  1. Dude is on pace to have a top ten season in Canucks history in terms of production. You don't trade that away unless someone pays up the wazoo. He's literally having one of the best seasons in franchise history. Doesn't seem like some folk are quite understanding that, or the effect that moving him will have on the team.
  2. Honestly, I think at the very least he'll be here until next year's deadline. By then management will likely have a clearer idea of what type of money and term he's looking for and whether or not he wants to stay. Sure, the return won't be what it would be now, but it would still be something significant. Point is that the vibes I'm getting tell me they want to give themselves every opportunity to resign him. He won't be moved at this year's deadline, and I doubt he's moved in the offseason. If he's moved at next year's deadline then we'll know for sure that management didn't feel as though they could resign him. Folk are just gonna have to deal with that.
  3. At the very least he won't be traded at the deadline. Bruce just gave him a massive endorsement and management doesn't seem thrilled with the offers being thrown our way. When he's not moved at the deadline, the level of seethe from some folk will be absolutely glorious
  4. With an endorsement like the one BB gave Miller, there's no way he's moved at the deadline. Don't know about the offseason or next years deadline, but for now, it's pretty obvious Miller is hanging around for now. Doesn't seem like management have been thrilled with the offers thrown our way anyways. I'm glad we have a smart management group.
  5. After Bruce's comments tonight I doubt Miller is going anywhere at the deadline.
  6. If that doesn't scream "Please don't trade this guy!" to management, I don't know what does.
  7. You do realize that this team wins a lot more than it loses under Bruce, right? If you're looking for losses maybe follow the Yotes instead.
  8. You also had "bad vibes" over the NYR game if I remember correctly.
  9. I wonder what the folks that were so adamant on having Juolevi in the lineup over Rathbone to start the season for, among other things, the sake of "asset management" are thinking about this?
  10. I used to be team Orca, but I've grown pretty tired of it. Sign me up for team Skate.
  11. His +/- is that bad even with 60% Ozone starts? Jeez.
  12. This kinda says all that needs to be said. People can talk all they want about who has the more "complete" game, but at the end of the day the market has dictated that production is king, hence why Brock makes more money than Pearson.
  13. I wouldn't move Miller for Bryam. Don't get me wrong, Bryam could end up one hell of a player. Maybe even a legit Norris candidate, but the concussion issues do scare me, not to mention he's a LD, which is the side we're stronger on. Unlessbwe were to play someone on their off side or play one of Hughes, OEL or Bryam as a third pairing guy, it just doesn't make a lot of sense to use our best trade chip on him imho.
  14. I'll take the under. 2 trades. One major, one minor. I see Boeser being moved, probably to either NJ or Pitts, and I see someone like Schenn being moved to TO for D depth. Miller stays put for now.
  15. No reason to move Garland unless it's for a significant overpay. Young top 6 forward with some bite to his game locked up for under 5 mill per season.
  16. I think some folks here are underestimating Zacha's value pretty significantly. Remember what we thought Virtanen was worth during his "breakout" year in 2019/20? He's worth more than that.
  17. Poolman has negative value with that dumbass contract Benning gave him. Hell, so does Dickinson.
  18. Probably the best thing to come from this recent stretch is Petey's resurgence. I've been pretty hard on him myself, but thank God he's finally back to his old self. This team kinda lives and dies by Petey.
  19. These Benning vs Gillis threads are cringe. They're both gone. Just move on, people.
  20. God, it really is a shame that we had to start out the way we did. If we have BB coaching us from the start of the season I think we're pretty comfortably in the playoffs right now.
