The thing about this situation is that I don't think there really is a way to investigate this properly. It's a he said/she said, and unless there's a smoking gun somewhere, nothing can be proven. That isn't to say that he's innocent, but it's hard to imagine anyone finding any evidence of guilt.
Regardless of all of that, his playing days in the NHL are done.

I thought it was a cross check from behind. Just under the two minute mark of the second period of the last game he played.. I hope he's wrong about the wrist.
