Ya he’s over committing big time. but in All fairness the amount of cross passing going through is ridiculous have him moving side to side like crazy. -
[Signing] Canucks re-sign Andrei Kuzmenko
R3aL replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
He’s learning a new system and the coach is going to hold every single player accountable during the transition as he does teach them how the wants everyone to play his style. he needs full buy in and execution to sell what’s needed for winning nhl hockey and team identity kuzmenko goal is to improve and become the best player he can be. I doubt very much he’s embarrassed -

The communication has been consistent from management and his plan. They want to teach him somethings to maximize his potential. be happy he’s learning right now and will be even better next season for it -
(Rumour) 4 teams interested in J.T. Miller

I neeeeed boninooooo -
Yes I think we would ruin a lot of them by doing that. 2 of Buffalos guys were 1st overalls so tough to do that comparison. And their entries were staggered by quite a bit. it’s not just the AHL time but the way they are deployed at the nhl when breaking in and having the right dmen for the right situations / special teams is really important. overhauling a defensive unit is pretty challenging NJD have such an optimistic outlook for their D unit now and it’s future I’m pretty jealous

i think this is the only time to trade miller for a return that helps our future and frees up the cap and also frees us of the Bo vs JT long term narrative we will have going on and on. it’s just brutal seeing Chytil kill it and all the assets we could have had last year from the proposed deal with the rangers. im not sure about those exact deals but I do think Boeser is as good as gone, and JT could very we be. I still remember the JR quote saying we made have to trade guys we weren’t originally planning too. And I thought there he was talking about JT and Demko. but we will see. i think so especially with teams acquiring meier soon, Tarasenko going to the rangers etc I’d be pretty happy with Columbus 2nd round pick( which is basically a late first) and Ceulemons Kotkaniemi I’m very unsure on. Kinda strange if no team wants him. Or he could just have a Nick bonino like career -
NHL isn’t a developmental league. Livingstone won’t be NHL ready next season most likely. Let alone to play top pairing minutes. At least I think that’s a big jump. Same with Filip. both will need AHL time 1-2 years minimum I think. Major development happens before breaking into the NHL and then we have to have a path and structure in the NHL to make sure they are set up for success. i don’t know any defence in the league that’s had 5 / 6 spots filled with rookies and sophmores and been successful short or long term. I love the optimism though and hope we sign Livingstone and hope most of those kids hid their max potential and become players!

talking what’s JT millers trade value right now? i think his contract could be looked at positively in some markets. example Columbus. A place where it’s hard to attract or lock in top tier guys. I think JT would be better in a market like that rather than Canucks pressure cooker. but I think he should be viewed as a rental this year by a team that would be interested in signing a UFA like him in the summer. if JT was a UFA this summer he probably would get an offer close to what he’s extended for. I believe we could retain salary on the remainder of this year, trade him and then the team acquiring him could treat his new contract as if they were signing a UFA and have all summer to make shifts for salary reasons. i think Fiala trade value of a 1st, a prospect with salary retention like we did with Bo would be fair value. -
(Speculation) Conor Garland buyout this Summer?
R3aL replied to Makaramel MacKhiato's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Just gonna say garland-Miller-podkolzin together looked pretty good. if garland builds on that or stays restively consistent and keeps taking pucks through neutral zone with speed he shouldn’t be hard to trade
