  1. Blech, Jays have struck out looking 4 times now on strikes off the plate...it's not out of the 4th inning yet
  2. I know. It'd be nice to get through a game without using too many high leverage bullpen arms. Also, I wasn't able to watch the game but did anyone mention why the heck Texas left Arihara in for as long as they did? I mean, I'm not complaining, but that's gotta be the hockey equivalent of not pulling your goalie after 8 goals in 2 periods.
  3. Could be worse, my son's fall ball team is named the Red Sox
  4. Those 2 wins are just what the doctor ordered. Dare I say the Jays are heating up at the right time?
  5. All true, but I think probably the biggest factor in him wanting to stay here is missing; that is the fact that he is the go to guy on this team. Elias may have the flash, Horvat may have the 'C' but JT, in Vancouver, is the man. He plays in all situations and quite possibly is the pulse of this team. No guarantee he gets that treatment anywhere else and he knows that.
  6. Those expanded roster call ups is a testament to a disturbing lack of depth at the AAA level. Quite surprised with both honestly. You'd think, with Kirk DHing a lot, that having another catcher in Moreno would be handier than pinch runner, 9th inning defense replacement Zimmer. And nothing against Laurence, he's fine as emergency injury replacement, but you'd think a lefty for the pen would be more valuable at this point in the season
  7. I put myself on the waiting list for this: https://openai.com/dall-e-2/ after watching: The hours of potential amusement are endless.
  8. And I'll add a: It's a GIF that just keeps on giving Seriously though, the Blue Jays definitely know how to kill the good vibes from their current streak quickly.
  9. Bases loaded, none out and nothing hit out of the infield. This seems to happen way too often to the Jays.
  10. It will be a massive choke if the Mariners don't make it.
  11. Here's more details on the new "balanced schedule": https://www.sportsnet.ca/mlb/article/mlb-teams-to-play-all-29-opponents-under-2023-balanced-sked/ I thought they were going to have the same number of games played across all the teams in the American league. Don't get me wrong, this is an improvement over what is being done currently. I was hoping for a little bit more of a reprieve from the meat grinder that is the American League East.
  12. Gotta love life in the AL East where the only way you can gain ground on a team is if you beat them yourselves.
  13. The Sportsnet panel discussed that after the game, and they figure it was a case of Cimber missing his spot (badly) that we was trying to throw it further away and missed.
  14. 4 runs off of Cole in the 5th was very nice. Hopefully they can hold on. Yankees got their contact off of White, but he was able to minimize damage over the 4 innings he pitched.
  15. Walk the 8th batter and hit the #9 batter and they both come into to score....shocker.
  16. But my wife always tells me they can't when I yell at the tv
  17. Lead off double for the Jays...only to strand him and make the pitcher only throw 10 more to get out of the inning. Sometimes I swear the Jay batters are trying to make it easy on a pitching staff.
  18. You're going to be disappointed. No team wants to take on money, even if this isn't a money dump. Miller produces like an elite player but he doesn't have that elite pedigree, for whatever reason (draft position maybe? Viewed as a winger?). Some team will be ecstatic with the player they're getting. We'll be disappointed with our 2nd round pick and B prospect.

The way some people drive they would take the sign as "If there is half a car length infront of you, get out of this lane...I will pass you on the right and squeeze in, in 3.2..too late."
  20. Watching Tampa always frustrates me. It's a constant reminder on how easily they can manufacture runs and how hard it is for the Blue Jays to.
