    Teemu Selanne: 76 goal rookie season

     

    Paul Coffey:  48 goals in a season by a defenceman

     

    Wayne Gretzky:  50 goals in 39 games

     

    Wayne Gretzky: 92 goals in 80 games

     

    Bobby Orr: 139 point season for a defenceman

      don't think any are realistically possible. most likely to least likely in order-

       

      1. 48 goals by defenseman.

      2. 76 goal rookie season.

      3. 50 goals in 39 games

      4. 92 goal season.

       

       

      50 goals in 50 games would be fine too

      I really can't see any of them being broken. I still shake my head at Selanne's rookie season. Not only did he score 76 (16 more than our team record). He did so as a European coming over dealing with a new language and culture.
