Just look at Brisbios. if we had chucked him back as a failed pick he would have played somewhere else this year in the NHL. an all to familiar fate for our prospects. by signing Woo, we keep a RHD that can skate and lay the body. Not exactly a surplus type of player in the NHL and exactly how many do we have? After Luke Schenn, maybe Burroughs has the open ice hitting ability, but the only other guy we have that can play a similar style at all is Filip Johannsen. in Sweden right now.

Personally I think Raty is the best option. His price point is beauty. He has the frame, reach and tenacity without the puck. He could really use time playing on the big club with Ep40. I think Raty will be modelling his game after Elias’s. So if he can add a bit of muscle and be disciplined in his face off preparation in the off season, his skills, skating and awareness are NHL level. with Studs and Aman already hear, and with a journey man like a Dries always somehow available to slide into the 9th spot in rosters all over. Not breaking the bank until next year is a good idea. so if not an internal promotion to the 3rd line, don’t over invest and sign a long term contract for one at FA this year. Get a depth option to insulate the growth of a quality prospect like Raty. who was a second round pick that looks like a win. so pretty good value return for the second we lost with Horvat. Really needs to lose a winger or teach Brock or Garland how to take draws. cause that 10 million plus in cap. one is a great idea. Two are a luxury we cannot afford and a bit of a white elephant. last night was a real JB slap in the face. Looks like panic will set in in 4,3,2….. But now what does the tank team do? Our odds look increased to get a better selection. And we have traded a Center for a RHD and did not improve on the season, at the same time for that reason. Really tram tank, blame Anthony B. He has scored the most points of any traded player at the TDL this year, But not Hronek. Lol. so split decision as the Horvat deal has given the club actual assets back that are contributing to our on ice product, team tank and the prospects pool all at the same time. Dammit Jim! I don’t know what to complain about! Be happy that we can see some fire wagon hockey, a ton of time for the young players to show what they can and cannot do. Hronek doesn’t need to prove his game to Alvin or Tochet. he needs to get healthy, Demko needs to stay healthy and our prospects need exposure. They have a playoffs to get ready for. Also, Myers. Wow. He needs to let Brisbios lead the play without the puck. they were not reading each other very well and by the eye test, and what looked to be Myers panicking, not knowing where Brisbios was going and or Brisbios didn’t know which player Myers was staying with. Myers looked to be staying with the puck carrying attacker, man vs man, Vs Zone. so when Brisbios went man Vs man, Myers went back to zone. they both ended up on the same side and player. communication break down between new D partners always looks terrible.

I haven’t watched the whole game. but in the highlights I saw Demko lunge to stop a puck and jams his skate up against the post. it looked off, and he laced on the ice face down. with his blocker hand reaching to his thigh and hip. He ended OT in the same posture. I think it looked like he tweaked his groin and or hip. Did anyone else notice this?

Luke was a slow developer, was subject to over blown expectations by fans and media and driven out of TO with derision back in the day. people expect 5th OA players to produce…. so he was mis cast and then type cast as a sub par pick at that spot. Woo was drafted with the expectation to be a shut down physical Defender first type player who can make massive clean open ice hits, and produced offence at lower levels of play. the physical play likely increases his potential for injuries. and the Covid shortened seasons. i personally want Woo to spend a lot of time with Adam Foote. The player to teach Woo how to be effective as a more defensive minded RHD to a very gifted LHD and not lose games to injury while playing physical and making clean hits in the open ice. Yup. Please.

Not next year, but he could be in NA the year after. that’s optimistic and I would think draft plus 3 is a very realistic time line for him to take a roster spot should he pan out and be our selection. so like other top picks, playing either AHL or NHL minutes after his draft plus two contract is up. he could be a Chris Tanev like in ability to adjust to playing versus men. Tanev was parachuted into a SCF run. Move out Myers Cap hit, sure. but we would need to bring back Schenn at least, plus Bear, Juulsen and … Woo… too. Burroughs is a question, not resigned yet. so even a skinny new guy could crack the Nucks RHD if they can skate and not lose their shit every time the puck comes in their general direction, while staying healthy.

Juulsen is not the Top pairing guy to start next season if we arc improving. Or a Second Pairing first choice unless a winger cannot be unloaded, and we miss on the Big RHD in the draft… in the Swiss League. All for trading Myers, but keep Bear for depth if your running Juulsen on the top Pair. it’s the floor, and I think we can unload some cap and that even with Hronek the RHD top pairings were of the highest priority. Alvin and Ruthford are clearly acting in that mindset.

So Joni Jurmo has become the new McDounagh (sp?) Now that we have the college FA’s and or pending FA ‘s dealt with, it’s either a bit of over expressed anxiety about whether he signs or not. Why would we not sign this guy and why would a Finnish guy not want to come Vancouver. Its like the Bahamas to Jurmo.. just sign him before heading to Florida… he might not realize until it’s too late… lol It’s not like the Club has a rock solid D corps.

For those that don’t know, Anthony has been the most productive post TDL player this year with 17 points. And anyone else watch Raty play at center? he looks like a bit like EP40 and is very tenacious without the puck. he should be on the rise and with the need for a 3 line C. He could be a cheap option or back solution. provided that Alvin and Rutherford keep up their pro scouting we could stop seeing more cost controlled depth springing up from the farm, as te supposed to happen.

Also, saw clips of Filip one handed blocking attacking forwards with and without the puck, and often rubbing them out the play into the boards, or using his reach and stick to effectively one hand reach to disrupt the puck carrier. He reminded me in style without the puck as Willie Mitchell in his prime. or Matty Ohlund. Uber Strong on his skates. if he can translate this skill to a smaller ice surface, his one vs one skills and defensive awareness with his obvious strength, while back skating vs attacking forwards on larger ice surfaces, then we are in for a treat. his play looks easily able to make up for what we hoped Trymakin would be and if he gets time with a Luke Schenn (if he resigns…) or Myers, plus Adam Foote, his examples for large body defenders to learn from is really impressive. Alvin is right to be excited about this guy and he should be less expensive than Livingstone. and he is already a club asset.

Last year both OEL and Myers put in a yeomans season, with Demko in net. with no improvement to the D corps over the off season, JT Miller being the priority and Ethan Bear and Luke Schenn are depth players, not more than fingers in the dam. the dam being Demko…. oh shit… changing metaphors… but the trade for Hronek has done as much good for this club as in verse to losing Tanev, in terms of quality defence. Hronek looks superb on Defence. smooth and a far better passer and shooter. and is a RHD Defender that plays either side. who can play top pairing minutes. a straight up trade for Horvat was a fair deal for Hronek, based on his prior numbers and the eye test. But there is Demko. so why do we buy out the now insulated OEL, who is now the 3 guy vs the 2 guy? Wasn’t that the problem for Elder for 5 years? Isn’t the current problem with Myers, is he is really a okay 4th guy, second pairing RHD? Which Schenn and Bear can give Myers a run for the money, and make way less? And isn’t Myers also in a bonus situation that is meant to make Myers very trade-able as a cheap 4-5 RHD to any cap rich, but cash poor franchise in the NHL… making Myers easily a unloadable contract by design? OEL was injured. And had no Demko in net. or Rick Tochet. Last year he played every game or nearly and out up decent numbers. If the cap space can be better used, and that’s the need, how about we trade the second pairing D Man that has a contract and cap space being shipped out, without any cap penalties first. before we get further into the cap trouble that we all have been bitching about for the last three years? just a thought. With JT Miller back at Center, his production and line driving and defensive play has been like his play of last year. we played Petey, Miller and Horvat all at center last year for good chunks. JT got paid for that reason. This year Bruce switched it back to JT Miller at LW and Bo and Petey at center with cannon fodder beneath that. Horvat has been great, but he was never a line driver as much as a finisher. So is why Alvin and Ruthford did not pick Bo over JT? Is JT’s entire game better because his minutes are higher and he is playing in the Center of the Ice, where he can pass or shoot with equal measure. JT’s wingers do better than Bo’s did. JT has decent face off numbers. whatever is the reason for the dramatic difference between JT pre Bo and JT post Bo, I think simply that JT was frustrated that he was bumped from Center Ice, when he is a better Center than Bo. or so it could be argued. it looks that way in the sample sizes from last season and this season when JT is at Center vs LW. Thoughts? Was Bo a Kessler like player that just didn’t have the same overall vision of JT in play making, which also can translate into takeaways vs giveaways etc…? Petey is in Selke talk. The Short Handed Goals have been up significantly since the trade. This is also because the team seems to love RT and his fantastic approach. Seriously, I can understand why Alvin and Rutherford wanted RT for so long and were critical of the lack of structure in Bruce’s approach. If they were not going to resign Bo which they weren’t and their offer was not serious. Or they gave what they thought his max value was as a statement to the club and coach. But if they had targeted Hronek even in Pits, and Stevie Y called them first, and only them. Could the pre buying price of Hronek already been determined prior to the Bo trade to Long Island? Brock is a legit 20g man with some better playmaking and his tough love in Vancouver is forcing him to work harder. plenty of places he could easily recover his production and give any second line a shooter and or play maker, and or PP guy. he is just not a line driver. Haven’t been around for a while. laid up at home on Buscapan to help with long term muscle spasms in my abdomen that have put my into Acute Pancretitis and the hospital a few times. thought I was possibly dying because my abdo pain was for months and the local hospital refused to even consider my physical state, or symptoms, called me ‘psycho somatic’ because they did not want to relate my injures suffered I at the hands of the Local RCMP and my Employer EHS NS (I have an active human rights complaint that the NS Human Rights Commission won’t even respond to against my employer) the ambulance service, injured my pelvis when they body slammed me without cause or provocation within 60-90 seconds of me coming to the door in sock feet pants and tee shirt. This was on 2022-.09.15 then after two RCMP officers slam me onto my right hip, I am lying at their feet, and the shorter one, says, ‘Don’t Flee! Tazer! Tazer! Tazer!’ And shoots my in my left hip with one barb as I dodged him aiming the Tazer directly at my groin. After tazing I rolled over and was completely compliant and they cuffed me without locking the cuffs twice, cutting off my circulation to both hands for 4-5 fours while I was bound behind my back after I had my right SI joint ‘Un Fused’ as I had been diagnosed with Fused SI joints in 2020, and a curved spine, from right to left and ribs dislocated on the right, I felt my left arm pop out of its socket and back in and from that point on, I have become barely able to walk and or work at all. the local RCMP in Antigonish NS got caught by me, fudging paperwork that my ex and my exes supper connected attorney have been using against me for two years. Last year they arrested my girlfriend who has suffered a brutal home invasion and sexual assault 5 weeks prior, for drinking in her car, she relapsed into Acohol after the assault, she is a Mental Health RN. then in cells after a male officer strip searched her by himself, then when she thought she was being released, he struck her 28 times. I have the images and after I got him suspended, the cops came for me. that’s why I got beaten up on 2022-09-15. They also locked me in the local Prison in Solitary for 72 hours, for walking on my shared property with my ex that we are selling after my ex lawyer said there was no court order against it. no person was home. I was on the property for 3 minutes and left. Touched nothing, did not even approach the home. 15 minutes later, I got beat down. I had no reason to avoid the cameras so I did not. It has gotten so bad that I have got the Husband of the Family Court Justice, the Chief Crown Prosecutor and his Jr Crown Prosecution all failing to adhere to his wife, the Justices issued court orders, with the RCMP to allow me to charged 25 times criminally to what was only a non criminal court order breach and subject to a fine only. a Facebook message to my ex after our split as a self litigator when seeking to get her and legal counsel to a private mediation. no threats or crimes committed. after the first charge, every subsequent charge and or order was solely issued through an abuse of the. ‘victim service’ support by her local friends and family that live all around me as I am holed up in a home with my parents who moved out from BC to be with their grand daughter. shit show. the Justice had to recuse and the local Crown has tried everything it could too. I was an advanced Care paramedic when this started. Now I live in NS and am so injured I am on social assistance, when I should be working and having a side gig of building houses while being an awesome dad to a fantastic smart beautiful daughter. but I did not grown up here and will never be a local. My medical condition and or complaint is entirely physical, and caused by ‘injury’ as inside muscle layer was being pulled not the outside. With no bones to stop it from slowly squeezing me till something ruptured and or strangulated. My Pancreas is very irate. And it has been the first to say, ‘f**k, this I am not going without a fight!’ And it started dumping Lipase, but held back from the Amalayse(?) and it’s acute. Caused by ‘Injury, and the muscle constricting the Pancreas.’ That’s my understanding and I am still feeling ‘loopy’ It’s not from any medication and or other substance. Whatever the effect of the muscle spasms that are in my inner, not outer layers of muscle are unlike any other muscle spasms I have ever experienced. I could be considered an expert on what a muscle spasm feels like, I lived with one due to Ankylosing Spondylitis for years. I go from extreme pain, to shaking un controllably, but I can still type when I am shaking, So it’s effecting my legs and hands is some sort of rhythm. The GO ordered Physio in November and further labs, and I got labs, no Physio, when I first reported deep tissue muscle spasms that weren’t ‘normal and had led to two separate visits to the ER, both led to CT’s and then very quick exits with either a medical error, when I was given ‘steroids’ and told by a ERP, that had not examined me at all, ‘You should be familiar with taking these… the Aberdeen has nothing for you further.” and kicked me out. A few days later, I had a shower and took the first ‘Steroid’ I was given by the and suddenly I lost all sensation on my entire right side. When discharged by Dr Jurga, he said, ‘you have a curved spine, Adam.’ Which was an entirely new finding. ‘Can I get a referral to physio?’ ‘No Adam, there is nothing medically wrong with you, you need to consider psychological counseling.’ And refused to give my an understandable explanation while saying I was in need of psych instead of physio. When I was just brutalized by the RCMP, mocked by EHS, almost was tricked outside by one RN and three RCMP, without X Rays and or being seen by a ERP. All on video that I sought to have St Martha’s and the RCMP preserve at evidence of torture. Because they did not want any evidence of what EHS and St Martha’s did to me on 2020-02-11. I have an eidetic memory and muscle and memory can piece together where the complete and incomplete and absent memories are, and the ones you can’t remember and or fear… Those are the ones that will either haunt you for ever, or you will turn and face, and at least turn the lights on and seek one single question. Why don’t I remember things at all about the most traumatic event in my life to that point? When I was in peak physical health from the amazing success of the therapy prescribed by my Rheumatologist, Dr Trudy Taylor. I saw her on 2022-08-08. I was completely clear of Ankylosing. Then I had some weird spasms in my neck and hands and when to the ER on 2022-09-10 and was prescribed muscle relaxants and no imaging. Then I was beaten up and left bound in a unnatural position, with my shoulders, arms and hands, with prolonged circulation impairment to my hands for over 4 hours. And was charged with assault and uttering threats, without a single strike and or spit or threat. And I was tazed for fleeing when I was already prone on the ground. Which has led to my body being not normal and I can only hope to get a appointment with physio and a rapid MRI, if anything to prove injury and allow for a full second opinion to the cause and time of injury. I have been subject to X-Rays, CT’s, and MRI’s for far less clear reasons and need for a review by Medical Doctors and or Pathologists, to determine if something is going to kill me, when say a large vessel, that was maybe kinked, let’s go a massive clot. I was raised on MacDonalds! My step dad, love him to death and he is a McCannel. The McCannel family name was given to the family by the Head of the MacDonald Clan, prior to the break up of the Clan into Clan Ranald and Clan MacDonald. The family name is translated as the ‘Son of the Torch and or Torchbearer’ And the official role in all official clan ceremonies was for the head of the McCannel family to light the way with a raised torch before the Laird of Clan MacDonald. So we supported the MacDonald’s way more than is advised by any doctor. And I have an uncle that survived Pancreatic Ca, and my Grandfather and Mother both almost died and or had emergency Cholestectomies (Gallbladder Surgery) due to either an ongoing risk to life or high risk of. My mom is a teetotaler. I don’t drink, haven’t in over five years except on less than 5 occasions. This cannot be due to any cancer, I have been assured by every doctor. Yet I have had a persistent low white blood count. And feel like I have had impacted lymph ducts for months and reported this at the ER when I was taken their by EHS, with witnessed spasms so bad they would periodically close off my airways. By RN’s, ERP’s EHS, Sherifs and Corrections staff. Reported to Prison Medical and only the ERP’s denying any explanation(s) and or changing the orders of other medical professionals. My MRI was supposed to be 12 days ago. Corrections Medical assured me that it was going to be honoured. And this was by Dr Menard herself, with Officer Curley, her real name, RN Rebecca and the RN Nurse Manager. My mother confirmed that my MRI was booked for 2023-02-15. Then no one got me for the appointment and I asked after it was clear the appointment time was missed, ‘to just make sure to rebook the appointment, because my mom may have accidentally told me the date on the phone.’ A call recorded by my employer Medavie Blue Cross. But Prison Medical decided to not rebook, and Corrections choose not to take me. Not OK and each day inside I knew, I was one punch to my liver or Lower Right Rib cage away from collapse. So did prison medical. Which means so could to the Captains and or select guards. Let alone any inmate that has the ‘green light’ to take me out, or wants to see if I can fight, just to be tough. I made a good choice to work out how to pick my cell mate. It saved my life. I think I may have helped him. Not safe his life, but get him on his feet again. He was in the worst withdrawal from the most massive abuse of methadone I have ever heard described, 155 lbs and in agony. So I got his cell mate ‘bounced’ without doing anything but cleaning the cell, when I moved into the bottom bunk, after having a medical emergency, that was entirely legit and real. When I left, my cellie had put on 14 lbs and was getting stronger everyday. He and I watched each other’s backs. He has a black belt in Karate and kicked the physical withdrawal within two weeks of his arrest, but he needed more time to get out the why. Now he has no fear, no one to fear and called me yesterday with ten pounds of solid weight on in about a week. Sounding great. Me. Doing my best to massage and physio myself and take the toradol every 8 hours. And not have to fear each pain in my chest, or shortness of breath that the irritation to my diaphragm and or spasms that go on for minutes. I feel loopy at times, and loose coordination and coordinating speech. I have to get help with medication. Can’t keep track all that well. No signs of infarction in my gut, or that any organ has shut down. No signs of infection and recommend that I get follow up, which is in two days, and physio, and MRI, ‘which may or may not confirm’ my condition. Also, did you know muscles are 5 layers deep. think the WWF mind set has crept into the current fiasco that is this years implosion in the wake of Demko’s injury, as he was the driving factor that made all else possible. exposing the weakness that management left in place, knowing Demko was not 100% and Hughes and Myers both started the season injured, from the push last year too. Kesler was the same way when he sulked his way out of here. I guess it’s a habit that some guys from Ohio think is okay? they hate losing and cannot accept their own actions as part of losing. Kesler would rather die than left a player beat him 1 vs 1, but that is why he retired so broken physically. No million dollar athletes, especially ones that just signed mega deals need to sulk and act like spoiled children on the field of play.
