  1. Disagree juolevi had a monster year and was high on many scouts / analysts lists
  2. Could you imagine Hughes-Petey-Boeser Pearson-Horvat-FA/Trade Prepared to lose lotto tomorrow though haha
  3. Weird ur quote wasn’t a quote of what I said? Was what flickyoursedin said! I’m pretty confident the highest byram would be on our board is 3/4.
  4. I am just not a fan of him at all, and his skating concerns me. This playoff performance is turning heads though..
  5. Although lots of us didn't have Juolevi ranked above Tkachuk, I personally did. I was not a tkachuk fan thought he was just a complimentary piece on a strong team with great junior line mates. I wasn't the only one with this view too. Safe to say I was wrong on Tkachuk and with ranking Juolevi over Tkachuk. In all fairness I did have Sergachev as my top dman in that draft though. Regardless I don't think taking Byram over Hughes or Kakko compares. That comparison you are making would be like Benning taking Juolevi over Matthews or Laine. As much as I like Byram, and feel he is the best d prospect I have ever watched live and in general they are harder to project they really are. And both Kakko and Hughes are going to be top 6 impact forwards guaranteed. Likely top line guys with star potential. As valuable as Byram is, I just can't see him going top 2. If he does I will admit I am wrong, maybe a team has him at 2 on their list but I would be very very surprised. Who knows though, Byram is a stud and I never thought Makar would go 4 over Glass/Pettersson/Mittlestadt.. so who knows right!
  6. No chance he takes byram over hughes or Kakko. IMO. If we took broberg over zegras/Krebs I would probably throw up. Haven’t watched him play a full game but heard enough to scare me away from him. And Zegras and Krebs could be huge pieces. Boldy id take too over broberg. All three of those forwards would fit nicely on our team. Based off our needs, draft position I won’t be surprised though either if we take soderstrom. Who like you said could very well be the BPA.
  7. Honestly I’ve flip flopped between him and cozens multiple times this year and his playoff performance thus far is flipping him Back on top. pretty sure he’ll be high on lots of teams draft lists size with hands and vision like his are a rare combo.
  8. What do you mean you keep watching krebs? Like you rewatch highlights and aren’t impressed by them?
  9. Yea I’ve only seen Byram, and I’m completely sold on him I haven’t seen soderstrom/broberg/heinola play I have just heard and read reports and watched highlights on them so hard to rank them against the highly skilled forwards I’ve seen lots of juat put out soderstrom there cause Benning did say there are a couple dmen in the first round that he likes a little while ago so we have to consider he may take one depending on how the board goes
  10. Kaliyev I’ve been a big big fan of all year. Wouldn’t be upset if we took him at 9 but I think there will be players with better all around games than his with higher chances of making the nhl. outside of Hughes and Kakko it’s hard to deny that Caufield and Kaliyev are maybe the next two most dangerous forwards in the draft. Caufields downside is his size and playing style for that size and Kaliyev downside is similar to goldobins. I honestly think Kaliyev is like Goldobin if goldy also was a deadly sniper and had higher end finish. He also needs to figure out how to be a complete player like goldobin has struggled with. Goldobin couldn’t out produce this downside. Maybe Kaliyev offensive game is just so deadly though it won’t matter as much at the next level, but he still has time and hope to develop his all round game as well. Could easily argue caufield and Kaliyev have the best releases in the draft too. - outside of the top group Caufield Kaliyev Newhook are all homerun swing picks - it would be awesome to have a second pick in the mid range to grab one of them. As id love to swing for the fences. i just think if we are picking at 9 we are going to be taking one of these four: -Zegras -Krebs -Soderstrom -Boldy or if someone like Cozens/Dach/Podkolzin falls. but it wouldn’t be a shock to see someone take a swing on one of those three forwards I said are homerun swings.
  11. If it’s to move a couple spots for byram and doesn’t cost a lot like from 9th to 6th could see that as well!
  12. Those three together in OT are something special...
  13. Might not be in our life time but I agree haha
  14. Now for Petey to get an ot winner from Boeser and Hughes haha and just out the big ! Mark on calder winner haha
  15. CALDER SECURED BOYS NO DOUBT ABOUT IT LETS GO!
  16. I’ve thought rafferty has looked a little ackward up until that shift wow he looked great paired with Hughes. What fun. I love how they rotated sides so seamlessly too like they’ve played together before, was really cool!
  17. Primary Assist - Petey Secondary Assist - the refs!? what a goal by Pearson!! Let’s gooo
  18. Agree blues are on fire and will come out hard on home ice playing for home ice in playoffs. i expect us to lose but I really hope Petey lights the lamp and it’s a close game.
  19. It’s sure looking that way. It’s a shame there were a few batches of games he looked like he had figured it out. if he had some finish this season he would have scored enough to not come out of the lineup as much or at least bought himself more rope. its a shame though organization put a lot into him and he had amazing Opportunities playing with both horvat and Petey. Shame.
  20. Alright everyone, just left the church of Petey. Lit 3 candles. hes going to the end the year with 3 Goals, 2 Assists. logging career hat trick, hitting 30 goals and 70 points. He’s been throwing / twirling sticks and pucks in the air channeling his super natural powers. hes on a cold streak and has been fighting the puck a little bit. hes going to end his cold streak and light up this calder candidate! canucks lose 6-5 Dont mind me just having VISIONS! In all seriousness I just hope he has a strong game to end the year and not go out still on a cold point streak. lets go boys!
  21. Lol imagine if Byram fell to like 8 and we picked 9!? Im wondering if we would be able to trade up say 9 to 6 to get Byram if we lose the lottery and if the draft goes like that. I don’t think it would cost that much, and trading up on the draft floor to get Byram would blow the roof off the building almost as much as picking Hughes would. Maybe not as nuts but a close second.
  22. Valid points they have lots of issues to in regards to a stadium to play in I believe as well. im sure that will al go into consideration when selecting him! It would be smart for them to trade him tho anyways.
