[Rumour] J.T. Miller Trade/Contract Talks
Warhippy replied to Podzilla's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Lol Miller's Agent and the Bartlett Group Miller played himself out of a trade but GD he priced himself out of staying too -
Ya I know he's older than Pettersson but I'm loving this kids jam right now. it's an impressive record to hold and his ppg even for his age is kind of awesome for the Swedish leagues

Yup, she's all done and good now. She knows that the mandates are ending in 3 weeks but still went for her 2nd. So whatever will be will be at this point. If the unvaccinated get it, they get it, if they die they die. Nothing has ever been more preventable through minimal action and if the suggested inevitable happens we'll shed no tears
-
So be it. All reports indicate it is running wild in the unvaccinated and I for one applaud their desire to continue to be the litmus test of the world. MY family is now fully vaccinated and will get a booster and we will not shed many tears any more for those who refuse, who lie and who outright fight against doing the barest of minimums to protect themselves or their neighbours.

[Rumour] Canucks and Laffs (Liljegren)
Warhippy replied to AngryElf's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Should trade Miller for a 3rd and a prospect then. Hughes for a 5th Garland is VASTLY more valuable than Liljegren and to suggest moving him simply for cap space is ridiculous -
[Rumour] Canucks interested in Brandon Scanlin

All I can think of when I hear the name Scanlin is Scanlan Shorthand from the Legend of Vox Machina -

If even Dangle doesn't like him, why is he worth garland? -
[Rumour] Canucks and Laffs (Liljegren)
Warhippy replied to AngryElf's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I'd be far mroe ok with Liljegren over Marino, but if Foote is available that's the route I take all day long. Just don't see how this really gets done though and I sure don't want to lose Garland or Boeser for Liljegren and a later pick -

LIljegren is mediocre at best. If we're targeting a swedish defenseman...I kinda like that Dahlin kid in Buffalo -

Easily understood. Thanks for the heads up. Now what about a move back towards the gold standard? -

The BRICS nations have been bandying this for a while. Having a major OPEC player on board outside of Russia would really put the screws to the world economy. -
I dunno. Sakic walked in to a team with MacKinnon, Landeskog, Duchene, O'Reilly and Barrie. Plus he had the luck of that Byram win, a few other solid trades. Nailed the kadri situation and had makar fall in to his lap. When he took over he had an absolute wealth of players. Having a few former incredibly highly drafted defensemen doesn't hurt either. I'd say he is/was along the same lucky as Yzerman was in Tampa.

[Rumour] J.T. Miller Trade/Contract Talks

I am suggesting everyone who really only has one or two breakout seasons be taken with a grain of salt. For every Panarin there are a dozen Jason Blake's, Cheechoos etc -
[Rumour] Canucks getting calls on Conor Garland
Warhippy replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Alex Burrows 2008/2009 What would you have traded him on the contract he was on for? Apply that to garland for the same reasons without the Sedins -

[Rumour] J.T. Miller Trade/Contract Talks
Warhippy replied to Podzilla's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
He's been a PPG player for one FULL season and 2 really weird covid shortened seasons where multiple times we faced teams without much of their top players due to covid protocols I don't look at the last 2 years as anything but an aberration -
Colorado pulling a Tampa - Landeskog out “indefinitely”

Not even an issue. Until the Nucks do it with Miller/Hughes or Pettersson -
Man...those were the days

Investing in the stock market - Discussion
Warhippy replied to AV's Coin's topic in Off-Topic General
I've pulled almost all of my money out of the markets. I have about $10,000 split between 4 blockchain/crypto mining stocks and one NFT pairing. I have some in to Rolls Royce because their move towards electric jet engines and small nuclear reactors is now looking more promising than ever, with rumours the UK and german governments are willing to start shoving $$ towards them to get off of Russian energy. And I think, I have one or two more with a slant towards medical aspects like testing and naturopathic BS that people seem to want to dump money in to because drs are bad. All of them are the $0.20 and under kind of stocks, them penny and pink sh*ts but I have $7500 saved up for some interesting plays if they come about. Watching what's going on though with China shutting down again, Russia getting hammered and inflation kicking in the door like a night of surprise sex from your prison cellmate I am more thinking I am doing absolutely squat for a time here. -

All of those dips. Who is buying them and what are you buying? Remember, buying the dip during a potential global conflict can make you a lot of money. It's a serious risk for sure, but if the world ends; not like you'll be spending it or feeling the loss anyways right? -
Anything in and around major port cities and factory provinces will see even further issues int he supply chains. With record fuel prices, inflation running away and the cost of everything essentially increasing by double digit percentages the last few months it's gonna get worse if they keep locking things down.

[Rumour] Patrick Kane Trade Talks
Warhippy replied to Ilya Mikheyev's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I'd be more inclined to trade out Boeser myself
