  1. I could pick this apart fairly succinctly starting with the obvious and glaring issues Lafrenier has on the ice. His lack of production. His work ethic issues etc. All under wundr coach Gerard Gallant who can't get more than .3 ppg out if the former 1st OA LW. The last 1st OA forward drafted to produce point totals that low multiple seasons after their draft year was?? Instead I'll just leave this reminder that this was just for fun and not to be taken seriously
  2. Their window with their available cap space is very small. Nothing happens in the east without going through Florida Tampa and Carolina. Last night showed the rags what they need to do to compete.
  3. After watching the Carolina team pick their forwards apart Motte and Miller would change their fortunes in a large way. Motte plus Miller for two prospects, one wildly underperforming under Uber coach Gallant and a pick. I think it's possible
  4. We know that 2022 pick is going to be top 5. Almost without question. Id be willing to risk this years pick of theirs with a top 5 protection just for the Russian wonder but pushing it off a year or two makes it far more palatable for them. But, Also gives us a chance at a top pick next year, or even better for 2024.
  5. This is LITERALLY just for fun. Like LITERALLY not to be taken seriously. If you show up in here with a "wHy wOuLd MoNtReaL dO tHaT you will have missed the entire statement of this not to be taken seriously. BUt The Rags showed last night exactly what they are missing. A responsible hard nosed 2 way forward that can score. Carolina jogged their forward core hard. Miller, as spoken of 1004 times fills that need more than anything. The Rags currently have a blue line that was gifted to them from Orr himself via trade, refusals to sign anywhere else or over achieving draft picks. So trade 1: To NYR: JT Miller 2023, T Motte To VAN: B Schneider, A Lafrenier 2022 1st round pick Now, on to the fun part. Montreal is having their worst season in decades. They just found a new player agent rookie GM. He has a surprising number of francophone players under him or did while he was an agent. Montreal and Quebec fans in general are looking for something, ANYTHING to rally behind. This is where this comes in. Trade 2: To MTL: A Lafrenier, 2022 4th round pick To VAN: 2023 1st round pick (lottery protected top 3, lapsing to unrestricted 2024 1st round pick) Mattias Norlinder Again, this is just for fun. Means nothing, not serious. The NY/Miller trades have been done to death. Giving them Motte AND Miller hurts us for sure but ensures we get back an absolutely monster return in an RHD we want, a wildly underwhelming Alexis Lafrenier and an additional 1st this year. Dangling Lafrenier to MTL is a no brainer because there HAS to be something they want need. A rookie GM, a battered fan base and a club that will be failing with some ugly holes for a few seasons gives us a gamble high pick in the next two years as well. So ya...these were all certainly words.
  6. Absolutely, and then flip Laff to the Habs for their vaunted need for French Canadian Players
  7. Has an apple and butterscotch flavor. Hits a bit hard but it's not bad. Not my favorite but nir the wirsr either. I'd drink it again
  8. I get the stigma and the clear and present issues with the name But I'd love to see Rutherford bring in Tallon in some sort of executive fashion. Not GM over say but someone with a say in the direction of the team. All he does is build winners.
  9. Yup. Even in 2009-2012 when we were world beaters we didn't have that draw. NYR have a long history of overpaying for stars. The road through the east goes through Florida twice and Carolina Lets take advantage of that
  10. Just imagine if all those bc born players wanted to play in bc Put together a roster from 2008-2022 of BC born players. Man what a dream They lucked in to a 1st overall pick, some higher ones. Are the only destination for a number of trades over the last decade or so, the only place a number of high profile UFAs want to be That blue line is a gift from Orr
  11. I'd have said the same but Fox and that blue line are literally built up on gifts via trad or ufa and shockingly over achieving draft picks
  12. I'm sure 30+point AF in his 100 games has offers being thrown at the rangers for him. Right now, he is as likely to be a Yakupov as he is a Hall If the rangers get an ask for him with a player of miller's calibre you're damned rights they're looking at it
  13. Lafrennier is a 1st OA pick, not lighting it up yet but 2 years removed. A brand new GM in Montreal and the fan base needing something or someone to rally around. I think it's a deal that would interest the Habs If the Habs have a decent prospect of any type plus a first, lottery protected this year, wide open next year for a french Canadian 1st overall trending upwards still salary protected I'd absolutely do that. I'd even eat a small salary for a season to get an additional 2nd out of them
  14. There's a rumour a few pages back regarding lafrennier/kakko and pick(s) about how the rags and nucks talks are heating up Why not? If we snag Lafrennier we can absolutely throw him to MTL for a 1st + We get NYRs 1st/2nd this year, MTLs 1st this or next year plus a top prospect. Lottery protect it for top 5 this year or open trade next year no restrictions. That's 2 top prospects, 4 total 1st round picks over the next 2 seasons, one being high because the habs gonna be baaaad for a while
  15. 100% agree to that They just opened everything up and allowed for challenges to ALL mandates
  16. Lafrennier Schnieder 2nd Then pawn off lafrennier to montreal for whatever they'd pay for a french Canadian 1st OA
  17. If this is the case then why the f*** even bother with the vaxx passport? Travel advisories etc? I've a friend stuck in Mexico because she needs to wait x amount of time and have a clear test to come home. After today why?
  18. NYR have a history of wildly over paying for star players. I'd say let's do Miller to NYR and I'd the return is Lafrennier ++ we then flip Laffy to Montreal for a prospect and a high pick this and or next year Who do the habs have that we want? And do we want a 2nd + this year, or their 1st next year
  19. I know If we could keep miller and add him for Pettersson a goalie and d prospect I'd jump
  20. One can hope. But, at the same time it's possible we see something even worse pop up
  21. I don't see the oilers keeping him and McDavid for the next 2 years. One of them has to go
  22. Why not go all in? Pettersson DiPietro Woo For Draisatl 10% retained
