The way I picture a team is like a car. If all pieces fit together and work, the car runs and drives. Right now it's like the Canucks are missing 1 major piece to get moving (let's say a drive shaft) and we have 6 tires. Instead of trading a tire to get a drive shaft we keep getting springs and mufflers (important pieces, but pieces we already have) instead of addressing the real problem. All this while our GM (for this example "mechanic") want to keep looking at the car to see what the problem is before making a move, even tho he has known of this problem for years.
This team now is good enough to make playoffs, but I still doubt we will be able to score in playoffs, and this is a problem that hasn't been addressed.
