  1. Honestly, I don't think Jays wanted the headache that Tulo was anymore. He just didn't seem happy here. Platooning wouldn't have worked in Toronto for Tulo, he only was willing to not have the starting job once the Jays released him.
  2. Pettersson into 125th in all-time Canuck scoring with his record tying 60th point for a rookie 124. Mike Sillinger C 138 28 32 60 125. Elias Pettersson C 61 27 33 60 126. Mike Robitaille D 174 10 50 60 127. Zack Kassian RW 171 32 27 59 128. Dixon Ward LW 103 28 31 59
  3. I could easily see him getting a game in early in the preseason. In fact I hope it's in the plans. But yeah, as far as regular season goes I agree with you. IF he made it, no slight against Woo, but it probably wouldn't say much for who we'd be going into the season with on defense.
  4. Bo into 36th in all-time Canuck scoring with his pair of assists. 35. Rick Blight RW 324 96 125 221 36. Bo Horvat C 366 95 118 213 37. Bobby Schmautz RW 285 108 104 212
  5. You know you've been playing Trivia Crack for too long when someone from Spain challenges you to a match (in Spanish) and you still win. (The closest thing I have to Spanish is grade 11 French ... 21 years ago)
  6. In BC there is a new Mental Health Literacy curriculum for the grade 9 level, it's awesome. One of the truths it tries to put out there is that someone with a mental illness is not more likely to commit an act of violence but is more likely to be a victim of one.
  7. Dear Nikita Kucherov,

Thank you for single handedly keep me afloat in my hockey pool.

    Signed,

      @HerrDrFunkNabbed him 6th overall in mine :emot-parrot:B)

    4. Jaku

      Jaku

I had the 2nd pick and I wasn't going to pass on him.

  8. He's a solid forth liner. What's wrong with that? Sure they can be easily replaceable but he's here and doesn't need to be replaced. Are you bitter that the Canucks got Motte in return for Vanek compared to a 6th round draft pick? (What am I saying, no picks at any round were offered for Vanek ever).
  9. Brock Boeser rolls into 81st with his goal tonight. 80. Russ Courtnall RW 141 39 72 111 81. Brock Boeser RW 128 56 52 108 82. Sven Baertschi LW 215 57 50 107
  10. That'll work. There are a lot of different things I'd listen to if they had non-local shows airing as I just don't care about American sports radio.
  11. To be replace by...? With words like "fired" and "cuts" I'm going to presume College Football and Basketball from ESPN radio and not something local.
  12. I'll also add, somehow, Biega has the 2nd best PPG on the Canucks back end right now
  13. I was thinking the same thing. I would've been shocked if he was nabbed last October and I know the October waiver wire can be hectic, but I think some team with a clear need for a 7D grabs him this time.
  14. This past October the Canucks went with 7d and waived Biega thinking (rightfully) he would clear. Would the Canucks get away with that if they try that next October?
  15. Elias Pettersson getting to 58 points way faster than those around him puts him into 129th in all-time Canuck scoring with his assist tonight. 128. Garry Valk LW 172 24 35 59 129. Elias Pettersson C 58 26 32 58 130. Artem Chubarov C 228 25 33 58 131. Willie Mitchell D 264 10 48 58
  16. Boeser slumpin' his way into 82nd with a pair of assists tonight. 81. Sven Baertschi LW 215 57 50 107 82. Brock Boeser RW 126 54 52 106 83. Mikael Samuelsson RW 155 49 57 106
  17. Boeser into 83rd with his assist tonight 82. Mikael Samuelsson RW 155 49 57 106 83. Brock Boeser RW 125 54 50 104 84. Cam Neely RW 201 51 53 104
  18. Yeah, I've heard Balboa park is great too. We'll probably check it out at some point, especially if the geocaching is good there (and I think it is). When my wife and I were originally planning the trip it was going to be LA and San Diego so we could hit Disneyland and Legoland but with a 4 and 7 year old boys it was going to be too much of a rush (and expensive) so we figured we'd do San Diego and all it had to offer over the better part of 6 days (we're doing Sea World and one of the zoos too), then hit LA and Disneyland a few years from now.
  19. I'm going to San Diego too! For longer than a day though during Spring Break. Make sure the Grind is open if you're coming to Vancouver to do that (I believe it opened at the beginning of May last year).
  20. I guess it's  that time of year again.

The Canucks are idiots if they win because it ruins their draft position.  But if they lose they immeasurably suck because they're the worst team in the NHL over the last 4 years.

  22. BHutt closes in on GMJB in all-time Canuck scoring with his assist tonight. 112. Jim Benning D 241 15 55 70 113. Ben Hutton D 270 11 59 70 114. Pavol Demitra C 97 23 46 69
