  1. I think you failed to realize that these grave sites COINCIDE with many of the survivors stories of gruesome experiences they lived through which involved killings and burials of their class mates bodies. Some of which, were made to help with these burials themselves.
  2. Not so sure about that. We have 2 top centers already signed so priority is not as cut and dry as it was before Miller was signed. Its looking more and more like Bo is chasing the big pay check ahead of anything else and less about anything " team friendly ". If we pick up a good checking center with face off ability, all of a sudden Bo is not needed as much as before, especially if we find one way cheaper.
  3. Finally! A management group who understands the importance of having toughness/ sandpaper on every line. Too bad it has taken them decades to figure this out.
  4. I think that Bo has been pushed out by Pettersson and Miller already. Being in a Cap era, there really is no room for " nice to haves". We really need a different type of third line center which Bo isn't. We have all the key pieces, we just need to fine point the rest of the roster from here on out. I believe the wingers will get get worked out by the end of the season as well . My guess that its Boeser finding a new home.
  5. Yeah not knocking Boeser either but if i have to choose, i would keep Garland over him. Not knocking Bo either it just looks like JR and co. are looking for changes and I am thinking its just a matter of three's a crowd at this point. Again, we need to set some regular lines which can gel over time.
  6. I disagree with alternating Miller and Petey i really think we meed to find what wingers are going to stick with them long term. With all the options, i think this is the year we find out who that is. Boeser is an option and if he doesn't fit with either, yes he will probably go too. Some say Garland goes but i think he is what we need and is one that will remain with the team.
  7. I think Miller fits the #1C alot more then Bo though. I also think Petey makes big strides this year , including taking a lot more face offs.
  8. The more i think about this, i really think that the team has to make moves towards lines which can grow together and build chemistry. The lines have been a mish mash for years now. I think Petey needs to work towards being the #1 C and maybe that means he plays behind Miller for now. Either way, Bo needs to go and we need to utilize him as an asset and get something useful in return. Time to move on and grow, like we should have did once the Sedins began their decline.
  9. Or maybe Bo was not going to budge on his asking price? I am sure there are plenty of teams requiring the services that Bo can provide. Its not like he is not good, its that we have two pretty good players ahead of him at the moment that are both currently signed to contracts.
  10. I think we have two 2C's or two 1C's and a 2C. Either way, Bo is a definitely not a 1C or a 3C. Make sense?
  11. If Bo is looking for 7.7? Then that very much might be the case.
  12. Maybe a few years ago. With Petey emerging as as a top Center and Miller being around a point a game player, missing a third line center is an issue but not a huge one. Trading him might fill bigger issues actually. There is no way we pay 3 Centers 7-8 million each with Petey needing a significant raise soon after.
  13. If this true, then its more of a reason that this guy is not the one to lead us to the promised land. This has been the same story line as previous leaders(Edler, Sedins, Tanev, Markstrom etc.) who have not taken a team friendly deal and went for the money or allow themselves to be traded for the betterment of the team. I see Miller has the right idea and players like Hansen and Burroughs before him. He is our third line center who wants to be paid as our #1 Center, in your dreams. I am growing tired of these winey babies anyway so don't let the door hit your @ss on the way out there Bo! Buh bye now.
  14. This is what I am hoping changes in the culture of the team. it looks like BB and JR sees this as important as well. There has been too many "nights off" and excuses being made that they are playing "back to backs" or WHY over the years. I am hoping for more accountability and see more players "riding the pine" if their play is substandard no matter who they are.
  15. Reminds me of this guy....................
  16. I agree we don't get much insight into what goes on behind closed doors but what we do see is the outcome and final product on the ice. We see from game to game and year to year, how the team performs. We see what every team member does as well. If we see big changes like the beginning of last season and then we see how near the end of the season, there was a big difference in team performance. What do you perceive as the reason for this drastic change? Yes coaching changes, but does the leadership on the team partly responsible too? Do they not have a role to play improving the teams performance? If its "just a letter on the jersey" then why put anything on their jersey then in the first place? Its like we don't want them to be responsible other then going to talk to the referees etc. As I said, I guess my expectations are too high for them, my mistake. I remember great Captains who took their responsibilities a lot differently then todays "Leaders".
  17. This makes sense, by the time the TDL rolls around, we should know who is probably going to fit and who would fall in the expendable category. With the new additions, there needs to be some time where we see where all the pieces fit, or not.
  18. I guess as a leader, I expected something like a "players only" meeting being requested or for him to go that extra mile on the ice to lead the team out of the funk. A big hit, a fight, an end to end attempt. Something that says, I am tired of losing and I want to lead us out of this. Maybe it is a bit of unrealistic expectations on my part , I guess.
  19. I agree with Ibatch with his comment" And well he was a complete no show the first half of last season. Miller wasn't. " When the team is losing , I look to see who steps up or tries to do their part in turning the ship around. I first look at leadership. Miller was the only top 9 forward who was obviously still producing when the ship was going down. I had hoped Bo would be able to influence the team into at least putting in hard fought battles, even if they did still lose. It looked like the team had given up and it didn't change until BB came into the picture. Whatever gets the wins I am interested in, if you are not a part of that, then maybe its time for change.
  20. Yeah that's why I am all for what ever is best for the team. If the vibe between them causes a positive , healthy competition, then Ok. They both bring something different so if they can work together, great.
  21. I am with you on this one. It just feels like a good time to reset and start fresh and not have one regime go into the next. Clean Slate. I really feel there is a weird vibe with Bo and Miller. They both lead and play similar roles on the team. It just doesn't feel like they are totally on the same page. Either way, what ever is best for the team, I am good with.
  22. I agree with JR regarding the "pace". I didn't see the urgency of guys fighting for jobs. Arseneau and Podz stuck out but not much from the rest. On another note, Petey looked better in the face off circle.
  23. I don't buy that "he has a family to take care of" this man is a millionaire and if he is worried about whether he is making an additional 54 million instead of 56 million then good riddance. Also, we had players previously who didn't care about the team and chased the money or wouldn't move at the trade deadline to better the team. The last players I truly respected were Burr and Hansen. So, if he moves on, it will be for his own gains and his team and team mates will obviously be secondary. Not the type of player I would want on this team if that was the case anyway.
  24. Yeah I am with you, but I think there is lots of time to figure out what line combinations are going to be effective or not. I do think we are a lot deeper then years past so it is a good problem to have.
  25. See below. They’ve been heavy on the forecheck and able to create turnovers in the offensive zone. Maybe come playoff time, you will see what we mean................................. When the bodies start flying and the opposing teams come head hunting, I am pretty sure the smaller skilled players will appreciate players like Pearson and Miller.
