I saw that today. The total lifting of ALL mandates from masks to passports and it's wide open. Even pushing people back to the office over working from home. All I'd say is thank you for being the world's litmus test

Someone tell me again how not being vaxxed isn't clogging up the hospitals when so few aren't vaxxed but are over 1/3 if all hospitalized cases or more

People are talking about a Cryptocurrency winter" about to take place and it's starting to scare a lot of non hodlers out of the game. Crypto Bros have lost their pants and it doesn't look good. A lot of governmental and institutional pressure keeping it back right now but at days end while volatile it will bounce back in a large way. If I recall the annual meetings are in Feb so we'll see some serious movement on blockchain companies and alt coins coming up in the next 6 weeks

Pappy Van Winkle is essentially the rolls royce of good bourbon. Hard to find in Canada and I believe the distribution wing said only 2 cases of the good stuff will be available across the entire province

Did someone say 18 year high? I think they meant 30. Remarkably, people still want to try to pin the finger on any one person instead of the economy across the globe as a whole. https://www.cbc.ca/news/business/inflation-canada-1.6320085

Any bc government liquor store check the bourbon aisle they'll have the pamphlet with QR code to enter

THis is honestly incredible. Yes only a small portion but truly an amazing thing to have been accomplished so quickly just to get back to even single lane alternating or single lane dual passage is an achievement to be proud of

Mmm....I dunno any lgbtq members in hiding any more. I know of some closeted overly macho types unable to come to grips with their own sexuality but we've come literal light years in the last 2 decades. Further to go still without question. But this...this is probably more about perversion and fun than it is about hiding anything. I mean, if it's a source of concern we can just put a mask on it

Now when you say hole, do you mean the non government sanctioned glory hole in strathcona? What would Bonnie Henry think https://www.vancouverisawesome.com/local-news/alleged-glory-hole-vancouver-park-bathroom-4967155

No single industry is immune from criticism. No single industry can claim they're safe to a person. it is and always has been down to the individual not the industry to ensure that everything goes well. But. And this is again my statement. Without the verifiable proof of numbers showing gyms are somehow or have somehow created more of a case load than pubs, restaurants etc I can't get behind it. I know very well the meathead mentality. But we continue to see cases spike and flow and none of it is currently gym related. once they re-open we will see within 2 weeks but my money is currently on the numbers being consistent and not spiking which will show pretty definitively what's up. I just can't get behind the hypocritical stances we keep seeing, statements in err etc because they're confusing, frustrating and damaging trust in the [populace

That's american and state by state they have vastly different rules. our local facility is very strict. We run a tight show. Again I would need to see the actual case by case comparison of "super spreader events" at gyms in BC vs a case by case count from pubs/restaurants to be able to say unequivocally that there is in fact a clear and concise case to be made for or against it. Until then, this is maddeningly frustrating in terms of how wishy washy it is.

We saw numerous brew pubs be the traced location of multiple exposures over multiple days and events without risk of or issue of closure. This has been the same instance across the province. The inconsistencies are beyond frustrating.

Investing in the stock market - Discussion
Warhippy replied to AV's Coin's topic in Off-Topic General
SO the "winter" of cryptocurrency is coming apparently. Some experts think it will continue dropping with Bitcoin plunging down to around $20,000 or less. That leaves a lot of buy in area and even more crypto bros without an MLM to stand on -

I'm actually hoping to see it hit the $3.80 mark and i'll be jumping back in -
Without seeing the actual data on that I will say thsi is false because we've seen gyms closed en masse for periods yet restaraunts are not and as such have perpetuated the transmission. One can say "super spreader" in a single mass event and that's fine, but if groups of cases occur in the same places again and again and again are they not the same or possibly worse over time?

In my facility yes. Masks are mandated as are 6 foot distances between gym goers. In a pub, not so much. I will go to trivia night tonight, 34 tables will be available at 6 people a table with barely 5 feet between them. It will be full and people will be drinking pitcher after pitcher of beer without wearing masks. Everyone knows each other and it is very social. To somehow suggest or insinuate that this is more acceptable or a lower risk of transmission than sweating it out on a stair climber that is facing a wall while wearing a mask is not somethign we will agree on.
-
Respectfully, you'll never convince me that people drinking in a pub type atmosphere aren't spitting and exhaling loudly and vociferously. Having worked as a bartender at any number of establishments when I was younger and being a pub lover. The people at the bar at Earls drinking until midnight, or in your browns social house are loud, drunk, obnoxious and spewing/spitting as much or more than your average gym goer because at a gym you are mandated to still be wearing a mask where as at a pub you are magically clear once you are seated. Sorry mate, while I agree with you on most counts, in this instance I can not for one instance agree that gym closures make sense but pubs, restaurants and the like that allow drinking, no masks once seated and an average turnover of a table per hour are ok. There's no way we can have this argument in which I will ever see your point of view in what is acceptable vs what isn't based on that statement.

I have multiple phone #s and email addresses. If I win the draw to buy a few bottles I'm hosting a tasting!

Or even worse. Wearing a mask.

I can not stress enough how much I don't care if a person decides to or not get the vaxx. My business in their business doesn't exist because I like to let people live their lives. The moment their selfishness though starts costing other people, or they feel the need to start telling others how to live their lives, or putting others at risk due to it is when I start having serious issues. After 2 years of this, the non vaxxed majority is quiet, silent. Masking up and going about their lives. That vocal minority though...man....

Whatever. Your mom only has stage 3 cancer. Tell her to respect someone's freedom to choose and get on with her life. and DON'T dare tell anyone to wear a mask k
