I'm thinking if people had've kept posting here like on CFF, they would've pulled the plug by now. Maybe I'm wrong I'm, but I saw the timeline go like this.
1. Decision was made to close the forum because in "their" minds it's an antiquated form of social media with limited reach and some controversial things were being posted so it wasn't worth the liability.
2. Outcry was louder than expected so they decided to stay the execution briefly to allow the community to either plead it's case and/or save stuff on here in order to move to a new independent place.
3. Pretty much everyone left, hence no more liability so forum stays until someone gets around to closing it or liability puts it on the priority to do list.
Could be wrong, but that's what it seems like to me.
