well now they can knock him threw the end boards.

  2. I wonder how long it will take for CDC to get out of "HIUFBOUWDBOWYUFWOEYFWE8!!!!!!!!!!!!" mode and start talking realistically about what the best option at #5 is....

Some get hung up on win/loss ONLY.  We're likely getting a solid prospect.  We are a young  team with speed and an exciting future.  I'm on board for that.

  3. Bunch of crybabies lol. We're going to get a great player, and neither Alberta team cracked the top 3.

And crying about not winning this lottery helps this cause how?

Wow. You're really claiming that I "don't care" because I'm not bitching and moaning about not winning the lottery? That says a lot about you as a person. Perhaps I'm simply seeing the fact that there are silver linings to be had. Perhaps I'm acknowledging the fact that we had a very slim chance of landing the top pick, and that we're going to be picking exactly where we were most likely to pick. Perhaps I have faith in this organization to build up a winner while being able to deal with setbacks (even though, as I said before, this isn't really a "setback", as we're going to be picking exactly where we were most likely to pick anyways).

So...what would you have me do? Bitch and complain about something that can't be changed, or look at the silver lining?

Sounds to me like you're pretty much ready to jump ship off of this boat, in which case, I kind of hope you drown.

      You won't be missed.

  4. It's gonna be fun to see CDC explode when we get 5th overall.

5th over all is still good. even 6 is still ok. its not top end elite talent but hell we are getting really really good players none the less...i am kinda worry about MATTHEW TKACHUK.  i am playing nhl 09 and i picked his dad just for giggles and dam 4 mil for his dad... his son will want father advice and shoot for the moon. we must be careful about it.

  5. Hopes are far too high here. It's not happening. I'll still be happy with either Tkachuk or Dubois.

      48MPHSlapShot

What's wrong with being happy with one of the guys that we're likely to get, @RRypien37? I kinda have the feeling that you're going to be the "negative Nancy" when we finally find out where we'll be picking.

  6. Former pro wrestler Joanie Laurer (Chyna) has died :(

    A pioneer of women's wrestling.

    RIP.

  7. Damn. My post/rep ratio is freaking good. Then again, I shouldn't be surprised. I am pretty awesome.

  9. Troy Stecher signed by Canucks! You other teams can take your precious playoffs. We got the real prize!

He is not going to make the team right away. They can stash him with Subban in Utica for a year minimum. They still have Larsen another RHD wild card for next year.

I have a feeling if there is a jam on D a guy like Biega who is a career minor leaguer will just get waived. I doubt anyone would care about exposing him to waivers rather than trading someone like a Pedan or Sbisa to make room if Subban or Larsen really surprise in camp next year.

    3. bushdog

      bushdog

makes me think there might just be some serious competition at All camps in the fall!

a team can Never have enough prospects.  pick the best and keep looking for someone

better - what it's about!!  I like this signing a lot, the guy had a lot of people talking to him.

maybe knowing we drafted demko and boesser helped...

    4. 48MPHSlapShot

      48MPHSlapShot

Exactly. A little internal competition is a good thing, and you can never have too many prospects.

  10. Stecher signed. A little initiative for Boeser not to pull a Justin Schultz. HINT HINT DEMKO.
  11. Awesome! GM Jim Benning gittin' er done.
  12. ZOMG!! Boeser is doing exactly what he was expected to do!!!
  13. Hopefully now that our 3rd worst record in the league is locked up, the poisonous mentality that has been running rampant in CDC ends. Go Canucks, Go!

  14. I've never been so disillusioned with this fanbase as I am right now.

winnipeg won and calgary tied us plus they have the tiebreaker

      and we're winning games

      Everyone happy lol

  15. One of Benning's main strengths is being able to find potentially great players deeper in the draft.

    Case in point: Tryamkin.

Instead of spouting doom and gloom over our prospects not being considered to have elite potential at 18 years old, maybe have a little faith in our drafting and development of said players. A players development doesn't end at 18 years old.

Nor does development end at 22. People definitely give up on players a little quickly around here. It's mostly impatience, I figure.

    4. Tre Mac

      Tre Mac

Right now it seems like that is his only strength tbh.

  16. I look forward to seeing what T-Rex can do next season, after putting in a full offseason of bringing himself up to NHL level fitness standards and being given more time to adjust the NHL sized ice.
  17. Pretty disgusted by the mindset of members of CDC. I want the best possible pick as well, and part of me is somewhat happy every time to team loses and gets better odds at landing the #1 pick, but to actually be criticizing the team for playing well and winning a hockey game is a pretty piss poor mentality to have.

  18. Canucks win. Horvat gets two points. CDC- "F##@ F$#@ F#@$!!!"

Just this year. Not 5 years besides with the new lottery system you can't tank properly anyways.

    3. DeNiro

      DeNiro

Fans can deny it all they want but almost all successful teams have top 5 picks. Canucks management are the only ones who think picking 10-25 every year equals long term success.

    4. 48MPHSlapShot

      48MPHSlapShot

And what's your answer? For the players to throw games? For management to put the young players we do have in a position to fail every night? (I'm sure that wouldn't hurt their development AT ALL) To suggest either one of those options is morally reprehensible.

  19. When winning feels like losing...

  20. Really? I state that I'm not impressed with his play on this particular day, and that's what you give me? OK then. How about this. I expect him to perform to the same or similar standards that he has performed literally all season?
  21. So what? Everyone is a Pokémon now? Bunch of copycats.
