  1. One has to believe that moving Brock out, considering what he's been dealing with, wouldn't exactly sit well with his friends on the team, unless he specifically asks to be moved. Petey doesn't exactly have a long contract
  2. I'd rather keep Garland over Boeser, but I'm not opposed to resigning Boeser if the price is right either. If nothing else, it'll be fun to point and laugh at people butthurt about it.
  3. Green. Regardless of Benning's many, many errors, it seems clear as day with how the team performed under Bruce that they likely would have been a playoff team had they not crashed and burned under Green early in the season.
  4. I'd put OEL a bit higher, Petey, Garland and Boeser lower.
  5. Bumping this thread was a cruel joke xD Most of the posts here didn't exactly age well. Oh well, that's why none of us are NHL GMs.
  6. If he can keep his current level of play up over the course of a full season next year, look the &^@# out. I still have worries about his size and strength, but if he can be effective despite his size, then it really doesn't matter much.
  7. Who would have thunk after the debacle under Green that we'd still be in the race at this point. However things go down the stretch (assuming they don't completely crap the bed), they should be proud of what they've managed to do under Bruce. The turnaround has been incredible, regardless of whether they squeak in or not.... .....but it'd be a lot cooler if they did.
  8. Meh. I'd rather state my opinion, risk being wrong and that five years later someone will find that statement and quote it as some sort of "gotcha" than sit quietly and shut up. It's not the first pick I've been wrong about and it certainly won't be the last.
  9. Nice to see Brock come back with a big game. Regardless of whether or not he should be traded, all of the $&!# talking was really getting on my nerves.
  10. Metallica guitarists new solo stuff. Pretty cool.
  11. Never figured you'd turn heel, Alf.
  12. Having one of the greatest seasons in Canucks history and yet the team isn't going to make the playoffs. We would be a cellar dweller without Miller. Miller is without question the best player on the team though, and the best player that this team has had since the twins were in their prime. He's going to cash in on his next contract, and rightfully so.
  13. I was in that thread fighting the good fight and pumping Karlsson's tires early in the season. I know it's too early for me to proclaim victory considering that Karlsson has yet to even sign, let alone play a single game, but if things continue to go the way they're going, I'm going to be a little petty and rub some noses in it.
  14. So if Karlsson comes over here and has a really good season and Dahlen continues to flounder next season, can we bump the Dahlen for Karlsson trade thread every ten minutes like the trolls were at the start of the season?
  15. The Motte stuff sounds eerily similar to how Benning operated during the 2020 offseason.
  16. Folk are gonna be real disappointed when the teardown doesn't happen and we push for the playoffs with largely the same group next year
  17. I don't have a horse in this race because I really don't give a crap about Hamonic, but this sounds like bull$&!# to me.
  18. It just occurred to me that the folk that fluffed the previous regime are the ones that are gonna be crapping on this regime, while the folk fluffing this regime are the ones that shat on the previous regime. And whenever the next regime comes in the sides will swap once again. It's the circle of life here on CDC.
  19. Our meddlesome owner brought in a management group that was half old boy's club, half diversity hires, while guys like Gilman and McFarland were left on the shelf. Of course this whole thing was gonna be a farce xD
