  1. I doubt it. RD only signed for two more years at a somewhat reasonable cap it. That's worth something to someone
  2. I'm thinking the return is a 1st rd pick. That's apparently what the Kraken were looking for, so considering this happened before deadline day, I imagine the Leafs went for it.
  3. The field of potential buyers should open up in the offseason as well. Teams on the outside looking in right now that feel they just need one more big piece to get them into the mix could step up. Right now we only seem to be talking about the Rags and the Avs
  4. Lundqvist is a little small for my liking, and considering that was similar to their rumored offer for Miller, I don't think they'd part with a package like that for Garland, even if he is on a nice contract. If we do move Garland, I think LA makes the most sense. They have a lot of solid defensive prospects stockpiled.
  5. Yes. The Pen fans on HF seem to covet Boeser, since he reminds them of James Neal, who had a ton of success playing with Malkin. I think there's absolutely a deal to be worked out for Marino. I'd love to ship Poolman to them, but realistically it'd probably look something like. To Pittsburgh Boeser (50% retained) Hamonic To Vancouver Marino Kapanen
  6. Kinda wish this game wasn't happening today. Chances are they'll win it and that'll somehow convince management that this team still has a chance and that they shouldn't sell. Feels like this happens every year.
  7. Unless we're dumping Dickinson or Poolman on the Leafs I see no reason to do this.
  8. Considering that Boston and Florida just massively improved, you'd like to think teams like, say, the Rangers or the Pens might want to try and make a splash as well.
  9. I wonder if we can get a top 10 pick AND ship out OEL's contract if we give up Garland and agree to take on a few bad contracts that are close to expiring. Nah, I don't think any GM in the league would be that stupid
  10. Exactly. That said, you will be happy to know that I'm on the "trade Miller" bandwagon now. Maybe it's fickle to change your view so drastically after one loss, but considering how important this game was, I've lost any faith I have in this group.
  11. Hate to say it, but I hope they lose tomorrow so we can end any fantasies of making the playoffs and have a firesale on Monday.
  12. This team doesn't deserve any faith put in them if they're going to lay consecutive eggs in the most important two games of the season. Blow it up now.
  13. Brock has officially become the new Player Name, only LE could at least play the PK well enough.
  14. Laying a giant egg in the most important game of the season. I'm swapping my blue lightsabre for a red one. Blow it up.
  15. There's a part of me that would like to move our best players to the Pens and Canes just to bury the Rangers for dicking us around.
  16. I agree, but I feel like that's all teams are offering right now. Quantity over quality. I don't really care about retention though, considering Miller only has 1 year and change left.
  17. I made this point in the Miller thread. Lots of volume and B prospects being moved, or prospects with plummeting stock like Tippet, but no A+ pieces being moved. Prospects that are likely to make a big impact while still on their ELCs are more valuable than ever in a flat cap era. No team is going to move pieces like that right now. We're more likely to get multiple late firsts for Miller than an A prospect.
