  1. lol love it! Thank you for this,, best nylander video and longest I have seen, I havent seen a lot of those plays or goals, very impressive... I think he looks unbelievable in that video.. Thank you for this hadnt seen this yet, I always like ISS much more than CSS for their euro players, very interesting they have TUCH so high Ehlers lower than most, and us taking Draisaitl god that would be an amazing day! There ranking of the PWF intrigues me most: Perlini/Tuch/Ritchie/Virtanen and so far they are the only scouting agency to show kamenev first round respect and I like that a lot. Great rankings IMO, the honka lovers and deangelo lovers are enraged though! aha
  2. Exactly how I feel, so maybe our scouts who actually are paid to watch him, will see what we do not, maybe he is BPA avaible and we just dont even know!
  3. We should all be sending positive vibes to the lotttttto, I have a crazy feeling like we will too! As long as Toronto doesnt win it though! Or my remote will fly through my tv or this.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YersIyzsOpc Nylander maybe Backstrom without the roids, or filip forsberg.
  4. I think Reinhart would be unwise, just joke I think RNH was brought up too soon Ekblad, could be, but shouldnt Draisaitl, could be, but shouldnt Ritchie, could be, but shouldnt Bennet, could be, but shouldnt, needs to grow and get strogner in order to play his game with men I agree with your post, these are all the most likley most NHL ready guys in top ten and all of them should be back in Jr next year.
  5. You were saying players who score 100 pts in q and where they were drafted, he bold anthony mantha drafted 20th, but you may not understand because ur point was 100pt players and mantha was under 90 I believe, but scored 50 goals, and he may think he did score 100+pts.
  6. He is Trollllling lol! You should make a boromir meme ! for kapanen I dont know enough about them sadly! Me too! But one cant help feel excited at the hoppppe!
  7. My stylistic (NOT POTENTIAL) comparisons: Bennett: Duchene Reinhart: Nugent-Hopkins Ekblad: Pietrangelo Draisaitl: Kopitar Dal Colle: Bobby Ryan Perlini: JVR Ritchie: Lucic (Shanahan is stylistically nice too) Virtanen: Kane (Evander) Ehlers: Bure Fleury: JayBO McCann: Bergeron Kapanen and Nylander --> Dont Know
  8. Fair enough! In November December I remember wishing we would get Perlini, funny now I'm looking at guys I want over him, crazy how our draft position changed so drastically! Went from loving guys like Scherbak and Tuch around 20 spot in dec to now looking at top 5 guys as possibilities! Maybe tomorrow we will be looking at who we take first overall!!!!! I do not see the kassian Perlini comparison tho, Perlini is doesn't crash and bang like kassian and has quite a snipe on him
  9. Aha ok true, then can you say a little more as to why you don't think nylander will be a game breaker?
  10. I am not in a position to defend or make claims on nylander haven't watched him enough. How many minutes of highlight reels have u watched on him? How many minutes of game time have u seen him play? Which league did u watch him play? Have u even watched him play 1 full game? Merci hard to make statements like that when I'm 99% sure you really have never even watched the kid play asides from 2-4 highlight vids. And most of us haven't because his games are not televised, and even his highlight reels are ery minimal, very little exposure to go off on him and write him off. He very well may be the biggest game breaker in the draft.
  11. Next to none, he is the third Safest d pick: ekblad, fleury then him. Not saying best so deAngelo and honka lovas don't unite! I see no chance of him slipping out of the first round let alone edm passing on him with their second if somehow he slipped that far. He is a late mid- late first rounder for sure, and especially since the first round d is on the lesser side.
  12. Yea if anything it boost Nicks stock for sure, and I read an article that he does talk to him and lean on him for advice and guidance when it comes to the process: LWOS: How has coming up in a hockey family, with an older brother already having gone through the OHL, and drafted by the Dallas Stars helped you going through your draft season? Ritchie: It’s helped quite a bit. Anytime you have someone to lean on for stuff like that, its pretty cool and he’s gone through the things I’m starting to go through now and its great to have him to talk to. http://lastwordonsports.com/2014/02/22/five-minutes-with-top-shelf-prospect-nick-ritchie/ You know when Calgary was picking 5th I really could have imagined them taking Nick, but at 4th I think that may be too soon. I really see Nick in this draft getting taken 5-8, if he falls past that a team will be very lucky. But you never know, his skill, shot, leadership, strength, mobility (for his size), are very rare intangibles for a player of his pedigree a GM could absolutely obsess over his game/package (Example of this is: SNYPERS undisputed divine affinity for Nikolaj Ehlers <3) GMs do obsess over players so do scouts, and once they have them ranked on their board that is where they are, it is possible for Ritchie to be on a few scouts top 5s it really is.
  13. I would do it for Darnell Nurse, Nurse and 1 of Reinhart/Bennett/Draisaitl/Dal Colle for Ekblad I would do that
  14. I don't see any similarities between beach and Ritchie? beach had attitude problems, concussion problems, played in WHL not OHL, and I remember before the draft his draft year his last concussion was from a fight where a like 150lb 15 year old kid dropped him like lights out KO in a fight,, was sad.. Only problem Ritchie had was a shoulder injury last season, looks to be behind him, and like minister said consistency but he was above a PPG on a crappy team with only Cornel being a good F on that team in my opinion, so they guys a horse and will be picked high in the draft for sure. He is more NHL ready then a lot of F in this draft too
  15. If you guys have forgotten, Hemsky has had unbelievable flashes of brilliance over his career, unbelievably skilled, and even the great one said if anyone was to break his record it would be hemsky oh lord was he wrong lol, but it shows how skilled he was when he was drafted
  16. I think you guys are mixing up what he is saying, he is comparing Ehlers now, to Hemsky of his draft year, not the Hemsky now or the hemsky who has played in the NHL ya know? And that is why he said he is wary
  17. I have to agree with each of your bullets there. Hemsky --> Ehlers comparison is actually a fantastic comparison I have to say, asides from Ehlers having a better release and shot at their draft eligible age but nonetheless a great comparison that I havent thought of, both were new/rookies to orth american hockey, similar size, skill/speed player Ritchie is being underrated for sure Nylander I just dont know enough cant judge him all i know is he has been highly touted for so long now Barbashev I am a fan of, at worst he wil be a nikolai Kulemin third liner fringe second liner Tuch has risen on the draft boards, only thing when I see him play his size is quite an advantage he really uses it, he fights off checks barges through smaller defenders drags guys he is a beast Out of all of the guys you listed Ritche is the only one with a a chance at joining an NHL club right away I would think, because he has a strong IQ and vision, he has the size, his speed is not a problem and for his size thats impressive, he has an nhl quality shot at least it appears to be.
  18. Hypothetically: We win Lotto, EDM offers us ( INSERT HERE) for 1st overall for Ekblad The deal would obviously have to include their third overall pick, but what else would it take for you to do the trade? I have Ekblad ranked first, so for me it would take quite a bit. and it would have to have Darnell Nurse coming our way. No way on earth would I want them to have a future of Nurse and Ekblad cracking in our forwards skulls while having their developed superstar F's buzzing round And I would take whatever Sam wasnt taken although Dal Colle would be very tempting.
  19. I hope someone top 5 takes Ehlers will be an explosion on here, told ya this, told ya that, hallelujah someones gonna slip to us etc Have to agree no way Calgary passes on sam reinhart if somehow he slipped Only player in top 5 I could see slipping is Leon Draisaitl and that is because of where he plays, he is german, he had an uneventful and short stint in the playoffs and Reinhart, Bennett, Ekblad, Dal Colle are just locked in for sure. Both Sams have had amazing seasons, Ekblad is 1 of 4 exceptional ohl talents: Tavares, Ekblad, McDavid and now Sean Day, pretty high pedigree players! Dal Colle is having an awesome playoffs and is most likley going to continue on rolling impressing scouts. Same as Reinhart, I could really see one of: Ehlers/Nylander/Kapanen by rising their stock through: Memorial Cup Run/U18/U18 exceptional performances,, squeezing out Draisaitl to us at 6th -- Which I would love.
  20. They all had some more meat on the bones if ya know what I meen. But strong points, Couts went 8th though you know pretty shocking was a decent top 10 in 2011. and agree combine will be great and illuminating! Thing is people cant discount the added exposure players will be receiving now from both U18 and Memorial Cup playoffs Ehlers and Dal Colle are getting extra extra attention now as they are still playing, both could go all the way, added eyes/exposure could bump them in draft rankings. Hunter Smith is getting noticed now and his draft stock is rising from the playoffs, same with Lemeuix is stock has risen a bit now since the start of the playoffs. Same goes to U18 participants who are first round draft bound: Canada Perlini,Virtanen, Fleury, Mcann Also McKeown, Bleackley but they are later first rounders Sweden Kempe - Nylander - A.Karlsson That is their top line.. Finland Kapanen USA TUCH,Larkin, Milano Glover, Dougherty --> most likley early 2nd round guys All these guys could really drive their stock up before the draft, hoping Dal Colle doesnt drive his up too much... as him at 6th would make me a happy guy! All we need is Florida, Calgary or NYI to take one of Ehlers/Kapanen/Nylander and we will be guaranteed 1 of Draisaitl or MDC
  21. ROW they finished with 3 more wins in regulation then us!
