  1. 28 years old, fewer than 100 faceoffs taken in his 7 season career. 250 career games total. Not only does he take like no faceoffs, guy is 30% career faceoff man. Lol. I'd be surprised if any team signs him. Likes to hit at least.
  2. It's easier to find a goalie than it is to find a Bedard. That's all I know.
  3. I have 0 interest, but I am also not against targeting him for the right price.
  4. And 3 more 1st round picks and they only just laugh at you. The made tens of millions of dollars off this kid already, and they haven't even drafted him yet. Lol.
  5. 2014 was supposed to be a bad draft too. It looks like one of the better ones in recent memory. I am not saying this'll be a great draft. But at the end of the day we're judging 17 and 18 year old kids as if we know their absolute futures. I am not gonna base my entire decision on trading down based on someone's crystal ball. With that said, there are some really interesting names at 11. We're kind of in a spot where we're hoping other teams make ballsy picks. Who is available at 11 means more to me than some random graph trying to predict the future.
  6. Michkov is not dropping to 11. I just can't see it. If he is I am sprinting to the podium to select him. Guy is a 1st overall pick in any other draft. If it weren't for his KHL contract nobody would question him as a top 4 guy. The idea he drops out of the top 10 sounds absolutely insane to me. Benson is an interesting name, undersized winger. I dunno. Tired of drafting. Our team is riddled with them. I won't cry if we do take him. Very good upside. But I'd rather just trade down and grab more assets if we can't take Dvorsky or Reinbacher.
  7. If Dvorsky and Reinbacher are gone, I don't mind trading down and getting a couple picks and even dumping a contract. Willander at 19, couple 2nd rounders and we move Garland's contract? Absolute win. But only if Dvorsky and Reinbacher are gone at 11. For me. I don't know what the team's draft board looks like. As an uninformed loser that only has scouting reports and draft rankings. I like Dvorsky and Reinbacher the most around our pick. Drafting once in the first two rounds has me uneasy. So if we can trade down and move Garland and draft three times in the first two rounds I feel a lot better. We take their 2nd rounder it's almost like getting a late 1st round pick. Take Willander and Cam Allen or Bonk if he goes in the 2nd round. We're lookin' pretty decent.
  8. You're gonna judge a 17/18 year old kid's character because he doesn't want to leave his country/continent while his country is intense turmoil? You have 0 clue what his reasoning for staying is. You're such a drama queen. Lol. The fact his father died is very likely why he doesn't want to just uproot and abandon his family during such a difficult time. But sure, because the 18 year old wants to stay with his heart broken family. He's got bad character. Honestly, give your head a shake.
  9. The same sentiments were said about college players when Vesey dipped on his team. Imagine if we passed on Hughes cause he was a college player. Or Boeser for that matter.
  10. I got killed for saying this on reddit, I didn't like the trade at the time it was made either. We didn't need a project winger. We still have our own project wingers we want to develop. If Kravstov was a center or a d-man I would absolutely be okay paying the AHLer + long shot pick for him. It was a silly trade from the get-go imo. But like I said, it's not really a huge deal. It's just a waste of nothing assets and time.
  11. I kind of figured he was gonna go the way of Goldobin. Rangers fans on Reddit had nothing but good things to say about the news as well. Lol. Most said they knew it was coming, only one guy I seen said he was glad they didn't trade a star for nothing. Had no upvotes. So it definitely seems like most of them already knew he was a nothing burger before this news came out. It sucks to trade Lockwood and a 7th for a floater. But I won't cry too much, but this is why I am tired of taking other team's cast offs. They are cast offs for a reason. It's clear he wasn't built for the NHL or for the grind. People blamed the Rangers for not developing him, and while they are bad at it. You can't develop a dude if he refuses to report to the AHL. Lol. Development is one part the team and one part the player actually willing to learn. Kravstov and Tryamkin are the types to run from hard work and paying their dues. Good riddance. Glad he is far away from Podkolzin, I still have hope for him.
  12. A trade I am willing to make if we get the Nordiques back.
  13. Trying to save money or is their AHL team still in the playoffs? Feels like a weird time to waive someone.
  14. Haven't heard a lot, we did hear some stuff surrounding Toronto. But that was likely more speculation than actual rumour. The issue with a Myers trade is it's hard to iron out a deal when the bonus and his cap hit are pretty hard to maneuver around. So I feel like any trade discussions from management dies almost immediately. Teams are likely just telling us "yeah, circle back in the offseason when his bonus is paid." But now we don't even know if that can be paid before September. How many teams want a 3mil dollar 3rd pair guy in September when they could have acquired them already in July? So most if not all talk around trading Myers is just fans hoping, just to be sure I am not separating myself from the group. I very much hope we can move him during the summer. My guess is the best bet for a trade is around the TDL though. If his bonus is set for September, it's very obviously setup that way to stop a trade. So the odds of us speeding up that process is low.
  15. Why exactly do they do this? They can get way more for Nylander in literally any other trade. Nylander is way better than Boeser and Liljegren is way better than Rathbone. They aren't saving much if any cap. So they are in the same cap crunch and they got much worse.
  16. Has Bedard said he ain't going to play for Chicago yet? Or has anyone decided they want to give us a top 2, mid 20s RHD for our pick? Only things that'd make me happy.
  17. Shiiiiiiet, I'd do two 1sts for that deal. Lol. Literally fixes our 2 biggest needs in one fell swoop. And we lose nothing of value. I love Boeser, but we have wingers like him. 11th overall sounds neat, til you realize not much interesting from what's expected to be available. The other 1st sounds crazy, til you realize we'll be lining up McAvoy and Hughes on the same damn pair with OEL and Hronek running shotgun. F them picks. But really, they're not moving Charlie Mac for that package, even with another 1st rounder added. It's a half contender move half rebuild move. Why exactly do they want to trade for a 26 year old and futures? Can they replace Charlie Mac from within? Are they gonna blow up the roster? If so, why would they want Boeser? Lol. They can get more for McAvoy alone. Let alone gifting Coyle as well.
  18. Stephane Leroux said he doesn't believe Montreal scouts wouldn't touch him at 5. Which is actually surprising for him to even be available at 5 given Michkov's talent. Leroux was the guy that said Montreal was gonna take Slavkov over Wright as well, and lots of people said he was dumb for that take. So he isn't nobody. But he talked with Montreal's scouts about what they're after and thinks they'd pass on Michkov at 5. Again, just from a pure talent standpoint I don't care what your organizational need is, Michkov at 5 is a steal. So if they'd pass on him at 5, makes you wonder what it is they see about him that has them thinking of passing on him at 5. Obviously Montreal isn't the end all be all for scouting. The decision to go Slavkovsky over Wright is still in the air. But the idea of passing on Michkov at 5 seems mind boggling. Now the original idea was taking Michkov at 11. If he falls that far, you can't tell me there isn't the possibility of glaring issues. Michkov in any other draft that doesn't have a generational talent is far and away the number 1 guy. In what world would you look at him at 5 or especially 11 and not wonder why he is available there. But I will admit, this is me over thinking things. For all I know it's purely a Russian thing that has people worried. Cause if Michkov was available and I was picking 2-4 I am 100% taking him.
  19. Ngl, I don't like what I am hearing about Michkov. Could be Yakupov 2.0. But at 11? Sheesh, might just do it. Depends on who is there at 11.
  20. Okay, now I know there will be a bunch of folks jumping in saying "WON'T HAPPEN, NEVER HAPPENING. IT'S DUMB." Lets do this thing that we haven't done in a while, for some of us in decades, called "use our imagination." Oooooh, "what is that" you're saying. Let me tell you. It's where we make up things for funsies. Now, let me tell you a story about this time I got in one little fight and my mom got sca- wait. Wrong notebook. This is a story where a young lad by the name of Connor Bedard comes out and says "hey guys, I don't want to play for the franchise that does shady stuff then sneakily tries to bury it. I only want to play for Vancouver. I have Canucks PJs with the Sedins' name on it." Now this is where you cuties come in. What is your "Lindros package" for Bedard? How far are you willing to go for the historic greatness that is drafting 1st overall? For those that don't remember or were like me and only existed for about 4 months when that trade happened. Lindros went for like 6 players, 2 picks and monies. Which I don't think we can do anymore. But that's 8 assets total excluding the monies.
  21. If Bedard could go ahead and pull a Lindros, that'd be great.
  22. I'll be at work for the lottery, but I'll be here with y'all in spirit. Enjoying our immense disappointment. I hope to come home from work pleasantly surprised though. Godspeed ping pong balls. Land our way for once will ya?
  23. I still have hope, albeit slim. All I really want is for him to not end up in Chicago or Anaheim. Chicago for obvious reasons and Anaheim cause they went 2016 Buffalo/Edmonton. Had good goalies but intentionally iced a blueline worse than ours.
