That Petterson and Makar though -
I might have been one of the few not desiring to win because I still feel that Nolan Patrick is going to be a huge bust

2017 NHL Draft - Chicago, Illinois June 23-24 2017

How about that Makar kid though. He's no Petterson but man... -
We will have to play him as a forward after his 5th Norris win then goalie after his 3rd Rocket Richard duh
-
I think you mean potential olympian Bo Sang

I feel due to contracts/roster spots available on the big club and the potential to not make moves involving multiple pieces; even considering Burmistrov's departure, that there's not enough spots/space for the plethora of kids apparently destined to make it out of training camp. Some are already writing in Gaudette, Petterson AND Dahlen/Lind/Gadjovich/Juolevi In this teams history If I recall we've had only 1 season where 3 rookies made it via training camp. My point alone is that Green makes players earn their ice time. Even Boeser sat out the first 3 games and was handed minimal ice time to start the year and look at what he's doing. Gaudette is not Boeser. Factor that in with the lack of available roster spots due to guys under contract next year and it's easier to see these kids from Europe/NCAA starting in Utica is all I am saying. Without question we could see them on the club, but it is more likely we don't

You can look at his draft year and now with a near 24 + pound weight difference and see he is slower. I anticipate he gets faster as his body adjusts
-
I don't see a situation in which earn your time Green gifts an untested NCAA player the 4th line center position when he didn't even give it to Gaunce is what I am saying. We've too many centers playing the wings as it is right now. Is there a chance he makes it next year? Yes. Is it likely? Not so much based on the projected roster as it stands for next year and a lack of available spots
-
Based on? 3 years of hockey in the NCAA? He's good no question but who does he supplant at center with Green the position friendly coach? Sedin Sutter Horvat Gaunce Gagner Granlund Then Dowd and Chaput as well. That's a lot of bodies at the center position with more pre-existing experience who are already cemented or shuffled to the wing, which for Gaudette who would be on the RW is already over crowded. It has nothing to do with his skill and everything to do with far to many people in these positions already. If he plays lights out that's great. But without some movement in the roster as it is he's far from a lock to make the team like some seem to be swearing he will. The same applies to Petterson who has already indicated there's a chance he stays in Europe or at the least does not play in the NHL next year. We're still a full season after this away from those expiring contracts and moved bodies which would give us the room to start slotting in more rookies. And IMO that's not a bad thing
-
Gaudette will not make the team next year unless there is some significant moves made. Too many vets in too many positions. It has nothing to do with skill or hopey feely projections and everything to do with too many bodies in the way

Yet again, look CDC continuing to whine about which player we should have taken, how terrible they are in the WJC and of course how that means they'll never be NHL players because "some analyst said something and anaytics" I truly want to believe that after this long some people would have grown up enough to stop writing literal kids off after a single year; or that they'd be intelligent enough to not base or project future success off of a single 5-6 game tournament. But then hey, CDC right Maybe we should ask Ferraro or Dreger though what they think
-
While this is great and all I think we all need to be a little more realistic and simply listen to the 2-3 people on here that know better than most. OJ is just totally underwhelming and was a bad pick at 5 obviously I mean...obviously right? The world juniors is the end all be all indicator of future success. Hodgson, Schroeder and more.

It is all a lot of people in the center and right seem to care about these days. They never consider once that governments don't hire/fire people or set prices for anything but are quick to accuse them when jobs are lost anywhere or prices go up for any reason. Economy is in fact doing well, services are in fact being increased and social standards are returning. The guy isn't perfect at all. His party is not much better than the old party. But it still makes me laugh to see people putting him down for doing the EXACT same things they championed 4 years ago under the old government. I don't like him myself, but he's a step up. It will be seeing what he does with his next majority that matters. I never base anything off of one single term; far to little time to actually be able to say "we did this" without knowing the first 2 years were simply getting things in order
-
CDC logic Hodgson/Schroeder lit it up in the WJC obvious pros Juolevi didn't look like he was panicking and was held off the score sheet against tournament favorites Canada while not holding a captaincy. Disappointment

My people believed in 5 genders. Male Female Spirit Male Spirit Female and Two Spirit People Spirit Male referred to each other as sister and the female/spirit female often lead a house where a two spirit person more frequently lead a tribe being able to see both sides of the things. If you look through history 3 to 5 gender recognition in cultures is wide spread. Basing everything on science with a root ignorance in religion is what we are seeing now. Much like the bias against homosexuality which is entirely a religious dogma where as over the last 4000 years it was encourage by armies, generals and wanderers. But then this is about how Trudeau is sooooo unpopular
-
And? If there was a snap election tomorrow he'd still be holding a majority. Bottom line is he is NO different than Harper and in fact hasn't done much of anything that is not immediately related to the Harper Govs bills and laws and is in fact being condemned for doing nothing mroe than pushing the former governments laws through The supreme irony of political division is that I can watch a group champion stupid laws and idiocy in government than sit and cry while the new government continues those practices.
