  1. You can only get that through the draft.... Very early in the draft.
  2. And that's the main issue, respect. The Canucks tried to win with class.... They got ridiculed. The Canucks try to play with edge.... They get ridiculed. PJ Stock with his rant epitomised what the league and much of the media seem to want with the Canucks, to be the skilled whiny wimps that get bullied out of the rink by teams that play the "right" way. Honestly, I think the Canucks reaction is over the top, but in no way do I blame them. This is the result of 6+ years of undeservedly getting the shaft. The Nhl deserves an ugly circus right now because of how the Canucks were treated when they tried to do it with class.
  3. If the Canucks are a bunch of divers I guess bieksa's stick just dove?
  4. Yikes, if Dallas, Phoenix, and Colorado win their games in hand the Canucks would be 2 pts out of 9th. Gotta love the West considering they were 10-1-2 in December.

No we wouldn't. The only team that can pass us by winning all their games in hand is Colorado. Dallas would still be behind us, and Phoenix would be tied with us. But Colorado is probably gonna get the third spot in their division anyways so they aren't in the wildcard race with us.

Unless by 'out of 9th', you mean above 9th, as in we'd still be 8th after going 10-1-2 in December. Even then LA has now played the same number of games as us, and we're only a point back with two games against LA in the next two weeks.

  5. Any thoughts about Insignia TV's? (around 39"). Not worried about losing a little bit on picture quality, but more concerned about durability.

Yeah, the mrs and I are going to head out to Costco tonight and an LG is the leading candidate.

  7. Heh, that cheer would strike fear in the hearts of all NHL teams if ties were settled by an alpine ski-off.
  8. Having a toddler I end up watching a lot of Children's shows. I can tolerate most of them but for some reason can't stand The Backyardigans. Not sure what this means...

  9. Yeah, seemed the spam threads were distracting people from their sexual frustation. With them gone....
  10. Been on a Neubauten kick. Love this video (although a little dark). A very gothic song, lyrically poetic and probably one of the best unrequited love songs I've ever heard.
  11. Topping my iTunes playlist right now.
  12. Took over 2 hours this morning to go from Langley to the Aquarium, most of that time spent on Georgia. Has Georgia always been this bad?

don't worry when the mayor and the city council take down the viaducts it'll take just a little bit more time and confusion to get to the aquarium!!

Another drought bites the dust. So next up are 'Nucks then Cubs?
  14. I cried when Ernest couldn't save the camp

  15. Hellickson has nibbling the zone the whole game and the Jays were trying to take too big of a bite. Ah well, pobodies nerfect.
  16. Aha, someone on the Yahoo! Comments noticed the Jays starters in the series vs the Orioles will be Dickey, Wang, and Johnson....talk about a sausage-fest.
  17. I suppose you're right. The Jays play right now at least means that Lawrie doesn't have to rush back. Heh, 4 lefties in the pen. Some teams only have 1. Talk about an embarrasement of riches. When Morrow comes back it'll be interesting to see who leaves the rotation. At this point, despite his last 2 starts, I'd probably put Rogers back in the pen. Wang is just a little bit more proven and you can always bring Rogers back if Wang hits the hall. Anyways, all good problems to have. That's what winning does I guess.
  18. Definitely have to get Reyes back in the lineup. Lawrie, when he comes back, less so. Lawrie wasn't exactly ripping it up before he got injured (although was more than solid in the field). Lawrie is still young and a little bit more time in AAA wouldn't be horrible. I'd hold off on the decision until we see how Lawrie does during his rehab stint. If Lawrie is coming up then I'd have to believe Kawasaki will be going back down.
  19. Heh, no doubt. Did a quick search and noticed Thames hasn't played in the majors this year, not sure if injured or just not in the majors. Snider hasn't been doing well either. Although Lincoln has only been a mop up guy this year. Really hope the Jays can keep this up vs the AL east.
  20. He didn't have fantastic power numbers but they were better than they ever had been. Looking at HR's and 2B's at least.
