I actually enjoyed watching it. That's the exact passion I want to see on the Canucks. Shame I can't find video of it anywhere

How'd you like the post game antics?

Because they don't have the understanding to actually debate policy, or if they do they can see that Trudeau's policy very closely mirrors Harpers policy with the previous government and know that whining about one is ensuring that they are whining about their own. But the likelihood of them understanding that is slim. So let's talk about his hair instead, or utilize some conservative rag from India, that bastion of forward thinking's; opinion to lambaste the guy

IN todays world Chretien would be a near perfect conservative. As the values shift so do the posts. 20 years ago a liberal would be a conservative today, and a leftist a pure liberal. It's why you see so many true conservatives eschewing the GOP and Conservative party in canada and America. I was born and raised conservative but what I see out of the party today in no way reflects the values I was raised under.

Well, outside of the trump thread we can actually agree on something? I'm scared... Honestly, and it hurts to say this. Canada hasn't had an actual leader since Chretien. He was the near perfect centrist. He had the balls to say no to anyone but still managed to keep canada Canadian. The last 15 years have have been abysmal in terms of "leaders" for Canada

Just so we are clear. People are up in arms and rabble rabble rabble because. And bear with me cause some of y'all are seriously reaching here. A staffer and NOT TRUDEAU HIMSELF invited a person charged with a crime in India almost 40 years ago, a country where you can gang rape a woman to death and be free a week later; at the behest of the Indian politicians requested guest list And this has you all offended? Snowflakes...you're really reaching for stuff here. I am not a True Dough fan but some of the crap y'all are reaching for is ridiculous. As well, so what if his wife also took a photo with the guy. Wanna know what's more offensive to me Tell me, which one of those photos as a Canadian causes you more grief?

It is not conviction. It is dedication. He is going to see it through with his boys. That is admirable

Yup, still not sure how you drew that conclusion though. He is obligated in his mind to finish his season with his school. If they play to the end it's April 7th. The NHL regular season ends April 7th for Vancouver. 2+2 is in fact 4

Different you say? So you're worried about him not signing because...Guardian type reasons. Ok. So from 4 hours ago.... And from 3 weeks ago But hey...Guardian type reasons

TSP Turku is now 5 losses 3 wins and 2 OT wins in their last 10 games being outscored 30-26 in that span going back to Jan 18th http://www.sportstats.com/hockey/finland/detail/tps-turku-Wd5rVrgM/#results That to me doesn't scream worry about a rookie, it says a team is slumping because some of those losses were blowouts, looking at the highlights as well it's shocking to see what some of the TPS defenders and centers are doing in the defensive zone. Some of the stuff I've been seeing would have had them riding the bus down to Kalamazoo

Cute copy and paste via facebook, I got one too hold on. If you'd like I can start adding all the fun situations in which first nations indivudals across this country are being killed and how people fel it's not their issue cause "natives| The jury decided it was ok for farmer Gerald Stanley to load his handgun and shoot Colten. They didn't care that the gun experts declared there was no malfunction in his gun - in other words, it could not have gone off unless Stanley pulled the trigger. They didn't care that it makes no sense to reach with your left hand into the driver's window to shut off the ignition - even though it's not even possible to shut off an ignition with your left hand from that position. They didn't care that the bullet "coincidentally" went right into Colten's head. They didn't care that Stanley's account doesn't line up with his son's. Because basically, the view of many Saskatchewan farmers is not that Stanley made an unfortunate mistake and shot Colten by accident - no, their basic take is that Colten came into Stanley's farmyard and Stanley had the right to shoot him. Apparently Colten and his friends were just doing what all the white kids their age do all the time - including not only drinking and driving around, but also going into farmyards and taking stuff, stealing gas, and horsing around. Colten sat in the car with a .22 between his legs and never even lifted it, as the white farmers kicked and hammered on the car he was in, and then Gerald Stanley returned to the car with his loaded handgun and shot him. No justice, no peace.

Hardly. Attacks against natives are almost never factored in as a hate crime. Ever. Reverse the folks in this "terror attack" and kill the homeowners, it's "manslaughter" at best and he's out in 5 years or less with time served. See here's the funny thing, you and your type never once factor in WHY people like True-Dough make statements like he does. He didn't undermine anything. He stated that the justice system failed this kid. IN fact it did. The police didn't show when called, they didn't keep Boushie in jail like they should have or found him the help he needed, not one single first nations individual sat on that jury after the defendant demanded to be tried by a jury of his "peers" and after his lawyer said that no native would give him a fair trial. Fact is racism is alive and well and you and your type will never admit that you have those fun underlying feelings towards anyone of less than pasty complexion nor will you ever understand exactly why these statements continue to need to be made. Which is cool I guess. But hey, you can play the victim card and pretend like if the roles were reversed things would magically be different.
-
You would think that something this simple would sink in right. Especially when the farmer said he'd prefer to be tried by a "jury of his peers" and having his lawyer state that anyone of first nations ancestry would be instantly biased to the case and thus an impeachable juror. Why people seem to skirt around the issue of racism in Canada is beyond me

Ever live on the prairies? Like ever seriously spend time there as a teen or young adult? I do not for once second condone a single thing the Boushie did. But stealing gas and running through other peoples properties is a rite of passage. Right up there with cow tipping and greasing up the doors on someones farm rig. I followed the case pretty closely. I didn't expect the guy to get off scott free, but the 2 years I spent in Sask as a kid doing almost the EXACT same thing as Colten Boushie on a near weekend to weekend basis while carrying a .30 around at no point in time did we EVER see or hear anything more than a GD kids... Guns don't just "go off" and racism is in fact alive and well in Canada. I mean you can laugh it off if you want that's cool. But the fact you get a chuckle out of "alleged thefts" kinda says it all imo because no doubt you had thought it was an "alleged murder" beforehand because innocence until proven guilty is a right Right? Again, racism is alive and well in Canada and comments left like the ones I posted clearly show that. Attitudes of the same clearly show that. And while some might lambaste True Dough for his statements, the fact ANYONE has to still make them knowing the attitudes about this says enough Edit** As for the stolen property, again a right of passage. we borrowed ATV's and farm trucks all the time. Always left them empty and safe on the side of a road somewhere. Happens almost every single weekend in Sask and Manitoba; drunken stupid teenagers of ALL races do it. Like jumping out of the hayloft in to a snowbank
