  1. I know right? Boeser is only second in goals behind Matthews. It is simply, not good enough.
  2. Truculence. For some reason he reminds me of Messier... Without the history and garbage.. Messier was a great player... Imagine Benning drafted a Russian Messier?
  3. Was gonna say... no hitting really. The Canucks are playing a much better team game tonight. But the truculence doesn’t exist on this team. Pure skill teams get desTROYED in the playoffs. Or at least, shut down. But that stop on Gaudette. THAT’S where Canucks hockey went.
  4. The “fire Benning” thing came from you. Boring. Just so we’re on the same page, for the article I’ve posted: ”Why they want Virtanen: On the one hand, the Senators are in the same boat as Detroit in icing an AHL-quality roster on a nightly basis. On the other, they’ve got an abundance of young forwards battling for ice-time, and Virtanen would serve to only further clog the pipeline. Still, Ottawa was reportedly heavily interested in Virtanen during the offseason — even willing to take him as the sweetener in a Loui Eriksson dump, if rumours are to be believed — and that interest apparently hasn’t lessened since the start of the 2021 season. The fact that they could acquire Virtanen without him having to quarantine is obviously a huge plus. What they might offer in return: Where to begin? Chris Tierney, only two years older than Virtanen, would make an excellent stop-gap center. Logan Brown is a younger, but similar, option, who may have blown his last chance in Ottawa this past training camp. On the farm, names like Vitaly Abramov could also draw interest, and any Ottawa draft picks one can get their hands on are always valuable commodities. Heck, if that Virtanen-and-Eriksson-for-nothing trade is still on the table, the Canucks should snap that up in a heartbeat.”
  5. ...and “fired”... Hyperbole or not, I think it is very overdone on these boards and quite frankly, it is getting boring. So I raised the issue on that. Because repeating en masse to “fire” someone isn’t part of the subject I posted. I do thank you for your understanding.
  6. Have you ever tried to offload $8,500,000 of super weak assets, with only 30 options? I’m sure Benning is trying every day of his life to get things done, and more than he’s paid for doing it because he’s a hockeyman first and foremost. His biggest mistakes so far, is to have slightly overpaid for bottom 6 talent to protect young kids on skates, and more importantly, drafted so successfully that other assets have to fall quicker then anticipated. It’s a really good problem to have. It makes us see that Virtanen, Benning’s first ever pick in Vancouver, is the only weak pick so far, with Juolevi’s book still wide open, and that’s because since then, Boeser, Pettersson, Hughes and the upcoming Podkolzin are in the mix, which are kind of looking like somewhat alright picks I’d say... Now let’s take all of the fans out of all of the arenas and let’s try to offload that $8,500,000 in super weak assets again, to one of the 30 options.
  7. I’m not upset over Markström either because we have Höglander and Höglander, like Markström, has an ö in his name.
  8. Nevermind. Article from 2020. delete.
  9. Did we ever find out who was said to never become as successful as he could be due to video games?
  10. Saw it on Pettersson’s face Saw it on Green’s face Saw it on Hughes’ face Kind of a look of “mockery over the situation it’s so ridiculous” kind of sentiment. The season wasn’t even started and we could see the frustration on Horvat’s face, of things to come, especially the interview when Miller wasn’t allowed to play.
  11. What makes you say that? I think it could very well be the opposite. Do something.
  12. Thank God I tuned in just in time for the first goal.............. again................ They get scored on so much, it’s not exactly a coincidence.
  13. Virtanen was Benning’s first pick in Vancouver. I’d say he’s done quite well after 2014.
