Watched the game tonight and he was much better! I knew he was injured while watching his previous performances because he wasn't playing his typical hard nose game.Something was clearly bothering him and you noticed it tonight he is playing through something. I noticed he has really good playmaking abilities. I knew it was a part of his game that was underrated and now I see why. If he played with guys who could put the puck in the net he probably would have had 3-4 assists tonights. Nice to see him get 2 goals different ways. Special player you will win playoff games with. Couldn't be happier and can't wait to see him in a Canucks uniform soon!

What a snipe

He looks hurt right now. He was gliding a lot tonight and I didn't see him actually try to use his speed. Wonder if he's got a groin or foot injury? Normally he gives it 100% and it looks like he's giving 60% out there. I doubt its from a lack of effort but I can't help but notice it. It was like watching Jake (skating only), I was like move your feet and use your speed!

He skates like Matt Tkachuk. Honestly tough game for Podz -2 on the night. Did some good things like taking the puck to the net but again nothing to show for. I swear you put him with guys that dish the puck and you will see results. His line mates don't pass

Canucks release 2020-21 regular season schedule
Outsiders replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Canucks Talk
Taxi squad is going to be really important. Some guys will probably play 20-30 games. Players will need rest and injuries will happen.Hopefully Lind and Hoglander get good games in this season! -
Really hoping he makes the team. He's competes hard and has high end skill. Canucks need to start to make room for some of these guys. Pearson is a free agent at years end and after last season is probably looking for a raise into the 4.5 range which the Canucks can't afford. It is exciting times as Hoglander/Lind are close and Podkolzin is coming hopefully at years end. The problem is we have way to many forwards which are ultimately gonna hold Hoglander and Lind out no matter how they perform. Sutter and Loui really hurt us.

Anyone else see the article about Gaudette becoming a PK'er?

Anyone else see the article the Canucks are trying to work with Gaudette to turn him into a Pk'er?

I feel many people overlook Juolevi because he isn't flashy like a Hughes or even Rathbone, but when he was drafted he was never suppose to be that guy. He was a solid two way guy, who was good at everything but not elite. He was never going to be flashy or a true number 1 guy. However, I believe injuries have really held him back. He has always played well wherever he's gone. I still believe he can be a strong two way top 4 d man and let's remember those are extremely valuable. Let's not worry about where he was drafted. I think he can be a 20-30 point guy for us once he is a regular. He makes smart plays and can move the puck. I certainly haven't ruled out Juolevi and I really do believe that once people see him play games for us that they will change their mind.

Something’s gotta give (Trade deadline coming?)
Outsiders replied to DeNiro's topic in General Hockey Discussion
Can't remember where I read it maybe Pierre LeBrun? around 3 weeks now tho, he said that a lot of trades were close like framework done but teams were wanting to wait until there was more clarity on the season. Take it for what its worth lol probably just speculation on his part -
Reverse retro jerseys - Complete list

Kings top the list for me! Yotes and Lightning also really like Then Minnesota and Vancouver -
I believe Chris Faber interviewed him i'd say recently (since summer) and he said he has gained a step or two. I just tried looking for it and of course can't find it. I'll look some more and post it below if I do! It is episode 113 of Canucks Conversation, but I can't find that episode for some reason. I see 115,114,112 but of course 113 is missing..

I can't wait for Podz to get over to Vancouver. Miller-Pettersson-Podkolzin I think this line could be incredible. JT is so good at retrieving pucks and winning battles it is perfect for Podkolzin to play along side him. Pod does this very well and has enough skills and IQ to play along side Petey. Could be a great puck possession line. Then after this season Hoglander-Horvat-Boeser

It should be 2 home A's and 2 away A's Miller Boeser Pettersson Schmidt

Pettersson podcast appearance sets off Twitter storm.
Outsiders replied to cuporbust's topic in Canucks Talk
People got nothing else to talk about I guess. People need to learn to live their own life and mind their own business. It is pretty simple, if you don't like the pod just don't listen and carry on with your day. No need to bash Petey and storm twitter. I have listened to a couple episodes of players I like or ex players and have always found they don't cross the line. I don't listen regularly so I'm sure they say borderline things but I find they don't cross it. Re the Roenick interview the boys Biz and Whit did try to save him and say woah careful but Roenick kept going. Now, there is no excuse that kind of stuff, and shouldn't be said period but definitely not recorded and posted on a podcast. Roenick has been held accountable for what he said. -

Wonder if this moves Gaudette to second line RW Pearson-Horvat-Gaudette Gaud had 12 G 21A on the third line with second PP time. Wonder if he could get to 20 goals 25 assists on Bo's line -

[Speculation] Canucks interested in Tyson Barrie
Outsiders replied to brian42's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Barrie can move the puck and that is what we struggled with against VGK. Hughes can't do it all himself Just worried that Brodie got 4 years 5 million from the laughs so what is Barrie gonna want? 5x5.5? We can't do that. He has to take a discount to come. My offer would be 3 years 4.5 million. He does put up points and I'd take a 45-50 PT defensemen anyday. Edler-Barrie Hughes-Myers Juolevi-Benn -

Happy with this! 2 year deal not 3 is important. Demko your the guy, and if he goes through tough times, Holbty is there. This is perfect!
