in? First, could he still sign with the Canucks or is it
that he has moved on or has the team decided not to offer him anything so hes moving on by default?
10-11 million dollar contracts are the Toronto model. We see where that is taking them. If you look at the past 10
years Stanley Cup winners there are VERY FEW contracts in that range. Hughes I would MAYBE pay 8-10 million.
Still want to see more from Pettersson but I see him 6-8 million. Dont just go throwing around the 10-11 million number.
Uggggggg Wow does that sting. HUGE off ice personality great ON ice player. The intangibles
that we lost here with Manny, are off the charts. Maybe enough of the fundamentals are
ingrained deep enough we wont notice the technical side to the loss but hard to replace
that level of character.
Actually the loss makes our cap situation super easy
Goodbye to:
Markstrom
Sutter
Virtanen
LE (If possible)
Maybe even Brock Boeser.
Sorry But Virtanen did nothing and BB didnt do even close to enough. No passion
no push out of either of these two. Nothing personal just have fun on another team
we have bigger plans.
As to the rest WOW what group of guys we have. SO excited. When we get rid of
the dead weight it will be awesome to watch this team.
Well it was a good run guys, no way in hell we take 3 games from them.
Been an absolute blast cannot wait until next year no matter how it ends.
Hoglander, Pod, maybe Tryamkin, who knows the future is as bright as the sun.
Travis Green poor decision making almost single handedly costing us the series.
Leaves Markstrom in and hes awful.
Leaves Virtanen in and hes been awful.
Leaves Boeser on the same line and hes been awful.
