Been saying this since after game 2. The 649 line is getting hemmed in, not enough big bodies. They are also all over us when Stech is on. So what do we do? Give him more ice time and stick him with Hughes. What? Rely on LE to keep them in check? Get some big bodies on the top 6 who can bang and crash. Somebody hit ROR please! Green make changes? Yeah right. His last big move was to promote LE to top 6 minutes, thanks.

I am with you I also expected more but considering how he was treated at the start of the playoffs, the relationship between him and the coach definitely has something to do with it. He has more to give and I have seen him play great and then I seen him tone it right down the next game. The one thing I do know is that Jake seems to get punished immediately on the ice and you see sometimes he is benched for most of a period. Does any other player get treated like that ? Like I said before, he treats him like his own kid or something its weird. By now, I would have like to see what Jake can do as a penalty killer, have quality PP time and see regular duties in the top 6. Its like TG has basically made sure he is going to be nothing but a bottom 6 checking forward, period. He needs a new contract and I would surely like to see if he is worth keeping or not and if we do, how much he should be paid.

I would really like to see what he can do in the playoffs. If he doesn't perform then fine, move on from him but I would hate to lose him and then he goes on to succeed because we didn't get a chance to see what he can really do. Give him instruction to skate hard, hit and create havic in front of the net and create room for Petey or Bo or whoever. If he fails, then so be it. Making him sit is fine in the minors but in the big leagues he is an asset that I would hope they would want to see if they want to invest in him or not. Give him some rope and see if he sinks or swims I say.

Gaud is inexperienced and was just learning to be a centerman in the regular season, he is not ready to have his own line in the playoffs. Maybe as a winger. Plus he is small and not very good along the boards. He's got the fight like Stech, but unfortunately that won't cut it right now we need BIG BODIES in the line up. Sorry but Lui is washed up. The only reason he is playing is because he makes 6 million dollars. Remember he was in the press box most of the time in the regular season? Good penalty killer but not a top 6 forward. Jake continues to be utilized in a position that he is not made for. How the coach can't see that Lui and Jake are playing in the wrong positions is beyond me.

Concerns I have for this game: 1) ROR - Put a big body on him please, somebody hit him for a change, and no I don't mean you LE! 2) Change up the top lines, we all know LE is not going to score and Boes is struggling and we need someone to hit ROR anyway. 3) Everyone is complaining about Jake to do something? When is the last time he started a game in a pivotal role? Sure he gets thrown with Bo now and again but that's usually for a game or two or even a period or two. He produced when given the opportunity lets see what he can do in the playoffs. Playing him as a checker 6-7 minutes a night is not going to give him an opportunity. Let him off the leash TG. 4) DO NOT give Stech more minutes then he can handle. He is a good 7th Dman do not try to make him something he is not.....Quinn Hughes. 5) Put in the effort needed to win, we have let the Blues outwork us the last couple of games. Keep the foot on the gas. 6) Somebody be a hero tonight!

Are you sure about that? The ability for the 2020 team to elevate their play with the inexperience and youthfulness is not normal. The character and composure of this team exceeds the 2011 team IMO. The 2011 almost never came out of the first round almost losing to the 8th seeded team. The only players I would say exceeded expectations were Burrows and Kesler to a degree. With the success the 2011 team had in the regular season, they should of had an easy path to the Cup final. If not for the heroics of a Burrows, they would not have made it that far. Our current Captain has already taken this team on his back and single handedly won games. Very similar to Linden in 94'. Markstrom has already made some key saves ala Mclean. Luongo? Not so much. To top it all off, we have never, ever had a dynamic player such as Hughes and he is a difference maker. Here are some fun facts: 2011 playoffs name G G A PTS + - H. Sedin 25 3 19 22 -11 D. Sedin 25 9 11 20 -9 Kesler 25 7 12 19 0 Burrows 25 9 8 17 0 Ehrhoff 23 2 10 12 -13 Edler 25 2 9 11 -4 Bieksa 25 5 5 10 6 2020 Playoffs Petterson 8 4 5 9 1 Hughes 8 1 8 9 2 Horvat 8 6 2 8 3 Miller 8 4 4 8 0 Boeser 8 2 5 7 3 Pearson 8 3 3 6 -2 Tanev 8 1 5 6 2 1994 Playoffs Bure 24 16 15 31 Linden 24 12 13 25 Courtnall 24 9 10 19 Brown 24 6 9 15 Ronning 24 5 10 15 Name SV % GAA McLean .928 2.29 94 playoffs Markstrom .927 2.42 2020 playoffs Luongo .914 2.56 2011 playoffs

Did I miss something? Are we down 3-0 right now? I think you miss judge this team just a tad. We beat a very good team already in a playoff atmosphere, and we are tied right now with the SC Champs. We are in this. We have a pretty good goalie, great Captain, veteran presence including those who won a Cup already and a young core who have elevated their play from the regular season. In other words, playing way above expectations. Have you seen a player like Hughes, EVER, in a Canuck uniform? I can tell you right now that this team has just as much of a chance to go deep then any other in this cities history. In fact, I think we do better when we are the underdogs. I seen how young Bure and Linden were when they made it to the final so I am not underestimating these guys one bit , but you go ahead and give up on your team if you like.
