  1. Are we talking the same middle of the Rd Marino? Boeser for him 1-1 is a loss Garland for him 1-1 I'd consider a loss as well. He's not a terrible player at all. But I'd dare say Boeser and garland hold far higher value to our team currently to just shuffle them off in a 1-1 style trade. We'd have to shed cap or gain something else
  2. Just curious, is there really a large group of idiots on 18 wheels and jacked up trucks going to Victoria to whine about Federal mandates? Do they really expect they'll be allowed to be there for months like they claim they're willing to do? Do they actually think they'll be tolerated? How do they differ from the racist and white supremacist filth that tried to overthrow our elected federal government?
  3. *Checks Mossbergs posting history* *Nods*
  4. The rumoured ask for Kessel starts at a 3rd. With Arizona potentially willing to retain up to 50 percent. I'd think Kessel would be a boon to the Avs especially having played with Kadri and having incredible success doing it. I can't see Kane going for less than an upgraded version of the return for Tofolli and that may price him out of things
  5. Screw it. Sign him and trade him and garland to NJ for the Hughes brothers Bahl and a 2nd. Retain to make it happen. I dunno, figger it out. Wine is tasty
  6. Respectfully, someone once put together a highlight reel of Kyle Wellfeds best moments and he looked like an all star
  7. I think half of my entire collection tight now is bourbon. I've a lot of whiskeys, but bourbon dominates. I'm a casual sipper now. But need to figure it out, I've a Canadian rye, a Japanese whiskey and Irish whiskey as well as a bourbon open. Too much tasting not enough dedication
  8. The graphic that person posted speaks for itself. We saw what Halak has done his last 3 games We're a good team with Miller. But we're not deep, we're not great and we're not contenders. Shut down Miller and or Demko and this team is drafting top 5 again. People have a genuine feat if Miller's next contract, and they should. Myself, my big fear is that we'll see a continuation of Canucks asset management in which Miller leaves at the end of his contract and we get nothing for it. Tavares screwed the islanders by promising to talk contract then left the first day of free agency. Obviously that's not worked out well for the Leafs and the Isles have had some playoff success after him. But my fear is losing assets for nothing, or not being able to fill those glaring holes in the organization that we all recognize. Even if Miller signs a huge contract, at least we can work around it. But that unknown is genuinely something to worry about. We can not afford $9.5 million on a 30 year old player any more than we can afford to let Miller walk for no return. It's a serious rock v hard place situation
  9. Agreed. We're who we are with Miller. But we still need a 3rd line C top pairing RHD, solid LW prospect/player and then depth to make it all work. If we can trade any one piece and obtain 2+ of those missing pieces and depth/options, any GM is looking at that to make a more complete team
  10. That's just it. Miller got neutralized. See how easy the caps handled the team for 2 straight periods? Without Demko that's a 5-2 loss. Bang on. The Hawks, Pens teams had depth and studs from line one to 5-6 We have Miller, sometimes Pettersson and Demko. We're not there. You're totally creating a narrative that I never suggested. You made claims about the Hawks, pens, blues. I pointed out that taking away any one stud player from those teams left multiple stars behind them. We have Miller and Demko. That's our back bone. We don't have a middle 6 that can compete with the top stars in the league. We don't have a large skilled and mobile too 4 on the blue line. We don't have multiple HoF players in our roster. We're just not that deep. That's inarguable. Take out Miller, the stats speak for themselves. Take out Demko, you know what happens. You take away Kane, you have 5 HoF players on that hawks team. Take out Crosby, you have 3 HoF players. He says on a hockey forum completely misunderstanding the entire conversation but still managing to jump in and not make any point whatsoever. Tell me. What is this team without Miller or Demko?
  11. Good fight for the single point but that cutesy passing BS during the PP needs to end. You need to shoot your shot like a Ukranian farmer steals tanks!
  12. 17 nifty 5 foot passes and zero shots generated.... Seriously.................
  13. Kane missing from the team still had arguably one fo the best bottom 6 groups in the league for years. Had arguably one of the best top 4's in the league for years. Had arguably one of the best 2 way centres for years. Had Hossa the end all be all. If we had a vintage (hawks team) Seabrook Bickell Kane Byfuglien Sharp Toews Hossa Keith If we had a vintage (pens team) Crosby Malkin Letang Fleury Kessel Kunitz Gonchar If we had a (blues team) O'Reilly Tarasenko Pietrelangelo Parayko Bouwmeester We could remove any one of them and STILL be contending. But look at that record without Miller. It is damning. But look at the Hawks and Pens line ups. 4+ HoF players on them. That Blues back end had a top 4 that is effectively better than all but Hughes and some of the best middle 6 players of the season that year. We currently have Miller and nobody else is elevating their game in comparison judging by the numbers indicated without Miller in the lineup. No Miller no Demko. This team is drafting top 7. That is not a competitive team regardless of retaining Miller or not. There are too many other holes and issues that need addressing for this team to even say it's a contender.
  14. See how effectively they're shutting down Miller? It is clear and apparent that Miller is the reason we're where we are. This highlights both his importance to this team but also the weakness of the team as well. Any time a single forward is THIS important to a team, there is no chance of contention. No matter what happens you can kill one players effectiveness and essentially control the game as we are seeing now.
  15. Let's highlight the buzzwords shall we CBC: A watchword for those who hate "MSM" because they believe that it is somehow a Liberal sponsor, or took money from "trudeau" oris the mouthpuece of the woke left. Citing the letters CBC is a lightning rod to the misinformed. Fake News: Another buzzword and lightning rod to the ignorant. By immediately labelling something as "fake news" it allows the ignorant and the idiocy to immediately decide without research that no matter the content, it is CBC so obviously it is not credible and totally unreliable. Freedom Convoy: Continuing to label this as a movement for "freedom" allows those organizers of it to continue to dupe the idiocy by suggesting that somehow someway their freedom was somehow in jeopardy and that magically they were being oppressed. Obviously informing the nation they were going to do this convoy, then occupying the nations capital for 3 straight weeks, while setting up cook houses, bouncy castles, a karaoke bar; skating rink and hot tub prove said oppression. But by using the word freedom they enflame the easily duped. We look at all those words, then read the story and see the narrative being pushed without actual basis of fact. Without understanding what retraction means or how a retracted story proves the impartiality and fairness in reporting by the CBC in this instance. Instead they claim it is somehow proof that the CBC is "fake news main stream media" and a mouthpiece for Trudeaus new world order or some such nonsense. Then we actually read the ENTIRETY of the story and find that by a slim margin the majority of funds came from canadian sources, but also that there is unquestionable proof that many major donors did indeed come from foreign sources. But by reading this posters closing statement about the emergency act being based on "fake news outlets" we can see that a few simple buzzwords has in fact completely done the work that misinformation and a pushed narrative, to the easily mislead, ignorant, stupid and honestly laughable rubes; is supposed to do. You have to admit. The marketing done over the past 4 years to the idiocy by the Goebels agenda has worked beautifully in showing that the lower the intelligence in people, the more outlandish and stupid the crap they'll believe
  16. If you get the BH Toast it's actually really mellow. For a bourbon Basil always had that full body and I can't help but enjoy it.
  17. I stand by this. Any time a team is THIS dependent on a single player, that is at the forward position for their success. The team is NOT a contender and is in fact deluding themselves. Signing or trading Miller will NOT immediately fix the weaknesses this team has as evidenced by our lack of success without him; but also some of our lack with him. One player can not do it all. Whether we trade him or retain him, the glaring issues with this team still remain and if Miller goes down for any reason and any amount of time; our season is over.
  18. Respectfully. If Miller sneezes too hard on the toilet and blows out his O-ring we're in for a rebuild anyway. Any team this dependant on one specific player that isn't a goalie for their success or failure; is a team that is kidding itself. He's our end all be all; but that means he's also our biggest weakness because we don't have anything to replace what he does IF he does go down, or takes a night off
  19. I've little issue with this as by and large those who will be most affected or infected are unvaccinated. I've caught it, my wife caught it, our youngest caught it and I lost my dad to it. At this stage let it just play out. My biggest issue with all of this is how these unwashed idiots who spent the last 2 years crying about everything being an infringement on their precious freedumbs will now screech that they won some sort of victory. I'd have kept it a month longer nation wide just to keep those areseholes petulant and not given them the timeline that suggests they won something with their karen convoy.
  20. I've considered this as well. Especially in any deal with NYR that involves/Chytil/Kakko/Kravstov and a pick. Take the young player and pick and a + and flip it to the Yotes with Boeser for Chyrcrun and put bubble wrap on his shoulder to make sure he doesn't hurt it again
  21. At the same token, What makes people think he won't RE-SIGN in Vancouver AFTER we trade him to obtain assets to make us a better team for when he returns? Would that not be better?
