  1. You know who is also a playoff team next year? ATHACAnucks. #keepmiller
  2. NYR doesn’t want Miller. Only Vancouver fans think so.
  3. Why move Matthews? He’s basically God in Toronto. Tavares, Nylander, Marner and anyone not named Matthews has a glitch greater chance of being dealt. And if he’s indeed a trade chip, the Canucks should be all over that.
  4. If Demko shuts the door in the playoffs, we’re in great shape. We know he can. The rest is almost all in place. It’s time to make the playoffs year after year after year and move up from round to round.
  5. No retaining on any salary going out. Why clean all the books when you’re keeping the shelves dirty?
  6. Yep. That is equal value. I would add. VAN Lafreniere Schneider Chytil 1st NYR Miller 2nd 3rd But there are also a few players that could also be traded away. However, the most important part is, this team is finally figuring out some chemistry between them. Remember how deflated and uninspired when Benning didn’t re-sign Toffoli and Tanev, and ESSpecially Markstrom. Chemistry takes years of growing together. Putting players together every year because analytics say they should work out together, is completely discounting the human experience. This is where I am very apprehensive to “clean house” and retool. It usually doesn’t work, and if it does, it takes half a year to get back to some sense of normality.
  7. I’d be very surprised if there was a country club atmosphere in the Canucks room. Not with Boudreau at the helm. There’s probably a nonchalance derived from all of those sage Sedin years of if-someone-slaps-you-around-in-the-playoffs-take-it-like-a-champ-and-don’t-fight-back-even-though-it’s-the-Stanley-cup-finals mentality. But there’s no way Miller behaves like it’s a country club atmosphere. Perhaps that was his frustration with Green; that things weren’t moving fast enough… However, these kids including Horvat need a fire pit up their expensive a$$es. I think Horvat got a good talking to by Boudreau when it was evident who the leader in the room was. Horvat did, however, show up instead of fold. And that’s a great thing.
  8. I’d be ok with moving Horvat and Boeser. Gotta be some serious assets coming back this way though.
  9. Pastrnak giant happy because, like everyone else knows, he knows he should’ve been a Canuck.
  10. True. If it were a year to year type of deal, perhaps… Signing this guy long term would fast become a detriment. Some people aren’t meant to be in the same position in the same company forever. Not everyone is a government worker. In the NHL, the old guard’s loyalty has fast disappeared. They follow the money. Kane will probably sign a hefty short term contract with a spectacular team. As we discovered his true worth to a playoff run, so has he found out his worth to a playoff team. The douchebaggery is phenomenal. So is the talent.
  11. The talent is there no doubt. The arrogance makes people violent. The sheer idea of nefarious acts plagues his aura.
  12. The young dude that shuts the door in the playoffs? Some Knights still have PTSD. Trying to hand a Cup to the Oilers are ya? Their Achilles heel is goaltending.
  13. The oilers were one of the only teams who offered Kane a contract.
  14. There are no good RHDs in this draft. Rare are the Ds. It’s a forwards draft. An RHD would come from a trade.
  15. I don’t know what game one next year will be like. But I predict the Prince George Icemelts vs the Quebec City Palmtrees 3-1 in 2132.
  16. Here’s the trade that needs to be done and very urgently: VAN Miller
  17. Naw. We still have a very active and leader Miller. Nothing lost. We also have Pettersson, Hughes, Horvat, Podkolzin and Demko. Nothing lost at all. Teams are allowed to have their own coming out prospect parties too you know…
