Those are some overwhelming stats Anything can happen is going to be a great game Only thing I want is Chris Kunitz TOI to finally be < 5Mins and Martys to be >5 min
-
Kinda sad both Canucks Hamuis (Just a great guy ) and Lui (Gold) rode the bench together with St Louis (Art Ross) and PK (Norris), while chris Kunitz (A crosby Leach that has brainwashed hockey canada ) has the second highest TOI for forwards..

We are gonna take Jake Virtanen or Branden Perlini for sure if we pick 9th. I would only be ok taking Ehlers if we were picking 12 or higher. As for Brayden Point or Spencer Watson, our second pick surely does not belong to either of these players lol And as for Fasching, I liked him as well going into the draft, I also lied JC Lipon, but Cole Cassels >> was a better pick then both Fasching is a longterm project power forward, one day he might be great, but he will have a very patient development and he has a very high risk of being nothing in the nhl level Cole Cassels has the support , the bloodline and the drive, and clearly the talent as he has elevated his game this year. He also looked great in the summer at our camp. Cole Cassels was a fantastic 3rd round pick and its weird you think he wasnt. Our team needs skilled wingers with size. Virtanen and Perlini are both excellent skaters, both with NHL caliber shots, and both have size and can play a physical game. They would not only be the BPA but would also fill an organizational need.

R3aL replied to goalie13's topic in Off-Topic General
Tavares-Crosby-St.Louis Duchene/Marleau/Carter-Getzlaf-Perry Sharp/Carter-Toews-Nash Marleau-Benn-Bergeron Scratched Kunitz Marleau, Sharp, Duchene, St. Louis and Carter to be bounced around the lineup as the flow of the game progresses I think the 4 duos should be though: Tavares-Crosby Getzlaf-Perry Benn-Bergeron Toews-Nash But anyone really -

Yea def. I am just happy lui played one game and that game he was perfect, its their mistake, he should have started today, if he didnt play solid and we didnt win, or we won and he didnt look solid then sure roll with price just like lui took the job from brodeur, thats how it should be.. It was def decided before hand I agree -

I know this sounds terrible, but I was kinda hoping we lost in OT, then maybe lui woulda been in net, and then our team would get another game to work out the lines, I think USA and Russia would have beat us if we played past cple games -

I cant believe Kunitz has started each game, its unbelievable he has stood out as the odd man out, cant believe st louis or sharp past two game shas rode the pine for him... And Giroux, Thornton, Staal, Hall, Seguin, Neal arent even selected to the team over Kunitz driving me crazy, even mike richards deserves a spot on the team over him by a landslide Just gross hockey politics -
Man your valuing Kesler so wrongly its terrible. Take a step back past numbers, Kesler is one of our top 3 players. He plays 20+ minutes a game, he dominates the face off dot, he goes hard every shift, he anchors our second line, and pushed our PP to its highest heights in 2011. He has beasted for us in playoff series showing he can elevate his game. He forechecks, back checks, shuts down top lines and has won a Selke award. And you are telling me he is worth a low 1st round pick, a small offensive prospect who hasnt proven a thing yet in the NHL, and a goalie prospect.. To a powerhouse in our conference? Would you say Bergeron would be traded for more or less than Kesler? He has scored only 70 pts once in his career? Same draft year as Kes too? Would St Louis trade backes for a similar package to that? He has never scored over 62 pts? I am just baffffffled by this trade offer, if Gillis made this I would give up on the canucks for a cple years, it would be god awful
-
I am really hoping Horvat goes with Gaunce to train with gary roberts in the summer, that would be great
-
Why would we trade KEsler for a good prospect, a very low first rounder and a goalie.... Thats terrible, especially to one of the strongest teams in the West.. I wouldnt trade Kesler for anything less then a roster player, a top pick in a draft or a recent former top pick as in top 10 minimum, and a 1st rounder MINIMUM, and I dont even want to trade him, we just need to fill out our top 6
-
Was this game today? That second goal was dirty, puck just flew off his stick, looked like he barely even snapped it too, tough for a goalie to stop... Hopefully he will become our future captain, still shocked he isnt the captain of the knights.. Hope he proves us valeri lovers wrong!
-
Im not gonna say Horvat was a bad pick cause he wasnt, and like ive posted everywhere I thought we traded for Valeri, I thought he should have been top 5, I went from jumping for joy to calling for gillis's head, at the end of the day I can live with his choice and I understand why he did it. But Valeri could have looked great in a nux uni no doubt beside the sedins.
-
Ahhh, we should all send him msgs via social media, schooool is for fooools, make the pro jump to Utica! finish your degree part time at other schools heh heh Most likley he will play 4 years, most uni kids do thooo
-
Whats the deal with maine now, can he play in the AHL after next year since his first draft eligible year he was passed on? or do we have to wait until he finishes his 4th yr of uni to come pro any one know?
-
Yea I agree, although I am unsure what holland values more: Tatar and Jurco who they have invested time into thei rdevelopment are further a long and have a more confident idea of what impact they will bring to the club Or Mantha, higher ceiling, less time invested in development and unaware how long until he will be or if he will even be an impact player at the NHL level Tatar has already spent 4 full seasons in the AHL, Jurco a year and a half, and has taken a large jump in his development Hard to say how detroit (Holland) values these three and who highest? We (CDC) clearly by visual consensus have ranked them: Mantha>Tatar>Jurco>2014 1st
-
Mantha barley made the team over an Injured hunter.. Important word INJURED And there is just no way gillis makes a trade for the mule and sends edler to Detroit without young players and picks coming our way, he wouldn't be that stupid, aquilini would fire him instantly we would prolly metaforically riot on these boards, and I'm sure the media would crucify him
-
He has had some consistent minor injury problems, but the 2 concussions or same recovering concussion this year is a worry, is age and contract length are also a worry. I would only make this trade if Mantha was coming our way, or Tatar. A healthy franzen would be very dangerous with the sedins. But like we all agree that ship as sort of sailed as franzen is getting older and hes still not recovered from his last concussion. I think there would be better deals possible for edler, But Mantha Franzen I would do the deal
-
I actually met Thrower the day after this, apparently the whole team just hates Hunter and everyone wanted to smack him round, he must be annoying to play against lol
-
Wish we drafted some of these kids,, only one we draft is K Conn and we give him away. Its a shame, I am sure a lot of these kids have dreamt of playing for the nux and staying in the city
-
Lol u guys are crazy, the whole team is having a bad year, and yea both sedins have slumped since jan 1st but hanks been injured and who knows whats happening with dan, whole teams been sucking as a whole though
