[PGT] Edmonton Oilers at Vancouver Canucks | Dec. 23, 2019

Funny enough I just seen a youtube video where Gretzky said he played in the right era. Scoring today is much harder. -
Never said I advocate the move but yeah not sure that’ll fly. :p Then again Myers and Edler don’t look too shabby together.

Better yet throw in Marky, Virtanen, Benn, two more firsts and Juolevi and lets nab Draisaitl too. -
Juolevi has been great in the AHL. I mean, if the coaches assessment means anything to you. He'd be in the NHL now if not for these injuries. His talent is not in question, and if it is you aren't following him all that much. It's hard to find in depth stats, specifically TOI, but from what I hear he is playing in literally every situation. I think the main reason we haven't seen OJ, outside of his injuries, is they don't want him coming up and being sent down and coming up etc. Sautner, with all due respect, isn't in the long term plans so calling him up is whatever. They are letting Juolevi sit in the AHL and keep in a rhythm playing top 2 minutes. Kinda like what they did when they sent Jake down. They didn't call him up at all after they sent him down.

People get too caught up in pairing/line number. The point is Edler and Subban are together and Tanev and Hughes are together.

Makar I’d say has been better, Colorado looks worse without him too. If he doesn’t miss too much time he is the frontrunner for Calder. But Hughes is indeed playing unreal this season. 35 points would have been a great rookie campaign for him in my eyes. He looks like he’ll smash my bar. Glad Eagle is back. Not a fan of how Hughes was deployed when Edler was injured.

[Discussion] Alex Galchenyuk

Probably not realistic but with Andersson out there gotta tie him with everyone else on the market. Maybe a Chucky (some cap retained) for Andersson might not be outta the question. Being in the same division probably not but never know. -

It feels right in here. I always feel bad when I comment on Jake cause it's almost always in his defense. There are times I want to defend him but don't cause I don't wanna come off as a homer as they say. Jake has been my fav hockey player ever since early 2013. So I do have some bias when it comes to Jake but it still sucks when I see people just hating the hell out of him cause he's not what you'd expect from most 6th overall picks. He is a good dude, a lot of fun to watch, and I still think there is more from Jake if given the opportunity to show more. Happy holidays everyone, even those that hate my favourite player. -
I am seeing 18 minutes. Lol.

[GDT] Penguins @ Canucks Dec 21 7PM on CBC Winter Solstice Edition

Oddly enough defensively Eriksson is fine, where the problem lies is he is a black hole on offense. Nothing really seems to happen at best and at worst he kills the play for us. Lol. If he needs to be played, it's best to play him in the top 6. I don't want him F-ing with the bottom 6, both lines have been really good for us. He adds nothing to those lines and is best suited to play with more skilled players anyway. At worst they can makeup for his gaffs in the ozone and in the dzone he holds his own. So it works out well for everyone.
