  1. "Ryan Mallett, the New England Patriots third-round pick from Arkansas in the 2011 NFL Draft, is rumored to be headed down south to the Houston Texans. Tom Curran, the Patriots’ long-time beat reporter for CSNNE.com, tweeted that the trade possibility between Houston and New England is imminent. @tomecurran: A source tells me Ryan Mallett to the Texans may soon be done. 1:19 PM - 8 May 2014 @tomecurran: Second source says nothing doing at the moment on Mallett to Houston. We'll watch how it plays out. Makes sense if Clowney is No. 1. 1:33 PM - 8 May 2014 Mallett, 27, has took the field as Tom Brady’s backup as long as he’s been in the NFL. The Patriots have a history of sending Brady’s colleagues to different teams. After playing a full season in 2008 due to #12′s ACL tear, Matt Cassel and outside linebacker Mike Vrabel were traded to the Kansas City Cheifs for a the 34th pick in the 2009 NFL Draft. In 2012, Brian Hoyer was released by the Patriots and signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers before landing a starting job in Cleveland. Mallett has completed on pass for 17 yards in his career with the Pats." Sucks if true. Mallet seemed like a sure steal when he was drafted and now reportedly to be traded probably for a mid round pick. Hasn't really had a chance to play at the NFL level and odd considering BB would give up on him so quickly :/
  2. Oops, wrong thread. My bad.
  3. (Dw guys, I'll become an analyst...hey, I did break this story a month before it went viral/mainstream eh? )
  4. @HockeyCanada: .@kbieksa3 named Canada's captain for #IIHFWorlds; Jason #Chimera and @kyleturris named alternate captains. pic.twitter.com/KbQraKNPYk
  5. @TEAM1040: Bob McKenzie: "Seems to be an overriding sense that Jim Benning is the guy (for the Canucks GM job)"
  6. Not to be a jerk but there's already a 14 page thread open about this. http://forum.canucks.com/topic/358960-report-jim-benning-high-on-lindens-gm-list/
  7. @DarrenDreger: Hearing Boston's Jim Benning met with the Canucks yesterday. He's considered the frontrunner for the GM job in Van.
  8. Excellent news. Hope Linden and co don't miss out and sign Benning.
  9. Yea, that's a nightmare. Clowney already called out the Colts and told Luck to be ready with the division games. Seems he's confident he's going #1.
  10. As much as I love Manziel, no knock on him, but I'd actually take Bortles over him. Bortles has NFL size and is a lot more conservative with his plays with far less risk than compared to Johnny Football. Now I believe Manziel has the higher ceiling than Bortles and more chances of becoming a game breaker but I also see him having more of a bust chance too. He does have solid mechanic and techniques now but still think it's a gamble. Plus Bortles reminds me of Philip Rivers with his massive size and solid QB ability. Drafting someone like that is a success in my mind over a riskier pick in JohnnyT.
  11. Anyone know what time the draft will be tomorrow?
  12. Canadiens going to have to open up the cheque book big time for PK. Should've signed him long term 2 years ago. Could've had him $5ish mi. Now it'll likely be around the ballpark of $6.5-$7+ mill.

Some folks, plus 'Dreger the Turd' figure he will be the highest paid player in the League.

  14. This being the last day till the draft, just like to say something before the draft begins and ends. Being a lifelong Pats fan, if there's one thing I certainly know about Bill Belichick at the draft, it's nothing really. What do I mean you may say? In that he is unpredictable when it comes to the draft and he always seems to do something most never thought of. He seems to always go off the radar and magically getting things done and not go the mainstream route. Think he'll take player a, b or c? Come draft day, he'll end up taking player j. It's mind boggling at the time but then it hits us like always that In Bill We Trust. He really is a mastermind and you never know what he'll do come draft day. With the Pats needing some defensive help and most of the media outlets saying we'll either take one of Dee Ford, Ra'shede Hageman, or Louis Nix III with our 1st, don't be surprised if none are picked. In fact, knowing Bill's past trends, I personally want them to take one of those 3 but know it's unlikely BB will take one of them because it's just who he is. He doesn't want any team knowing his plans and he disrupts what they predict so he has the upper hand almost always. ...Will be fun to see what all teams do come tomorrow and looks like a pretty talented draft class. Also, anyone know what times the draft will begin?
  15. 4 years $57 million. I'm not too sure about this contract. How about you guys? Fair that he's the best but think it'll handcuff what the team can do with less money to spend on others.

  17. Same. Finally get to have that NFL feel again. Football is back
  18. via twitter: Kane [Patrick] has the ability to "pause" the game and wait for his preferred play to open up. Shinkaruk has that same rare gift. @H_S_9 #Canucks

Lol his opinion on Canucks prospects is worth the same as the average CDC user.

Guess so in that he has an opinion but it is more credible with all the work he does to keep up with the prospects. More than the average person that's for sure.

  19. With Montreals loss, Jim Benning is 2 losses away from having a clear schedule to meet with Trevor Linden and inevitably get the job. Heck, he's probably conducting secret coaching interviews while we speak.
  20. PKaaaayyyyy!!!!! Allez nos Glorieux !!!

  21. 30 minutes till puck drop. Do it up Montreal!!

  22. Floyd has the better record over Pacman and especially the last few fights as Pacman lost. If anything Manny has to fight Pacman and not the other way around.
  23. Sorry if I missed it but if you miss your time frame to pick, do you get BPA'd or is the next guy up allowed to pick and you pick whenever you have comeback/have time?
