  1. PK Subban loves to take runs at people and fall on the ice early. Certainly doesn't look good on the eye test.
  2. I think Corrado is going to be pretty special when he's 23. He made some nice strides the second half of the season.
  3. LOL, some seriously trashy defensive play in this game. Also, the Canadians game is a blend of skill and throw it in a general direction and get lucky.
  4. Zack Kassian had as many 5 on 5 points as Nichushkin while playing 160 fewer 5 on 5 minutes with FAR inferior linemates

@Newsflash, that was in fact my point.

Val has 31 even. Kass has 28 even.

  5. You really think Kesler is going to be a better mentor than the Sedins? I don't see him being good with the youngsters. I see him being terrible with them.
  6. Actually, he's exactly the kind of player you trade. He's regressed, signifcantly, but is still head and shoulders better than 90% of the players he's comparable too. He's got huge trade value because teams will take a risk hoping that he can return to 'beastmode.' Sell high while everyone still thinks the 'beast' is still in there, not after everyone in the NHL knows that it isn't.
  7. I'm looking forward to seeing how much Kassian improves from this year to next. If his play the last month was any indication, he's going to be quite productive next year.

Hope he starts getting 14+ minutes per game on a consistent basis. That's when we'll see him hit 50 and only progress faster from there.

So you guys are saying MG made the right decision trading Hodgson for Kassian

      I think so.

  8. Sad to see this season end but I'll be positive and look forward to the following things next year:

  9. Sad to see the season end. Of note, Zalewski didn't look out of place, Corrado looks to have improved bounds since his last NHL stint, and Kassian seems to have figured 'it' out. Looking forward to next year already.
  10. Scary to think they quite possibly could be Daniel's last NHL game. Him laying motionless scared the crap out of me.
  11. Gotta love how Stanton was the first one in. He definitely fits #BruinsModel.
  12. Oh man. That looked like some sort of nasty spinal injury for Danny. Yikes.
  13. And here everyone was ready to deem him a bust but 3 months ago. I'm not sure what has happen, but it's pretty obvious that he's figured 'it' out and he's really been the best Canucks the last 6 weeks.
  14. Kassian needs to use that backhand more. Also really want to see him hit 30 points after all the hate he got this year.
  15. Corrado needs some more cooking in the AHL, but I think he's going to be something pretty good.
  16. The player and puck movement on the PP. Where in the bloody frack has THAT been these last two years? It's like the Sedins have been trolling on purpose.
  17. So, just how injured were the Sedins during the horrific backslide this year? They have looked very, very good the last 7-8 games which makes me think they played a large chunk of the season pretty injured.
  18. Considering this is the first time he's been fully healthy since December 2011, I'd say yes. Keep him next year and hope you can get him the following year for around 2-2.5 million.
  19. Well, looks like the Sedins decided to open a vintage bottle tonight.
  20. Sharks in 6. Their PP will end up being the difference. The disadvantage of this new playoff format is that the first round will most likely have the best entertainment value. This San Jose/LA series would be much better suited for a WCF.
  21. Currently sipping some Buffalo Trace Mash Bill #1 White Dog. Interesting stuff. It's bottled at 125 proof and unaged and unfiltered. There's a surprising amount of flavor in there for it being such a raw whiskey. It's definitely not something I'd drink daily, but if you have a few buddies who also enjoy whiskey, it would make for a great thought experiment.
  22. Daniel finally seems to have his release back. Haven't seen that lightning quick release in almost 3 years.
