  1. Did you see the game yesterday? Sutter and Roussel ROCKED. Basically now that the playoff race is on, the vets are showing up. This team doesn’t nearly have the same success if they don’t ice players like Beagle, Roussel, Sutter and Myers. There may be a case for an Eriksson trade, but even he has turned it up. These vets ARE. needed.
  2. Ok I’ll bite anyways. Hughes is their own version of the future. VAN Hischier (that contract suuuuhhhhks!) Simmonds NJD Eriksson (that contract sucks lehhhhsssss...) Stetcher DiPietro The Devils have $22.000 MIL cap space so they have no problem financially and in all honesty, they’re probably tanking for the next three years. So riding Hischier/Hughes for a few years is probably the plan.
  3. I was going to reply something about trading for Hischier. Until I saw that contract. $925,000 this year. But a seven year, $7,250,000, Modified NTC Contract kicks in next year.
  4. 1. 1994 Cup Final 2. 2011 Cup Final 3. The we traded for Luongo. 4. 1999 draft. 5. The Burrows goal that slayed the dragon. HONOURABLE MENTION Bure anything One-punch JovoCop The Linden trade Odjick brawls 1-22-33-44-55
  5. With one hand; Getzlaf style.
  6. I absolutely love that our 6OA14 is turning into a 6OA. Excellent management from the organization top to bottom.
  7. I really like his GAAAAaaaaame.... Hes doing everything to stay in the NHL. love it.
  8. It’s not the deadline yet. This is just a regular season-time hockey trade. Been think what it would take to get Zucker on the Canucks’ lineup. A line with Miller and Zucker probably would’ve been money. I’m sure Mallon or Crosby will be satisfactory to Zucker nonetheless.
  9. If they take this for Simmonds, no worries about the Cap. All good to me. Benning could certainly do another deal somewhere else for Cap. How are Simmonds’ wheels?
  10. I’d say Benn plays and Brisebois is in the box.
  11. We don’t need to overhaul the team. Tryamkin is probably coming back in April. Check on trading for a D. Ferland is coming back soon. This is the type of player team would trade for at that time. Yet another forward we don’t have to trade for. Goaltending is ace. So really, it would have to be a deal that makes our team much better. The Canucks don’t need a deal just to make a deal. There is no pressure on this GM who is about to deliver on the sudden summertime demands of making the playoffs this year.
  12. Ummm..... Pettersson two years in Hughes 40pts in his rookie season so far Gaudette handling 3C pretty good Tryamkin Podkolzin on fire in Russia Madden Gadhovich Höglander Lind Juolevi Brisebois Woo DiPietro
  13. I see this post every year. Colorado never makes the trade Canucks fans think they would. It’s borderline “why try, well get beat” mentality. Lucky for us, we have winners managing the team.
  14. No team looks to trade for Simmonds unless they truly believe they’re a playoff team. I love the idea of adding Simmonds. He’s definitely got some major grit.
  15. Buffalo has unravelled into disarray. Jack Eichel was very critical of the atmosphere and attitude in Buffalo And now BC boy Sam Reinhardt has called out the Sabres. What gives. Anyone in for another local boy on pace for career highs? If interested in Buffalo Sabres players, let’s hear it out. We’ve heard of Ristolainen all along. But it seems the Sabres are ripe to unload something to fix a toxic mix.
  16. When all things are said and done, Stetcher is probably the guy to go yes.
  17. ...and drastically reduce the chance of going deep into the playoffs with the most interestingly improved team I’ve seen in years. When I saw Tanev crash into Hertl and NOT get injured, I felt we may have finally turned the corner with Tanev. Instead, Hertl got injured. Tanev seems fresh out there due to depth. The playoffs are going to be tough. A Canucks team with Tanev on it is a much better team than a team without Tanev on it. However, due diligence dictates that the organization asks what Tanev’s plans are. If he is to bolt at the end of the season, that’s a discussion that could lead to a trade deadline deal. But in light of the current standings, if he were to be asked if he wanted to stay and said yes, you re-sign him. Bringing in Myers really stabilized the D. Hughes is running circles around everyone and Tanev is the perfect partner for him. Bringing in Tryamkin would just further keep the other defensemen even fresher as he can take a good chunk of animosity away from others. Another aspect of bringing in Tryamkin is that he wouldn’t cost anything in terms of trades Benning would be making at the trade deadline. How much would a 6’7” Nasty D would cost to acquire? And really, who would that be? I. would love. to see what Tryamkin does in the playoffs where whistles are put away.
  18. I feel Tanev will re-sign.
  19. EDLER - STETCHER HUGHES - TANEV TRYAMKIN - MYERS
  20. Never been. But this year they look good. The only question marks this year in terms of “regularly out of the lineup” players, are Tanev and Edler. But unlike previous years, the depth on defence is better and the players more durable. Myers, Hughes, Fantenberg And Benn are all more durable than the players they replaced, which makes Tanev and Edler more durable in return as they are less taxed physically. Im not saying the D will all be healthy the whole time. But this year is as good as any.
  21. 50pts for Karlsson. But that contract prevents how many other points from how many other players?
