  1. But But its the london knights? With our Prized Bo Horvat!?
  2. I think he got Perlini 8th right, that Carter Verhaghe (Never spell it right) chemistry too good to pass up on, and he should be available. I can see Carolina taking Kapanen at 7, just dont see us taking Nylander. Unless Gradin really convinces Trev, and Naslund is consulted and supports gradins opinion/view/scoutingreport, or something like that.
  3. AHa if your gonna quote me at least get my name in there!! I think they both have 1st line potential of course, where they end up only time will tell, but I do think Ritchie has the potential to be a line leader and create offence on his own and improve his line mates, where I believe Virtanens potential is more of an elite complementary player.
  4. Thats what Gillis was saying we lost our identity, and it was his fault. We are currently without an identity.. This summer will def change that!!
  5. Yea we are crying for offence because we didnt make the playoffs, but dont forget the cries after three consecutive playoffs series losses, the CRY WAS LOUD AND CLEAR WE needed PWF and tougher grittier offensive talents. god this board has been distracting today must sign off!! LMAO damn draft talk
  6. I really think it is safe to say currently: We will take 1 of: Ekblad Reinhart Dal Colle Bennett Draisaitl If they slide to 6th And I really think Ritchie will be next on our ranking, if Burkie takes him then we get one of the top 5. I am convinced this will be our strategy. Especially since by what linden said Nylander and Ehlers will not be a part of the equation, and if we get another top ten pick I would think we take: Virtanen/Perlini/McCann/Kapanen/Fleury in that order. This I am convinced is our current draft board/strategy.
  7. It is funny our team has been crying CRYING and CRYING for a big skilled PWF a promising young PWF, and now we are going to have potentially first choice at the top 3 outside of the top 5 and everyone sounds unhappy and torn, everyones opinions are so divided on the three Ritchie/Virtanen/Perlini We are in a great position at 6, we get a chance at a fallen top 5 star, or we get first crack at the top 3 PWF of the draft,, I AM EXCITED
  8. I agree if hes on a bad streak, at least he will still make room for others and punish the other teams players physically. I dont know why people are understating his shot,, he HAS A HEAVY wrister, a quick snap shot, and a heavy slapper, his shot is a very strong asset to his overall game, calling it decent or alright is shocking to me, not saying you are saying that just adding it in, lots of posters are, and 39 goals in 61 games in OHL without a high quality C is very impressive to me.
  9. I agree with Cornel, Karlsson, Fabbri, and Fiala --> but fabbri and fiala and karlsson should be selected before our second I am a big Jack Glover fan, really like him Warren Foegele AKA McLUVIN didnt know anything about him until that TSN article, looks like a potential promising project Kase is interesting!
  10. Bennett s hurt, Dal colle had an amazing year, is bigger has a larger frame and is beasting in the playoffs, I am sure that is contributing to it.
  11. Lol wish nux would hire u as a scout! All jokes aside I am surprised u are on the nylander train, lot of guys on here do not like him!
  12. I dont meen he is like Bickell or will be like him, i am just comparing the incredible playoff run statistically you know
  13. I like him, but I see him more as a mid 3rd rounder, he has been sheltered on a very deep team, the oil kings are a very deep strong squad. He has improved drastically this year though, and I would expect him to really define his value next year when he is a team leader and takes on a larger responsibility, like cole cassels did this year with Oshawa you know, or he could disappoint.
  14. Well if a first round talent drops then them of course.. Realistic guys who could slide to our second pick are: Karlsson (doubt he would be available) Brandon Lemeuix (Possible, I would pounce on it) Eric Cornel (Ritchie Cornel combo would be decent) John Quenneville (I really really like him) Honka (if available here gotta take him) Jack Glover (Favourite US dman in draft) Jack Dougherty (second favourite US dman in draft, would like to see his skating improve though) Vladislav Kamenev (he is best russian in draft not in CHL Jayce Hawryluk (LOVE Hawryluks game, and I think Linden would too!) Alexis Vanier (Really dislike his skating/ mobility) Would not take Hunter Smith until late 3rd or 4th round, not convinced yet, he could be just pulling the equivalent of a Bryan Bickell. Open to later picks on these two: Rourke Chartier Alexis Pepin
  15. By the sounds of it linden has his highs on big boys: Ritchie/Virtanen/Perlini We should be expecting one of the three unless one of the top 5 drops
  16. The only problem is the disconnect between the sedins and our prospect pipeline, there is an unfortunate 2 year gap that could really hurt our chances of them all making an impact together. If we do not win within the next 2-3 years, the sedins will end up being mentors to our youngins with rather minimal offensive output. Although that prospect pipeline of forwards looks fantastic, even with you leaving out Gaunce and Cassels two of our better prospects. Bennett-Horvat-Virtanen Shinkaruk-Etem-Kassian Cassels-Gaunce-Jensen Lol very Canadian
  17. If we had a chance at a big upgrade, I would part ways with Corrado, only if it was a really sweet upgrade though, I am very fond of Corrado and think he is only going to get better.
  18. Lol I hate to fuel ur <3 campaign but there def is a serious chance of us taking him
  19. Never ever say never ever, always a chance drafts are crazy
  20. I agree with this, and I really see EDM taking Draisaitl He would look great on their second line, and they love throwing their prospects right into the NHL and he is one I could see doing just that: Hall-RNH-Eberle Perron-Draisaitl-Yakupov -Gagner- Would give them a heavy C in there physically diminutive F crop Florida - Ekblad Buff - Reinhart Edm - Draisaitl CGY - Dal Colle/Ritchie NYI - Dal Colle/Bennett/Ehlers/Kapanen Us - Bennett Hopefully It really is a possibility for us to get Bennett
  21. Bennett could be the one to fall, he really could be, especially with his injury you never know!! Calgary really could take Ritchie Ekblad Reinhart Draisaitl Ritchie Dal Colle Bennett Bennett is smaller and played with a much stronger supporting cast than Ritchie, plus he is hurt right now, and as everyone says YOU JUST DONT KNOW!!
  22. Lol yes yes he did, at 42 or something, he is a GOOF Bob mac had Ritchie at 6 though
