Never said you had to focus on the whiners, but there is a point to be made the PP shouldn't just drop pass every zone entry. But don't worry, they shred garbage teams for 5/5 on the PP and pads that stat. But we'll ignore that too and just say the PP has nothing that can be improved on. It's perfect and infallible. See, I can be facetious too.

[Discussion] - Nashville “Open” for Business
JeremyCuddles replied to laddie's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
You don't understand not negotiating with a team because they are only offering UFAs is unintelligent? I am not sure how to dumb that down anymore but I'll try. I do not care if they aren't offering up "core" players, if they are having a yard sale regardless of what they are selling I'd be interested in asking the price. And it doesn't hurt to ask about "core" players. Nobody is untradeable. Other GMs ask about players we'd consider off the table all the time. -

If the price is right, sure. I am not against UFAs like most. If they are only offering up UFAs then they can forget about asking for Hoglander and Podkolzin and every young player on the roster. To not even ask or negotiate because of some inherent hate towards UFAs isn't particularly intelligent, but to each their own. -

Nashville reminds me of my EA teams, loaded with talent but don't sim well. Lol. Granlund is interesting. Arvidsson would be a great RW option to round out Bo and Pearson. Doubt they move on from him though. Friendly contract, all heart player. Subban may be a bit of a joke in some eyes but he was a pretty big loss for Nashville. He ate minutes on that blueline and expecting a young rookie to fill those shoes is a tough ask. I'd negotiate hard for Arvidsson, maybe Forsberg but that's a huge ask and they'd be fools to move him. Arvidsson is really what I hope Hoglander can become. Undersized but has lots of heart and talent. Can play either wing but being right handed he'd fit nicely with the 2nd line imo. -
One might say it was unwise drafting Madden. We could have got Madden for $80 at Gamestop.

[Proposal] Hoglander to LA
JeremyCuddles replied to Ossi Vaananen's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
I don't see them trading Toffoli for two anchor contracts extending into next season and only walk away with one prospect, especially to a divisional rival. I love Hoglander, but I doubt the perception around the league is as high as it is around here. They'd be doing us a massive favour taking them off our hands let alone throwing in a top 6 forward. Worst case scenario we let him go and we just freed up 7-8 mil in cap for a prospect. Best case scenario we got a guy that has a Pearson like resurgence AND got rid of two cap dumps. Personally I like Hoglander too much to do the deal, but I also doubt LA values him highly enough to take Baer and Sutter off our hands. The odds of Toffoli fitting in with Bo and Pearson is too high on top of doing us a huge solid taking Baer and Sutter.
