OK one more time and please actually try to read. Like ABSORB the information as I repeat this for the 17th time for your enjoyment. SA has a MUCH younger population than anywhere in the west you want to compare it to. SA has literally 3rd world hospitals. An estimated 1 in 7 infections don't even go diagnosed. Due to the stigma of illness and rampant poverty coupled with religious beliefs many sick people don't even go to the hospitals as being identified as having an illness like covid is to be ostracized by your neighbours and left without help when you need it. SA and many surrounding nations have little to no reporting availability and in my cases don't even have basic medical equipment let alone capacity to test and record cases int he tens or hundreds of thousands. Now as for Omicron, it is not confirmed to have originated in SA but was discovered there first For the 17th time, are you understanding WHY these facts are inherently dangerous and damning to your constant comparisons? When you ask these questions and get verifiable factual answers do you intentionally ignore them or do you do as I said and just circle back to ask them again a day later when the dust has settled because you don't like the answers you're getting as they miss the Nirvana Fallacy you are seeking?

Once again we're gonna cherry pick data here ok. Quebec has over 2x the population of Alberta. Has 2x the case numbers but almost 3x the deaths. Quebec on average is almost 6 years older per citizen than Alberta as wel, thus harbouring on average a larger senior population while also being the gateway of one of the most populace areas in the entire east coast in Ontario/Michigan/New england, Massachusettes and New York. This is without even factoring in the much larger amount of immigrant populace in Quebec with the various language and religious issues that come with them as barriers What these statements represent are VARIABLES. Things that NEED to be counted in as factors on the how and why of statements such as you've made. Q: Does Quebec have almost 3x the deaths of Alberta? A: Yes Q: Per capita does Quebec look worse then Alberta? A: Yes Q: When the variables such as population density, average age and geographic location to larger urban centres are factored in and the numbers mirrored does Alberta look anywhere near as good as Quebec? A: No Alberta has exactly 5 population centres in Edmonton, Calgary, Lethbridge and Red Deer (medicine hat/Ft McMurray included) as cities with a population of/over or near 100k or more. Quebec on the other hand has 14 cities with over 100k people. An additional 11 cities with 70,000 or more. it has New York State, Ontario and numerous other US states with population densities far greater than Albertas with free travel or near free travel. 3 major international airports, the seaway and more When you factor in the variables of age, population density, geographic neighbours/population and see that Alberta with 4.37 million has had 361,623 cases with 3310 deaths vs Quebec with 8.48 million that has had 620190 cases with 11732 deaths You immediately see that Alberta being as isolated as it truly is as a landlocked smaller area with only 5 large urban centres is nowhere NEAR as rosy a picture as you want to somehow proclaim it to be.

Honestly, many (not all) but a large margin of real estate agents are essentially modern day used car salesmen. Allowing an agency to police itself is insane. Reading numerous stories about federal action coming in on how canada's real estate agents and agencies conduct themselves and it's not pretty. Realtor forcing a couple to go in $230,000 over asking because of all the offers...except their were none and the agent pocketed a massive commission. Blind bidding, shadow flipping etc. It's kind of insane. Without mentioning our allowance of foriegn entities to purchase homes wholesale from trusts and off shore accounts without ever setting foot in canada or paying taxes the same way you or i would.

I was looking for a lot more initially. I held it for almost 6 years before I started the rezoning process. 2 years later I started shopping it. 3.5 years later I started the sale process. nice and quietly. Then my current home came up, circumstances were beyond favourable for the home we got vs the amount of work it needs when weighed against the cost. I found a realtor with vancouver ties, put it up at a more than reasonable ask. They offered more, I told the realtor to inform them of the rezoning issues they politely told us either sign or find another buyer. Ok cool, thanks bye and gl. I had tried to sell the property privately after trying to rezone it for years. NOBODY was willing to bite due to the rezoning issues. Trust me, it's bad. apartments on either side, but duplex behind. No alley access that would be viable as the duplex parking area buts up to the fence and the apartment follows up directly to the back of a way to small garage which would not leave enough space for multiple vehicle passage I work(ed) with a lot of realtors and developers in my time and they all knew the risk. I hired a person I knew with ties to a Vancouver firm and it was purchased site unseen as they thought it would be a steal and slam dunk for development. Until it wasn't. When they offered me $540,000 instead of my $480,000 asking without conditions I signed a second after the email came in and was in the office less than 10 minutes later to finalize.

They Approached the city immediately after taking possession for rezoning. They attempted this for almost 5 months and were unsuccessful in changing the zoning laws. After that they listed for $1.3 million and it is now up for just over $1 million. Essentially a $540,000 purchase which will be doubled immediately. I spoke personally to a number of developers after dealing with the city myself, they refused to touch it because they knew the property and zoning issues. Which is why I chuckled at someone wanting it so badly. The supreme irony, is they could squeeze 3 properties on it and still make an absolute fortune of $750,000+ starting price per place as it is RIGHT downtown. 10 minute walk from the beach, 15 minute walk from the hospital, gyms and grocery stores within 5 mins as well. But everyone wants to be greedy.

I'm flooding money on to my mortgage, I am allowed $52,300 above and beyond my standard monthly. Hoping to pay it off or at least get close enough to paid off that the ensuing interest hikes won't hurt as much And they're coming...lord are they coming

Apartments on both sides. Side by side duplex behind. Parking lots behind and to the side. There is no proper access to the alley because of the duplex and apartments parking lot. With n o alley access, now a bike lane in the front, city amendments don't allow for large development without alley access and with the new bike lane in front of it it also now restricts the style of row home or townhomes that can go in here. Essentially you have room for maybe 7-9 townhome units/long row home. But with restricted access to alley and new bike lane on main exit it leaves it down to a 3 unit maximum. The person who bought it was a developer out of the lower mainland and found the same issues we had occurring. He has dropped the initial sale price down to around $1 million because he cannot get the rezoning amendments he wanted to maximize construction. I spent years trying to amend those zoning issues....was a nightmare and why we sold for what we thought was cheaper than market value for the land size

This is my surrounding area/neighbours (not posting my own home). I went from $422,500 to $571,000 in a calendar year. Literally Jan 1 to Jan 1 Remarkably, some of the larger properties are actually the lower end of expensive. While I know some will look and say between $400k-$550k is not much, keep in mind our average 1 bedroom rental in my area is now around $1500 a month without utilities in a city/region where the median monthly post tax income is around $2300. Mine took a huge jump too, but as long as my increase is the same or less than other Saanich homes, then at least my taxes will only go up by the usual amount.

I bought 3000grocery bag/plastic bags off of Amazon for $35.00 Those are my trash bags and my litter scooping bags. I use a reusable bag for my groceries. Makes literally zero difference to me. Glad an example is being set. -
Their logic is absolutely ridiculous, childish and rather ignorant. 86% of car crashes involved people wearing seatbelts. So obviously seatbelts don't save lives 82% of gun deaths are caused by criminals. Give everyone more guns. 71% of house fires are caused by negligence. Get rid of smoke detectors. Honestly, some of the crap these people keep parading out is beyond frustrating. It shows clearly our education system either failed miserably, or that Goebels was right and stupid people will believe stupid things if you repeat it enough.

ugghh OK again. 16% of new cases are unvaccinated. BUT 55%+ of all hospitalizations/ICU cases are unvaxxed. At a near 22-1 ratio. That's NOT a good thing for the unvaxxed and shows unequivocally, inarguably that the vaccines are in fact doing EXACTLY what they're supposed to which is keeping people out of the hospital

But 55%+ of ALL hospitalizations are unvaccinated. Unvaxxed in BC are in hospitals/icus at a near 22 to 1 ratio Still think that's a win for your camp or? Your argument is kind of like smugly saying, 86% of car owners are forced in to getting ooil changes. But only 16% of car owners are forced to buy new cars because they refuse to change their oil.

You mean that number of unvaxxed being 16% of all new cases but 55%+ of all new hospitalizations, being now almost a full 22-1 ratio of unvaxxed to vaxxed. Kind of crazy that 10% keep screwing it up due to their selfishness
