  1. 8 days later.....50+ years old. Probably super healthy too right? My friends brother, super fit 36 year old keeled over and died of a heart attack 4 months ago while doing a spin session on his peloton bike in his garage. So by your token, peloton bikes are killing people and thankfully people like me who don't have one are safe so I should stop listening to people who bike for their health
  2. One person from here from a "small town" and he knew of 3 people who died in his town from it. Of course there's literally zero record or news of any one single town in canada having 3 reactions resulting in death, but he knew 3. THREE Joey!!!!!
  3. People are catching a mere cold and soon ending up dead. Pointing this out is fake news and fear mongering? Try concerning and factual. Save your anecdotal statements something something fool
  4. My friend got vaccinated and 2 days later got hit by a car. Coincidence? I think not.
  5. How many awards, trophies, division titles or cups has he hoisted? Playoff round wins? None? At all? Fancy that. Not so dominant I guess
  6. I actually had pissed off rednecks in jacked up trucks screaming at Trudeau on my bingo card!!
  7. 100% would do Boeser over Garland. Garland may not be the largest but his engine is like that of an endless muscle car vs Boesers that is a temperamental sports car with a will it/won't it work. Boeser for Zacha 1-1 maybe not but if they added a pick in the later round I'd absolutely do that without blinking.
  8. I dunno. I find that a good bourbon tasting can be an adventure all its own
  9. I do like me some russels. I have tried Bulleit's 10 year but found it to be a bit sharp. Could just be the bottle I was sipping out of at the pub though, so I do have an unopened one here to try. Dollar for dollar, the Jim Beam's Black is actually one of the best sippers I have ever had.
  10. It's actually insanely overstocked yes. I've been told I am not allowed to spread it out and show it off.....So it sits in wine boxes now. Scary thing is, I keep collecting I'll buy 2-3 bottles a week of new stuff and one to sip on. I usually make a bottle last 2 weeks or so; 2 fingers a night only, but it's definitely out of control.
  11. I love bourbon and straight rye whiskeys. Bourbons are for sipping neat. That's how I like it. My issue with Scotches and essentially irish whiskey's are that I drank so much low grade J&B when I was younger (you remember, drinking to get drunk as fast as possible) that almost all scotch tastes exactly the same now. I literally burned my taste buds off on crappy scotch as a teen and just can't find the enjoyment anymore
  12. As of now, my collection is sitting at 93 total bottles. Bourbons, Whiskeys, rums, Tequilas, Gins and Vodkas. My average price per bottle is around $95-$110 but my favourites are the lower end of $60 or less. My sipping bottles are all lower end but they're also my faves. I am keeping my fancier stuff for fun events, milestones etc. The Cavehill Rabbit for my friends birthday, my only Thomas Moore/E. Lake or McKenzie and one bottle of Pappys for like ym kdis graduations or weddings etc. But in between I have my 4 roses, buffalo trace etc because they're so tasty and guilt free sipping.
  13. 4 roses is one of the best value bourbons on the market bar none. you'll love it if you like a good mash bill bourbon Here's some more, a rich to working comparison in bourbons via similar mash bills https://uproxx.com/life/cheap-bourbons-with-same-mash-bills-as-expensive-bourbons/
  14. I feel people need to seriously see our odds on even sniffing the playoffs. Ahead of us in our division alone are San Jose Edmonton Calgary Anaheim Los Angeles Vegas That's JUST our division with us having played more games than all but Vegas and Anaheim. If we look at the wild card, we have San Jose Edmonton Dallas Calgary St Louis All ahead of us all with a minimum of 2+ games at hand, and Winnipeg 3 points behind us with 5 games at hand. We would literally need to hope a minimum of 5 entire teams with games at hand do worse than us by +/- 7 games while we go a minimum of something like 15-4-5 to end the season JUST to hit the 94 point mark. While stranger things have happened, asking us to somehow play a near .700 over our remaining games while all the teams ahead of us with 2+ games at hand and already large point cushions (barring San Jose, Dallas and Edmonton) play sub .400 is an impossibility. While we are enjoying the run. While it is exciting to watch and while we see what is possible. it is just literally impossible to see this team achieve anything more than a 12th place pick in the draft lottery for their efforts. This isn't hate, this is a mathematical statement of fact. The Canucks can not and will not make the playoffs barring an unbelievable run of luck the likes of which beggars what the Blues did to win their cup.
  15. Nobody arrested though apparently. Meanwhile, elders drumming in a lodge in wetsuweten territory were forcibly removed from their homes at gun point, handcuffed, thrown in police vans and riven to a holding tank where they spent multiple days without access to lawyers etc before standing in front of a judge. But whatever, it's a "peaceful protest" and everyone is equal in Canada
  16. So, I am scouring whiskey blogs and websites etc. Trying to ensure I am staring my collection properly etc (after the foresters issue) and just to kind of avoid others opinions on specific bourbons/whiskies, but also get a good feel on tasting etc. Almost universally; I am finding that people are saying that $100+ price points are worthless because some of the best bourbons and whiskies can actually be found from $35-$60 Whiskies, rye and grain mash are usually the ones that buck that trend, a higher price point averages out to a better whiskey experience, but bourbons, the mashbills are almost universally similar and things like 4 roses, Jim Beam Black/cask, Buffalo Trace; Knob Creek and Sazerac all score ridiculously high on almost every single index and are comparable averaged out to $500+ bourbons like Pappys and Thomas Lake. That 4 roses, Buffalo trace are now mainstays in my closet and the more I read the more I wanna sip. I might have a growing problem Edit**. I have purchased a ton of video equipment in hopes to start learning videography for wedding work and commercial work. I have a dream or thought where I can start doing video blogs and channels about local distilleries in hopes to increase their exposure. Maybe get some free booze
  17. Actually tearing the Bushmills apart. I don't like Irish whiskey much but it's growing on me. In a big way. Going for the black and then fintry after
  18. 3-1 vaxxed to unvaxxed new cases. But 4-1 unvaxxed to vaxxed hospitalized. That's damning
  19. I'm so sick of vaxx this, protest that, Trudeau has kicked my puppy since 1978 and Miller should go to the Rangers for all the things. Here's my line up lads. Where do I start
  20. Id be fine trading Boeser and any combo of our cast aways we've all indicated are essentially overpaid roster spots. That would still net us some kind of return while also freeing up a minimum of $6-$8.5 million in cap space
  21. It makes less sense to hang on to assets that will walk or diminish over time. It's traditional for this team to do that I get it. Edler. Tanev. Toffoli. Markstrom. Kesler etc But every time we've traded a high profile asset in comparison, look what's happened. Bertuzzi. Linden. Stojanov etc. I get the argument for keeping them. No question. But this year's a mathematical loss and losing one or two high profile assets for a quality return should absolutely be considered.
  22. Literally any and all trades with the Rangers has been discussed ad nauseum. Colorado is an interesting one as well. Both have what we need and what we want. Miller + even with retention is more than enough to facilitate that. I'd even look at LA right now as a viable suitor with their prospect pool.
  23. Wait, this is still a thing?
  24. Dramatic over reach is a bit dramatic isn't it? Look I get people don't like stark facts but it's a reality for the team this year. Our October and November buried us. We're above water since Dec but it's not enough when looking at the basic numbers. With this in mind, trading assets worth a return to ensure this team is competitive over the next decade is not only an option, but entirely crucial.
