  1. I don't think that's the case fully. Sure age is a factor to everyone cause everyone is technically 'aging' but can't take this one fight and assume that. His last fights he looked incredible plus his conditioning and stamina was on par as it was today. Maybe the cut factored in. First time he's had it and it must of cause some dizziness/blurriness for a bit and time to adjust to it. Think moreso it was Maidana fighting so well for the first few rounds. Never gave Floyd space to punch and pushed him to the ropes and contained him.
  2. Definitely and yea, first time really seeing Floyd like he was today. Seemed very uncomfortable at first but regained his composure near the mid rounds and from there took back the fight.
  3. Floyd won. Any boxing fan from a neutral point would tell you he did. I'm a Floyd fan but not a homer. I know there's been controversy before and stuff but this match was called correctly. Maidana won rounds: 1, 2, 4, 5, 11 Floyd won rounds: 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12 If anything, should've been a draw but no way Maidana won. Either Floyd or a draw and in this case they got it right. But then again I always say never leave it to the judges to decide just to be safe and still don't get why they have 12 rounds. Like they want draws. Make it an odd number like 13; that way there's always a winner and loser.
  4. Even a Kings-Ducks series has to cater to the eastern time zone. Maybe it's time for 2 different leagues..

The game started no where near 7pm EST

  5. Oh I didn't know that, thanks for filling me in. Odd they wouldn't pick up the option and especially since I never heard much (any) news about it. I'm guessing if they didn't it's due to financial circumstances. In that case, if they are looking elsewhere, picking a QB would make sense.
  6. Nice job on the mock, +1. Can't really criticize them and yours seems pretty accurate. Wondering if Tennessee would draft a QB with their 1st though, I thought Locker was pretty solid?
  7. Identity: 8-8.5/10 Seen it years before and somehow watched it again today. Excellent storyline, average-good acting. Great movie to watch if you like thriller/mystery/puzzle movies, will not disappoint.
  8. @coreypronman: Some players Robby Fabbi has had a higher OHL PPG as a U18 than: Hall, Ryan, Couture, Duchene, Skinner, Domi, Weiss, Nash. ...pretty interesting..

      MY BOY

Seriously though, I just can't see him lasting past 15. Too good to pass on even at his size.

  9. PK mf Subban. Lights out, game over. 3 more losses and Benning is ours!

  10. So satisfying seeing the Bruins getting destroyed. Canadiens are playing perfectly and Price is standing tall. Do it for Canada Canadiens!!

Not really tbh lol. Not a Canadiens fan but rooting for them.

  11. I think that's what it's come down to. Speculating Benning has virbally agreed with Trevor to join the Nucks but for the time being is with Boston since their season isn't quite done. Benning is probably sending orders to Trev to do in the sake and interest of time so the Canucks don't have to do everything in a crammed timespan when Benning will inevitably come here officially. Makes sense I guess.
  12. MG: It's a prawcess. TL: there are pro-cesses

  13. It's official. Torts and Mike Sullivan gone on Canucks main site.
  14. - Elliott Friedman: "I think a lot of things in Vancouver depend on Jim Benning". - Don't have the exact quote but Dreger said Jim Benning is the perceived favourite for the vacant GM job in Vancouver. - Farhan Lalji tells Scott Rintoul that Bruins do not want to let Assistant GM Jim Benning join Canucks in time to help on draft day. At this point it's clear Benning is the favourite. However, Boston is trying to do a little screw job by keeping Benning till after the draft to get the most possible return they can from him before he retires which is drafting. Will be interesting to see how things play out and if he comes here before the draft or not.
  15. Omg, Sharks...Todd Mclellan it is I guess. Wow, San Jose...they have a problem there somewhere...

  16. Yea get what you're saying, but he's also contracted himself from his remarks early today if the firing is true so you never know I guess
  17. Possibly this or maybe even owners wanted him out? Just speculating at this point.
  18. Agree. Unless you wanna just win lol. If you want exciting, Laviolette is there
  19. That is really odd considering Linden just said that today...thought GM would choose? :s Anyways, we'll see if this is indeed true and if so, hope we don't turn into Oilers 2.0 switching coaches so often. People have short memories, forget we were a top team up until December where injuries shattered us. Still think Torts deserved another shot but I guess it's business if true.
  20. Linden says will start GM process next week. Wants a GM by late May/early June. GM will also hold the power to decide which coach he wants.
  21. 3 game 7's. Doesn't get any better. Flyers > Rangers. Avs > Wild. Sharks > Kings.

I wanted Flyers. Looks like Rangers with 2.7 seconds to go.

  22. At least the Hawks won a championship before players hit free agency. Now that they won, won't be as much pressure to keep on winning. Their team will be dismantled in the next few years due to finances though which happens to most teams (they'll give good money to 4-8 good players they value highly, lowball the others and most of them will sign elsewhere). It's hard keeping everything in tact with such a good, young team but like I said, at least they won so it's not as big a problem that it could've been had they not won.
  23. Flyers toying with the Rags and AV not making in-game adjustments during the playoff game...hmmm, sound familiar?

      King Heffy

Ooops, realized what I said wasn't quite what I meant. Torts took the Rangers further than AV did. While AV had good coaching qualities, his lineup selection was atrocious, and he simply could not motivate his players or make in-game adjustments. These weaknesses combine to make him a bad coach on balance.

AV never got credit for their wins but all the blame for their losses...so do you blame every loss in these playoffs on the coaches?...
