  1. Myers ain't netting us a 1st and Dickinson is a cap dump. Our run last year was nice, but we cannot count on a blueline like ours together us through a full season, and this might be the best chance we have of fixing it without going into a full rebuild.
  2. I don't see why we can't get both done. We have some huge potential trade chips in Miller, Boeser and Garland.
  3. We need both. A big, crease clearer AND a Marino type. Our right side is a complete mess as it stands right now.
  4. I'm thinking this could be Petey's breakout season. He was flying in the second half of last season, and with a proper training camp and being unhindered by injuries, I could see him netting 80-90 points.
  5. Looks like the Rags are going hard after Dubois. Can't say I blame them.
  6. Yeah, I know. Defensively sound top 4 RD are hard to come by. And to think Benning let Tanev walk for nothing. &^@#!
  7. Odds are DiPietro doesn't amount to much in the NHL. If someone offers you a late 1st for him, you take it and run.
  8. Since we're talking about Carolina, Pesce would look great alongside Hughes. Just sayin'
  9. This takes LA out of the Miller market, but could this make Minny a potential landing spot?
  10. A full blown rebuild won't be possible if we're holding onto Petey, Hughes and especially Demko.
  11. If they're not willing to part with Schneider, they can kick sand.
  12. I went with the Boston package. The pick is only a second, but we land a great prospect is Lysell and, more importantly, get the RHD that we need. I like the LA and NJ packages as well.
  13. Their pool is bare. They won't be giving up Lysell. Teams don't seem to be quite as attached to their 1st rd picks as they do to their own prospects, so I think Carlo + a 1st might be doable.
  14. Agreed. My limit would be mid 20's, which is why I named Carlo and Marino. There'd need to be an add by the team landing Miller though, particularly if there's retention or an extension is in place.
  15. IF we move Miller, I'm hoping it's a bit more "hockey trade-ish", seeing as nobody seems willing to give up their A+ entry level guys. A top 4 RD in their mid 20's would go a long ways towards fixing our blueline for the foreseeable future. Even moreso if we move a winger like Boes or Garland for one as well. Hughes- Carlo OEL- Marino That's a pretty goddamn solid looking top 4, and our blueline would be set for years
  16. The difference between Miller at 50% retained and Kadri isn't going to be enough to cover Nichuskin and Manson's salaries, and if they fail to negotiate a new contract with Miller and they don't win a cup, then they've lost Bryam for nothing. That's not a risk any GM in the league takes, let alone arguably the best GM in the league.
  17. Would you move him for one year of JT Miller if you were in their position?
